I am looking to get my first transplant by the end of the year after years of research . I have time off at work that I need to use it by the end of the year and have saved money for the procedure . I am really bald as you know from my previous posts . I have traveled multiple states to see mulitiple Drs and have talked to some on the phone. I want to build a relationship with the DR because I will need multiple procedures. I want a DR I can trust that takes pride in their work and wants to take on a case like mine . I can tell you that I will make sure I do my part with diet , after care etc . I am sick of wearing baseball caps and not going to reunions etc because I am so bald. I am ready to take action .

I bought about four bottles of Nizoral 1% last yr when it came back on the shelves . I have searched all the local CVS, Walgreens , Target , Walmart etc.. and Nizoral is gone. I asked a pharmacist and he said you can only get 2% by prescription. I have used 2% in the past and it was too harsh . I really liked to use the Nizoral twice a week and Jason Tea tree the rest of the time. Does anyone know why J&J took Nizoral 1% off the market ? Also does anyone know of another shampoo I can use in it place ?

Thanks for responding . I appreciate your feedback . I really hat wearing baseballs caps and being bald and do not want to get a wig. I have seen guys that are as bald as me in the pics that have had great results so I am not giving up hope. I have visited several Drs and none of them said that I was not a candidate . I am hoping that I can get have a couple of procedures to give me a hair line and frame my face . I could always decide to fill the crown with BH in the future or be happy with some hair

I took Finasteride a couple of year back and noticed that the hair on my back really slowed its growth and thined . I have since stopped and the hair is back again ( wish on my head ) . Does anyone know if you have a BHT will it be possible to take Fin ? Has anyone had any experience with a BHT and taking the meds? Please advise and thanks in advance

Hi I have been to several doctors lol and I am not a Norwood 7 but I am a challenging case to say the least :mad:.. I liked Dr Rahal . He always took my calls and I went to New York City to see him. At the time he said he could do about 3000 grafts in the front but my hair is thin so he did let me know about a potential scar showing thru. He also offered a FUE at about 2500 or so but said he would have to try first if the hairs could be harvested ?? I would have to travel to Canada and get a pass port etc.. Also the money exchange etc.. I did really like him . He is very honest and ethical. I am hoping a DR will reach out to me and really want to take on my difficult case . I want to be a poster guy for all us Extreme Bald guys out there. I will get blood test first to ensure I do not have any Health issues that would prevent me from growing hair, I would be willling to take meds , scalp stretching , body hair etc.. I have also consulted in person with Dr Lindsey, Dr Cooley , Dr Pistone and Dr Gallagher.

Hi can anyone provide some feedback on Dr Lindsey and large sessions? I am a Norwood 5 and am looking to take the pludge in the next 4 or 5 months .. I live in Pa .. I have met Dr Cooley and Dr Rahal and two other local Drs in Pa and NJ .. I am missing my 30th reunion this year becuase I hate being this bald . I have an appt set to drive to VA to see Dr Lindsey ..

Matt, I am also making the trip to see Dr Rahal as well! I am looking forward to meeting him and for us to get a game plan for my Hair Transplant. Holly booked my appt a couple of weeks ago !!

I talked to Dr Rahal the last two days and I can tell you all he impressed me with this approachabilty and candor. I am very bald as you can see from my profile and avitar. I have tried the shaved look for about ten yrs and it got old . I am hoping for about 3000 grafts 1st procedure and about 2500 for the second. I am going to start my scalp exercises tonight. The Dr sent me pics of simliar candidates before and after and I would be very satisfied with the results!! After being bald for so long having hair everwhere except the crown would be fine. Maybe I can grow the hair longer or have enough donor left after two procedures for a Fue for the crown? Thank you all for all your posts !! Still have to plan when i am getting the procedure done.
