  1. Are the ingredients in non-perscription sleep aids ok during the post op period ?(doxylamine or diphenhydramine).
  2. Was a great game . Very competetive till the end . Only fitting that Crosby ended it . Vancouver looked to be a very nice place to be in the video ! (unlike the spring of 1994 )
  3. Im not sure where but I remember reading that Folligen is a bit stronger than Graftcyte and could be diluted with sterile water by 50% to be suitable for post op application . Thais was a few years back and the formula may have changed since then .It cant hurt to check with your doc to get the ok first .
  4. I have used proscar since the late 90's . I swithced over to Avodart for a few years around 2002-2005 . There was no shed during the switch or any big changes to hairloss . I did have more of a reduction in some sides while on Avodart . I use proscar now 1mg 5x per week just to reduce expenses . Hairloss is still progressing but very slowly over the last decade .
  5. TE I think you look much better than before . You picked H&W who are excellent . You need a better hairline but have a lot of coverage from the work . I think Dr. Wong is one of the best docs out there . You will get a better hairline with round 2 . Too bad you will have to shave again but this is good for the clinic and the results . In the end you will be looking great .
  6. The donor and recipient areas look great . Is it possible to conceal the donor area with longer hair for very small cases to go un noticed until grown out ?
  7. Bachstrad if you choose getting your crown plugs excised and sutured you may want to try a test of say 15-20 of them and see hou it heals over a year . The sutured plugs need to have space from eachother due to the tension from the stitching . There was a guy on the hlh site called plug I think . He had a case similar to yours and went to a overseas clinic to have them out .Some were sutured closed some were left open to heal . After healing he looked better and was considering some options to further smooth out the repair . You will still have marks there after the excision but it will be better than it is now . Dont try a tiny fue removal on your plugs they are too large and it will not reduce the circular shape of the skin at the base . I am not a doctor so consult with a doctor and start small . Check out Dr. Vogel . he is one of the original docs who started taking out big plugs . I wish you the best outcome in your repair .
  8. Good luck with the repair . You deserve it man!
  9. Looks great ! Is Dr. Dorins standard closure done with 2 layers ? That is a real nice donor scar . The results in the recipient are great as well .
  10. Looks like it will turn out very nice . What does non paralell scars mean . Is it a overlapping or criss-crossing of multiple scars ? The one week pics dont look too bad .
  11. Big improvement . It seems by doing a linear excision more hairs were able to be salvaged . Punching out the plugs may have transected a lot more hairs . Plus a more natural look than if a bunch of individual scars were left there from coring those big old grafts .
  12. It nice to see your results . I am happy that that mess is now behind you . That is a long repair road you have travelled .
  13. Excellent repair work Dr. Cooley . Very wise not to graft below the frontal plugs . Did these cored grafts require stitching to heal ?
  14. Excellent result . I feel the decision to avoid the lower scar for now was wise . The patient had a need for grafts that was the immediate problem . The donor can be worked on at the patients discression . Again really nice results .
  15. PGP That is a pretty good amount of grafts from SMG or anyone for that size scar . Did you have staples or a double layer closure ? The healing from that is pretty good and with the fue even better . Good info .
  16. My prayers go out for her full recovery . May all of your family stay strong .
  17. I wonder if some docs use staples along with sutures under the skin . It seems like it could be a difficult thing if you had to get a family member to take out the staples without disturbing the sutures beneath the surface . Just a thought , not really sure if it applies .
  18. Keep us posted . Dr.Feller's practice is very refined . His methods include trimming the extracted grafts if they need to be refined before planting . Some other fue practicioners claim they do not do this . How is your donor doing ? What did you refer to about tough healing of your old strip ?
  19. It depends on the individual . The amount of hairs in the grafts is not the only factor . Some repairs involve scarring below the surface in the recipient area . Dont rush into anything and mabey do some in person consults .
  20. It seems that after some real nice results showed up from huge mega sessions there slowly were more clinics producing those type of graft numbers . The refined results speak for themselves . Why did this seem to occur in the past few years ? The top doctors had the same recipient sites and graft placement techniques back then . What are they doing different with the donor nowdays to be able to get double the amount of tissue with the same scars ?

  22. How is the donor area in terms of laxity ? Did you have fue or strip for the 168 grafts ?
  23. I think it is an interesting question . The weight of the persons head has got to put more tension on the area pressed against the pillow . This area night after night may widen .
  24. Dr. Lindsey what could be a cause of a scar stretching in the first 10-15 days ? Can loose sutures combined with some tension allow this ?
