Very Worried!!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am new here so hi,

I am a 35 yr old male and who has always had a full thick head of coarse irish hair, however these last few weeks I have been shocked to find a bald spot appearing on my scalp where as the rest of my head is still thick and growing.

Is this the start of baldness? wondering if anyone with experience can give some advice on how bad it is and what to do next.

any help much appreciated

Dude, you are freakin' out about that?!? A lot of NW6's and NW7's here will be rolling there eyes at this. Maybe get a miniaturization test done and if there is any get started on propecia.

Crowns are thin looking anyway because they spiral from a centre point.

From my experience i had a area the size of a tennis ball thin at the same time not starting from a small circle like you appear to have which would grow outwards over time to form a big circle. Hope this helps.

Gaelic,

I personally don't see any obvious signs of crown thinning, but you could always consult with a hair loss expert for a professional assessment.

I'd recommend getting a 5 graft FUE surgery to fill in that spot. For a whole $10, you could look 3 weeks younger!

Haha I'm kidding of course. Your hair looks great and doesn't seem like something to be "very worried" about.

Thanks for the advice and comments, even the more humorous ones!

The fact remain that when I look at the photos I still see a balding crown, maybe being paranoid, who knows

I think I will give Nizoral a go and see if that makes things a little better!

Nizoral can cause sheds i wouldn't bother. Nizoral destroyed my hair and it never grew back.

A lot of people swear by nizoral but it definitely induced sheds as it dries the scalp my hair fell out as I washed off the nizoral and never regrew properly again.

I don't recommend anything for you as it's just your spiral in the crown. If you play with meds you may trigger a shed just check every month to see if it changes and start meds once your sure it's thinning for real.

Ok thanks, have you ever tried Castor Oil or Coconut Oil for the dry scalp and even for some regrowth?

Dude, seriously I get that your worried but your crown is fine. Unless you plan on using rogain or fin, which I don't think you need, forget about what you can do for it as nothing else works. Just keep an eye on it and if it gets a little worse, go on Meds. If it will help calm you down, go get a consultation to have your miniaturization checked but really, I think you are fine and this is not MPB.
