  1. CK31- Oops I know the feeling a little as I have also not been exercising since my surgery and have gained some weight. You should be exercising by now running or cycling or general gym work. If you had strip you should avoid lifting heavy weights for a couple more months but lower weights and more repetition and you will be fine. As for eating healthy yes start this now as sitting in eating a tub of Ben and Jerrys ( i did it too) is going to make you feel like crap. Its easy to get stuck in a rut with the over eating and not going out. Time to make a change now!
  2. I have had 5 (2 with Dr Hasson) or 6 if you include a scar revision which Dr Hasson did also in 2010.
  3. Augustya, You should not use toppick immediately after the transplant, you should wait between 7-10 days for the scalp to heal and be free of scabs. It will effect the healing process of the skin in the early stages and should be washed out every night so your skin gets a chance to breath. Different doctors may have contrasting opinions of course.
  4. Greatjob is right it looks like Keloid to me and is common in patients of African descent. It may well happen again and perhaps a revision would not be the best idea here. I wish you all the best.
  5. If you are thinking of coming along to see Dr Wong and haven't got round to contacting me yet please do so quickly as I have very few spaces left now over the 2 days. Email me on ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com
  6. Hassan, I wish you all the best with the revision, you have a nasty scar indeed, fingers crossed for you for a good outcome.
  7. Hi guys, This event has now been cancelled as Dr Wong will be in London on Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th of November providing free consultations. Contact me to arrange an appointment.
  8. I will be again holding my regular free consultations in Central London on Friday October 4th. The consults will be one on one with myself a ht veteran who has had 5 transplants spanning over 17 years. I will be able to explain our procedure in detail, answer any questions you have regarding surgery, show you what a transplant can look like and take clear photos for a recommendation from either Dr Hasson or Dr Wong. If you would like to meet with me in person or for more information please email me on ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com or call 0757 8164162. David
  9. Hi Shabs, Sorry for the delay I have been on holiday for a few days and missed your post. I am the UK consultant for Hasson & Wong and I provide consultations in London on a regular basis and sometimes in other locations. I am next there tomorrow but the day is fully booked however I will be booking in another consult day very soon. We perform FUT not FUE however if your uncle is interested in a larger session he should certainly look into this option. You can contact me via the website Hair Transplants | Hair Transplant Surgery | Hasson & Wong or message me on here. Farjo do perform FUE in the UK but not BHT as far as I am aware.

  11. Glad to see there appears to be no damage done. Grow well and take care!
  12. Sorry to hear your situation it is never nice to hear that you are not suitable for a transplant but believe me it is much better to be told that than go ahead with surgery and be left out of pocket and scarred. Unless you can achieve a cosmetic improvement that is going to make you happy then surgery should not be carried out in your case if the donor is too thin then there will not be enough grafts to make much of an improvement on top. As Gillenator says you should try shaving your head and see how you get on with that. Before you do please post some photos of the donor area for the members of this community to comment. I am in London again next month if you wished to chat over your options.
  13. Mr Steele, It is the patients choice to use minox or not, as I know redman he was very happy using minox before the surgery and felt it was working well for him which is why I assume he wishes to continue to help keep his native hair. Please remember to discontinue using the minox 2 months before your surgery if you no longer want to use it after surgery then you don't need to, I have never used it.
  14. Due to a high amount of interest I will be holding free consultations in Central Dublin on Friday November 15th. 15. Ok 3 poor surgeries which each time the Dr took a new strip left me with 3 wide donor scars and a lot of wasted grafts. Dr Hasson took 4856 grafts in 2006 taking a new scar and removing part of the old scarring. In 2010 I had a scar revision and 623 single hair were used for my hairline. I really thought after this I would be stripped out and that would be my last surgery. In October I will let you know how many grafts I get. My donor density is above average but my laxity was very poor, scalp exercises have improved it a great deal but compared to a virgin scalp it is still below average of course. Some guys have naturally great laxity and some don't I fall in the latter of these. Are you thinking of going back for more Spanker?
  16. I first realised it when I was 21 and on holiday and a girl that I was into told me I was loosing my hair in front of all my mates. I also burnt my head that holiday for the first time. And that's when my paranoia began basically. Unfortunately I had lost my dad only a year earlier who was a full blown Norwood 6 I am sure if I had him to turn for support I may have never gone down the road of getting 450 mini and micro grafts at the age of 23 and wasting so much of my precious donor.
