  1. Just bumping this up as I have only one space available for the consults next week if interested please contact me.
  2. Just to let you all know I will be meeting with potential patients in central London on Wednesday the 25th of January. Being a former repair patient it will be a good opportunity for anyone to see a hair transplant in person, have a good chat about the procedure with Hasson And Wong and take photos for a recommendation from the doctors. For those interested please email me at ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com
  3. Thank you Joe, I still have a couple of places available for those that are considering.

  5. Bill, Thanks for updating the forum with details and photos, glad you got a good number of grafts second time around. So how was your 2 week stay in Vancouver?
  6. I will be in London, Kings Cross meeting with potential patients on Wednesday the 10th of August, if you wish to meet with me in person to have a informal chat about the procedure at Hasson And Wong and ask any questions about the surgery and my experiences. Alot of guys have found it very useful to meet someone who has been through the procedure 5 times and see my results in person. For those that don't know my situation I am a norwood 6 repair patient, if you wish to know more info email me at ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com
  7. EJ, I too am rooting for you and wish all the best growth, look forward to seeing the updates
  8. Aman, I am a bit suprised that you cannot see any growth when it is plain to see that you have coverage where before you hadn't. I understand how anxious you are and just how 6 months seems like such a long time already but I honestly believe over the next 3 months things are going to improve greatly and we are all really hoping that will happen. Hairthere makes a very good point to compare your situation you need to take some better photos in consistent lighting with no flash, the latest pictures look like they have flash on, your hair also looks shorter which will give you less overall coverage I know Joe has talked about the sweetspot in terms of hair length. From now on when documenting your 7 month photos please take them in natural light during the day in a well lit room and try to take them in the same room same lighting etc and also can you take a few more angles than just the top of your head? This is not a demand I am just trying to help you appreciate the difference that we are seeing and the only way to do that is to take consistent monthly photos Take a look at my 6 month update from my blog taken in the same location and the 12 month update you can see a very nice improvement in density and maturity
  9. To the original comment yes totally agree 12 months can show a nice improvement over 10 months I have just seen it first hand for myself again.
  10. I totally understand what you are going through I have been there and got the t shirt, you are right it is unlike anything else and the first few months are a total rollercoaster of emotions, that is the great thing about forums like these to get support from guys in similar positions who are going through or have been through what you are experiencing now. But it is a long journey so please don't be alarmed, I can honestly say my hairline which I had someone hairline work done nearly a year ago has improved in the last 2 months so for some people it happens quicker than others.
  11. Thanks for your comments guys again very much appreciated. Alix look forward to seeing you this weekend, you will indeed see mine and Jotronics hair in person. Billy- Thanks my friend I look forward to seeing your transformation in person on Saturday BTW Sorry for my rather sombre expression in these photos I can't multi task and smile whilst taking a photo of myself
  12. Just to echo what the other guys are saying that at this stage it is unlikely you are seeing any new hairs popping through so your hairline now will be totally different to what it will look like in another 9 months. It's a tough waiting game but you are over the worst of it now and can look forward to month on month improvements. I believe we will be meeting in London on Sunday, look forward to seeing you then
  13. Thanks for the positive comments guys it's really appreciated Reverse wow where the hell have you been? I hope you are keeping well? Well as you can see from my signature I am a consultant for the clinic now started at the end of 2009, I don't see the Jolly Boys anymore we all moved on with their lives well Malster and Spassky did but it was great fun and support for the 3 of us to meet up and compare results. Thanks for the comment yeah I am feeling good too, I didn't mention in this thread but I had a scar revision which yielded the 600 or so grafts not FUE but yes H&W. Would be good to see some updated pics of how you are getting along you must be 6 maybe 6.5 years now? I remember following your progress carefully when I was researching my own ht. Do you still see any of the guys that attending your summer bbq's?
  14. Here you can find the results 11 months after my small 600 graft hairline refinement that I have talked about in a previous post, it also charts 5 years from my original hair transplant of 4856 grafts with Dr Hasson it clearly shows that despite being a repair patient and a Norwood 6 it IS possible to have a dramatic improvement provided you have the donor, good hair characteristics, realistic expectations and of course a great doctor. Ok the crown is still thin and there are much denser transplants but I was as I said earlier a repair patient my hairline was set 10 years BEFORE going to see Dr Hasson he has done a great job in hiding the old mini and micro grafts and giving me a natural look again. The last five years have been great and the difference to my self confidence has been huge. It also demonstrates to me the benefit of taking propecia as it has held my native hair well over the 5 years and my lower part of my crown still has hair, this was hair that was falling out fast before going on the medication, I have no doubt that it would be slick bald if not for the drug. You can see all my photos at my website which I documented month by month after my surgery. #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; }
  15. Hi Browney, Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have done a bit of research, but research is the key here. I am not going to comment on the other doctors you have mentioned because it would be unfair of me to do so as I work for Hasson And Wong, but do meet with the doctors in question and try to see some patients in the flesh before deciding. Dr Wong will be in London on the 7th and 8th of May and it would be a great opportunity for you to meet him, Jotronic and myself I am sure it will help your decision making process, let me know if I can help arrange this for you.
  16. I have to agree that Spex is a genuine help I meet up with him before I got repaired 5 years ago and despite me going to H&W I found his advice invaluable in my research. Good on you Spex
  17. Thanks for keeping us updated Bill Ukpatient Bill will be meeting up with Dr Wong and myself in London in May and will we get some pics from all angles as he will be one year out from then.
  18. Joe, Felt this needed bumping back up, I don't know Dave but as a fellow repair patient I felt many similarities to his journey and his feelings throughout. I throughly recommend anyone who is considering a hair transplant or who has just had a transplant in the last few months to watch all of the videos. Dave takes you on a journey from start to finish and by the end I was really chuffed for him, his results were great he has a great sense of humour and keeps the videos interesting, and he answers so many questions of how you will be feeling pre and post op well done Dave top marks to you and the wife...oh and the dog.
  19. Great thread btw well I have experimented with Nanogen on my crown and it works very well as long as you don't cake it on, you can run your hands through it as long as they are dry and it won't come off but it will always leave a mark on the pillow. Short of carrying around a dark pillow with you and insisting you can only sleep with that one (and yes she is going to think you are strange) I don't know what you can do if you get lucky, sleep at yours and have dark pillows I guess.
  20. You look to have some improvement in coverage imo and as everyone else says 5 months is just the start of things, big improvements will be on the way.
  21. An update! The confirmed dates for Dr Wong and Joe to visit London are Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of May, I have had a lot of interest in the event but still have a few spaces available. If you are interested in consulting with Dr Wong please email at ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com
  22. Thanks for the update the hair is looking great and bet you are liking all the interest it is creating for you. All the best with the Russian girls and you other procedure there!
  23. Both Dr Hasson and Dr Wong encourage you to count the number of recipient incisions they make by clicking a clicker every time they get to 100, helps you track the number of grafts you have had and helps the doctors keep track too.
  24. Hi Bill, That would be great to meet up with you in May I am the process of sending out invites and was going to invite you along. Thanks for updating your thread with pics and it would be good to see you in person and as you said it will be a year out for you and also I with my small hairline surgery. I will let you know of the details and venue as soon as it is confirmed. All the best
  25. I will be co-ordinating this event and have had a very positive response from guys here in the UK it is a great opportunity to meet Dr Wong in person. Email me if you would like to be on the list ukconsultant@hassonandwong.com
