Regular Member Gradius Posted September 7, 2012 Regular Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) Hey everyone, I'm a 27 year old Norwood 2 guy who had a 1500 grafts FUE session with Dr Rahal in May. I've just hit the 15 weeks mark and am a bit worried about my progress, I'm looking for some feedback and will be contacting Dr Rahal's office today. I feel like growth is sparse and the left side is especially thin for nearly 4 months, I know a couple of members here have had FUE procedures with Dr Rahal before and I guess I'm looking for support. Any feedback is appreciated but no sugar coating please! Edit: I'm a bit past the 6 month mark and am pleased with how things are progressing, I felt that the thread title didn't represent the situation any longer so I've asked Bill to change it to something more appropriate. I will update with pictures of the final or near final result in a couple months. Thanks for the encouragement and support! Senior Member Mickey85 Posted September 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 Just under 4 months is still early days champ. We can't compare our results to people like Capelli who had insane growth from months 3 to 5. Some people peak way later like months 7-8. Growth even happens up until 12 months. You should be fine The only 2 threads you will ever need: Revamped Advantages/Disadvantages of FUE. Myths dispelled. Educate yourself Everything FUE. Regular Member Gradius Posted September 7, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 I've contacted Dr Rahal's office and got reassurance that all is well for now, just a little freak out on my part I guess. I was fine with the wait until I started getting to the 3 month mark where results were expected to show up. Hopefuly I'll look better in 2-3 months! Thanks for the feedback everyone! Senior Member chrisdav Posted September 7, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 7, 2012 Way too early to be worried. It only starts to happen around 3 to 4 and it's gradual. It's a marathon not a sprint 2 poor unsatisfactory hair transplants performed in the UK. Based on vast research and meeting patients, I travelled to see Dr Feller in New York to get repaired. Regular Member Gradius Posted September 28, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 28, 2012 Hi everyone, 3 weeks later and there has been little to no change... Nothing to do but wait it out but it's getting very difficult to stay positive. I'm hoping everything will turn out ok but I am not in a good place right now, FUE does seem more hit and miss, I'm just praying things will turn around soon! Will post new pics soon. Senior Member RCWest Posted September 29, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted September 29, 2012 First off, you are very lucky to still have a great head of hair! Second, even though a lot of Dr. Rahal's results start early, even 15 weeks is VERY early. I've never seen a bad outcome from his hands, so go enjoy life. Pretty soon you will have a solid hairline that all of us will envy . Regular Member Gradius Posted December 5, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 5, 2012 Hey everyone, Sorry for the lack of updates, things have gotten much better and growh has kicked in. Seems encouraging so far, will update in a couple months. Right now I'm just enjoying it and not thinking about it too much! It feels pretty good to have a good hairline again!!! My surgery was done with a manual punch btw. It looks like I was worried for nothing, sorry if I made anyone hesitant to go with Rahal or FUE in general. Crossing my fingers than everything stays good and gets even better at the 12 month mark. I'll see you guys in a couple months!
Senior Member stinger99 Posted December 5, 2012 Senior Member Share Posted December 5, 2012 hello please note that from my understand rahal does not use a manual punch. he uses a motorized punch and when i safe motorized i do not mean artas. i mean the fue punch tool he uses is motorized. please correct me if someone can confirm that rahal has switched to manual punch. from my understanding only the fue docs in belgium such as bisanga / feriduni and lorenzo in spain use manual punch. there is alot of talk that the motorized punch does not produce as good a yield as manual punch, however i have seen a very reputable doc from turkey go from manual to motorize and still produce good results. Regular Member Gradius Posted December 6, 2012 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 6, 2012 You're right, I'm pretty sure it is a motorized punch. I just meant that it was done by hand, not with the Artas robot. Sorry for any confusion!

Mentalst11
Really nice! Firstly, freaks out, trying to call out the whole world for help. Then, after he gets what he wants, he doesn?t even bother to post pictures or update the thread. Selfishness is what it is!
Senior Member Bobilero Posted May 3, 2013 Senior Member Share Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) I really dont understand the amount of posts i see with people 'worried at 3/4/6 months.' Surely if someone has taken even the most basic of reseach they will be aware the process is only starting then and they must wait till 12 months. Where has this belief come from they should be showing huge yield at this stage. Edited May 3, 2013 by Bobilero
