  1. I took a break for like 6 months to ensure nothing effects the child. Rather be safe than sorry. Children’s health is much more important
  2. Thanks Gatsby. I been on fin 10 years and I am sure it has helped. I have friends who have gone bald and I still look good for my age. Regarding oral min…just afraid of the shed to begin with, also hypertrichosis as body hair is already dark and thick.
  3. Thank Melvin brother! Congrats on your little one. Min either oral or topical can't hurt I daresay
  4. Hi everyone. I hope all is well and I have been away from the forum for years. It has been 10 years since my first transplant (2013, 2402 grafts) 7 from my second (2016 2400 grafts) and 3 from my third (2020 1126 grafts,). I have also been on finasteride since 2013 which I started just after my first transplant. Life has been good, I have a beautiful little boy who is just under 2 and a half years old. He is healthy and well despite taking fin. Hair wise; nothing much has changed apart my hair is turning grey from the sides. Am thinking of one final transplant to the hair line possibly with another doctor . Crown area from the right side is thin but I wouldn't do surgery in this area. I have been debating to start minoxidil either the foam or oral. Oral be better but I do not want hypertrichosis. If I do start it be the lowest dose of 1.25mg.
  5. Had some micro-issues regarding the hair line and the 3rd surgery was mainly to increase density. Or I say hair greed. No I did not have any shock loss. The third surgery I had a small amount of shock loss on the side of the head but it has grown back. Had no shock loss in previous transplanted areas. It shows the high training standards of Asmed which they strive on.
  6. These were taken last year (May). At that time I was 3 years post op from 2nd op
  7. You are wrong about medication. Meds help thicken hair and can even grow miniaturised hairs back to terminal hairs. Including in THE DONOR. I am proof of this concept. Obviously thick, terminal hairs from the donor help in increasing the illusion of density. I have seen “normal” results of Couto and they all posted by real-patients in forums. Couto is also human....his marketing is good. Soft light for before surgery and harsh light to showcase the results. Lighting plays a huge factor.
  8. I can buzz cut quite short. To spike my hair need about 3-4 inches. But when its going back out from a buzz cut, its very similar to Farsan’s. Please note buzz cut is from 2nd hair transplant post op 3 years. And the longer hair ones are from today, 3.2 months out from 3rd op
  9. It is true that grafts via fue can be more fragile compared to fut. Yes, strip is possible even after a fue procedure. You have plenty of good doctors for fut ; HnW, Konior, Hattingen, feriduni etc
  10. Farsan, I have already apologised. Man, why you keeping blowing stream at me. You clearly had a lot of diffused hair at the front and it is very highly possible these hairs you have lost now. How old are you? Look at HnW and look how much they are packing tightly into such small areas as Jean already mentioned. Even my hair is not perfect; I have some areas which are diffusing and some areas have more density than others
  11. That looks excellent Jean! Thanks for the photo. I had 300 grafts this time round in the crown and was curious about how how your turned out. I had 700 grafts into the vertex at second surgery. But my crown is a bit diffused than yours. Its not a big area though. Any changes since you been off fin?
  12. Like I said, I was mistaken you had came off it. I apologise. You did not have that much native hair. I have been in the same situation and native hair cannot be easily styled. I believe your hair loss is not stable and the donor has been affected by DHT. Sensitive DHT hairs have been transplanted which have been lost. Asmed is not the only clinic which has unsatisfied patients. All clinics do, even the top doctors.
  13. Jay how did the crown grafts turn out? When did you start noticing the growth? And did you feel any significant changes in the crown after the 18 months?
  14. Farsan, all the photos I have seen the growth looked good and you was heading to a great result. Even the 12 months result looked good (photo attached). Your donor does not look quite thick....thin donor will retain the thin characteristic it has, even transplanted. I find it insulting that now I am a “asmed staff”. I am only saying what I have seen and thats from your own posted images on the internet. You were planning surgery with Dr Lupanzula. You should view KO’s thread (south asian hair like us) who had a failed surgery with Lupanzula, went back for a repair with him and hasn't updated the forum. In every cosmetic surgery there is a small chance it will not be 100% satisfying. That is for all elective surgery. Finally there is no harm being a bit more courteous even though this is the internet.
  15. I know its you bro. Hmmm, then I find it strange why you lost the hair? Your immediate post op photos, your healing etc everything was spot on. I may be mistaken; not sure I read somewhere that you came off fin
  16. You had a good result at 6 months post op. You did not have a lot of pre-existing hair. You was on fin then came off it. Your 6 months photos show you were coming on for an great result. Sadly, another patient not under medication and blaming the clinic.
  17. I have been silently following Dereck’s progress. The sad reality is that he is not using medication. My two cents are that his hair loss has progressed and he is a diffused thinner. Diffused thinners benefit greatly from fin and minoxidil. And it is an shame he does not realise the power of medication. He also needs to understand as men age, hair loss does increase. It is a reality. Dereck I know you talk a lot about Dr Couto ( Couto does not wow me at all and with only 64 videos on youtube, that is pure marketing) and HnW (who do prescribe their patients with meds but do not mention when posting results that the patient is under medication) but these doctors do encourage their patients to use medication. Finally, when hair loss progresses, donor hair also thins out. You do not know what NW pattern you will end up with. I suspect this is what has happened to you. Even DHT exists in the donor.
  18. Sorry, I do not have that information but I am sure something in the region of 0.6mm to 0.85mm
