Senior Member Dr Tejinder Bhatti Posted January 6, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 6, 2013 Friends on Forum, I received so many queries regarding this. Today an old client who had got his beard harvested (600 grafts) in May 2011 walked in for a review. Here is his picture at about 18 months. You can see that not all grafts are harvested- the goatee beard is still possible.

Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now. Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018. Senior Member AB2000 Posted January 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2013 I had hoped to confirm the pricing indicated on the Darling Buds website. It is important to understand how much a procedure will cost before committing to it. The contact method on their website is a "Quick Query" form that you fill out, which includes your email address for them to respond to you. It has been a week now since I have sent a message and I have not heard anything back. I don't understand why this clinic would offer only this method of contact if they will not answer your query. Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted January 20, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 20, 2013 Thats not like Dr Bhatti, he normally replies back within a day or so. Email him again. Regular Member Thomas2012 Posted January 20, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted January 20, 2013 Dr. Bhatti great job. I am really surprised with all the nice results posted, especially with Dr. Umar, that more doctors do not perform these body hair procedures along with donor hair FUE transplants. There seems to be some apprehension I sense with this community and the doctors. Is it a fairly new procedure? Maybe it just takes too much time for the doctors? I just recently had a 3000 FUE procedure done about two weeks ago, which I am quite happy with, but if I would have a second one done in the future I would go the route of body and donor hair FUE if possible. Here is why. With all the research and information I gathered on this network, I was still surprised how evasive the process is and how much down time. Shaving my head added to this because I wanted to minimize any chances of "shock loss". I knew this. For any future candidates plan on taking two weeks off and you are going to look " weird for about a month". Secondly, not so much the aesthetics, but the donor area incision is painful to sleep on for about a week to 10 days after. If I could use a 1000 body hairs in combination with donor hair FUE it would be my choice as long as I knew the body hairs would work. I would appreciate some feedback. Thanks. Regular Member pradeepkr Posted January 26, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted January 26, 2013 Dr. Bhatti, I heard that beard hair become grey sooner than head hair. Will it be same if they are transplanted?
Senior Member Dr Tejinder Bhatti Posted January 26, 2013 Author Senior Member Share Posted January 26, 2013 Yes you are right when you state that beard hair goes gray faster than scalp hair. Once transplanted, unfortunately, it shall retain all its native characteristics and nothing will change except that baldness will be cured! Beard hair is 3 times thicker than scalp hair. If none of the various hair cloning processes don't come along soon, I won't care if my hair is grey on top as long as I have hair. I'll just dye it. Senior Member Raj Jayukdht Posted January 30, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 30, 2013 Dr Bhatti what size punch do you use as I have read a member saying on this forum: "One size does not fit all and the FUE doctors who are serious about the procedure know this and won't use one gauge for the whole procedure regardless of race". formerly know as Jayukdht http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177363-hair-transplant-dr-bhatti-oct-14-part-2-procedure.html
Senior Member Khali Posted January 31, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted January 31, 2013 I would like to see areas of the scalp which consists of just beard hair only. I've seen some amazing results done in Turkey and in California from Dr Umar. However, the pricing is really high.
Regular Member Baldtom Posted January 31, 2013 Regular Member Share Posted January 31, 2013 I have also seen some great results from Dr Umar and am highly considering him.. Are his prices really that much higher than other DRs?
Senior Member Khali Posted February 1, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted February 1, 2013 I think his prices have inflated to $8 a graft. In Turkey you can get BHT for 3 Euros a graft.
