  1. Dr Shapiro and Nicole could you give me your opinion on the link below. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184511-permenant-smp-scalp-safe.html Thanks!
  2. Its funny how not one clinic or person offering SMP answering any of my questions or statements so I will ask it again. Are you 100% sure that SMP does not cause cancer? If you are do you give the patient a disclaimer that states that SMP does not cause cancer?
  3. I had an 3 patients that stays in Vancouver for 6-8 months. One of them was living with his girlfriend and told her that he was send to Vancouver for work. None of them told anyone including their family members. Another patient in the summer came to Vancouver for a repair and density with his girlfriend. During the consult he asked for his girlfriend not to be in the room. Later he said that she didnt know about his first transplant. I laughed and told him that is what you think. Later she admitted she knew all along because his first transplant was unnatural.
  4. This in my opinion shows a lot about the character of this doctor. He bought Seagar Hair clinic probaly because of the reputation. Dr. Seagar was a great doctor with a great reputation. If not he would have opened his own clinic or changed the name to his name. I am sure he left the name alone so he would profit from the name since it has been around for years. In my views part of this is taking the good with the bad. I dont think if a great result would come for a follow up that wanted another surgery I am sure he wouldn't say "your transplant looks great but it was done by a different doctor, I am different so the result may not be the same" This doctor should honor the good and the bad from this clinic. He should have seen what he could do to make you happy so that the reputation of this clinic is maintained. Now do you think he wanted people to say Seagar clinic used to be great but there is a new doctor and its not the same. I do not buy his excuse and think it will be damaging to him in the future.
  5. I disagree. Basing on the number of grafts he got exactly what is expected. The doctor can only work with what is available. I am sure the doctor would have gotten 5000 grafts if possible. There is a cosmetic difference and the patient is happy.
  6. Shampoo I have been reading a lot of articles that say the same think. Personally I think everyone that offers tattoo permanent or temporary should have a disclaimer stating that tattoo can cause cancer or a disclaimer that says tattoo don't cause cancer. I do not think any clinic will ever say that to any patient. Even if I wanted to get it done and never been through cancer and read someone story like mine I probably would have still had it done. Thinking it could never happen to me. Not one clinic that offers SMP has made a comment on this. I would like to hear their opinions and claims they are 100% sure that the ink doesn't case cancer. Nicole07 what is your opinion?
  7. They are finding more evidence that ink can cause cancer. The doctor didn't confirm which kind but I think there is a study being done at one of the hospital for it, I think it was the mayo clinic. No doctor is going to say tattoo cause or don't cause cancer unless they have prove. After my first bone marrow transplant I wanted to get a tattoo without thinking about how I go it. If I remember correctly the doctor advised against it because of a concern of my medical condition. I didn't understand until my cancer came back.
  8. Thanks LT. I can only share my story. I am not trying to tell people not to do it but think there is a white elephant in the room that nobody wants to discuss. I know the odds of getting cancer from it are probably very low but still in my opinion there is a risk factor. I don't care what the manufacturer or the clinic says because when there is money involved you don't get a unbiased opinion. My doctor have told me there are seeing more cases of cancer with people with tattoos.
  9. Based on the number of grafts he had in a bigger area his result is good. I don't think you could ask for anything more
  10. Looking good, you are exactly where you should be. All those hairs will thicken up quite a bit in the next 3-7 months.
  11. Thanks. I am not saying it caused my cancer but I think its important know my story.
  12. I understand. I can only comment on what I have seen on the internet. I am sure there are many reasons that a doctor limits the number of grafts they harvest. It is ethical for a doctor that is not comfortable or able to offer higher number of grafts not to do so. Whether is experience or staff they don't offer large sessions. If a patient needs 4000 grafts to have a good cosmetic result but the clinic doesn't feel comfortable doing more than 2000 than the patient will have to come back for a second surgery or use a doctor that is able to do 4000. I don't know enough about Dr. Result to comment. You will be surprised. There is an Italian forum that mostly all patients post photos and updates of their progress. You don't have to even ask they all mostly are happy to show their results.
  13. Dr.K was recommended before on this website. I am not saying he is not a good transplant doctor but he would not be in my top 50 doctors I would recommend. I think you have a lot of better choices. Until I see some good and great results my opinion will be the same. I know he is a good ethical doctor and he is cheap so I understand why people consider him. Can you show me a great result from him? A huge transformation?
  14. I think Dr. K is ethical but I don't consider him a great transplant doctor. I have seen no results that say otherwise. Regardless I wouldn't go to Turkey right now https://www.rt.com/usa/364706-istanbul-diplomats-families-leave/
  15. Hrsp thanks for the support. I don't blame anyone that did it but wanted to say this is a possibility. Even if they said there is a 1 in a million chance you get cancer I probably still would have done it.
  16. I just wanted to give me experience with SMP which I think can either be coincidence or a fact. I first got SMP in 2012 and was happy with it. Within 3 months I was diagnosed with cancer. I had another session on my back and side during chemo when my hair wasn't there. Didn't even consider they could be related. 1.5 years ago I decided to get a touch up on the front. 3 months later my cancer came back this time also in my brain. Both times it was blood cancer which as I said I am not sure if they are related. During my second chemo I noticed that after 4 years my side and back had not faded at all. I will never know for sure if my SMP caused my cancer and because of it had to have two bone marrow transplants. I would never consider or recommend SMP to anyone. I have talked to many doctors that treated me concerning this and they said they can never prove it but they are seeing more cases of blood cancer with people with tattoos. I challenge anyone that offers SMP to give 100% facts that SMP doesn't have a risk of cancer. I just wanted to share my experience and let people know this can be a possibility. I am convinced that SMP caused my cancer (maybe I'm wrong). Not worth the risk in my opinion. Tattoos can cause cancer Nanoparticles in Tattoo Ink May Cause Cancer Could your tattoo give you cancer? 17. Thank you for sharing your story and I am sorry you aren't satisfied with your result. Looking at you results I understand. I would never consider DHI DHI Global Medical Group , they are all marketing and I have never seen a high quality result with them. I have met quite of few unsatisfied patient from Italy that went their and were in need of repair. I just wanted to give you my opinion. Good luck!
  18. I would put that 1100 grafts directly behind the hairline in the first 25-35% of the crown.
  19. I don't think 1100 grafts is adequate to make a huge cosmetic difference. You will see a difference but you maybe the only one that notices. I think you need at least 2000 in that area.
  20. You are exactly where you should be. 3-7 months the hair should all come in thin and 7-12 months to thicken up. So far look good, stay patient and enjoy.
  21. I would be scared if I was you as well. Hair transplant is a big decision and a bad transplant can ruin your life. You need to be 100% positive of your decision. Good luck
  22. I agree with this. I have seen a few other issues with this doctor that I believe has to do with communication. I don't think its issues with growth but with communication. If this patient had surgery thinking he was going to get a huge cosmetic result with 3800 grafts in that big space he was not well informed. Clinics need to makes sure the patients has an understanding what kind of outcome to expect.
  23. A good friend of mine is a bodybuilder (top 5 Canada), you can see him on Frank Red Hot Sauce commercial with his fake Arnold accent. He had a great result and a thin scar but wanted to be able to change his hairstyle. He received around 600 FUE in the scar 6 months ago and even with a mostly shaved head it is hard to see the scar even though its early still.
  24. I had an Italian guy last year that had PRP and without results. It cost him about 1000 euros. I told him as a joke I would pray for his hair growth and if it works he has to pay me 50 euros. I talked to him last week and it was a tie between me praying and PRP, so I didn't get paid.
