  1. I got my FUT HT from them in 2020. This was before I found this forum and didn’t really know what I was doing. Overall I’m happy with my results, but there’s a few issues with my results (low density in crown, chunky grafts in crown, a few multis in hairline, etc.) that wouldn’t have happened if I went to one of the recommended doctors on this site. If I could do it all over again I’d have picked a doctor from this site. You’ll spend a little more but it’s well worth it. You can check out my thread if you want to see specifics of my HT.
  2. They have a couple before/after results that are decent, but most of them are just terrible. I would avoid this place.
  3. Thank you. It all comes down to the individual and their results. If I didn’t have SMP, my crown would probably look a bit too bare to rock long hair. And I do have to put hairspray on my crown to keep the hair from parting too much and showing some scalp.
  4. What clinic did you go to? I’m worried it was a hair mill, likely one in Turkey.
  5. Jude Law has substantially more hair loss upfront than Affleck has on its crown. If you want to use Law as a comparison then you’d have to find someone who has a completely bald crown to compare him to. And I’d rather have Law’s hair over a bald crown any day.
  6. This. So much this. I felt like I was the only one on this forum who felt crown loss was much worse than a receding hairline. Nobody considers a man with a receding hairline bald, but everyone who sees a man with a bald crown would consider that man bald or balding, regardless of what the front of his hair looked like. Bald spots make people bald, not recession.
  7. You’re probably thinking of trichopigmentation which in theory completes fades away in 2/3 years. I say in theory because I’ve heard horror stories with trichopigmentation. With regular SMP on a shaved head, I often see people on Reddit posting their results 5 years later. Some practitioners post long term results of their patients too. Density SMP will last even longer due to the hair protecting it from the sun. I’ve had mine for 1.5 years and it looks exactly the same as the day I got it. I likely won’t ever need a touch up assuming I don’t lose more hair.
  8. For a density treatment you’d likely never need a touch up, or if you did, it would be maybe every 7-10 years at most. shaved head SMP requires touchups more often simply because most people don’t take protective measures with sunscreen and there’s no native hair to protect it.
  9. @EnhancedScalp I owe you a huge, huge apology. When I made those comments I was going through a very dark time in my life. I suffer from borderline personality disorder and depression, but I wasn’t on any medication at the time. I’m on meds now and in a much better place. My sincerest apologies as you didn’t deserve it and I was just projecting my own insecurities. Your work is absolutely phenomenal and I’ve actually recommended you to several people looking for shaved head SMP.
  10. Thanks! The clinic provided the number of hairs transplanted and I posted that number somewhere in this thread. Edit: here’s the count:
  11. The results at the first link good but the second link has terrible results. I had an HT that gave me decent density but not enough, so I got SMP afterwards and now I have a complete illusion of density. Check out my thread in this section or my HT thread.
  12. Here’s some updated candid photos from the past week showing my hair in harsh lighting. I’m right at the 2 year mark now.
  13. The crown is thick enough to hide all the scalp when my hair is styled, but it really isn’t thick enough to just go without styling. I normally wear my back back in a pony tail. I just comb it back, tie it in a ponytail tail, then spray a tiny bit of hair spray on the crown to hold it in place. If I wear it down, I just quickly comb it and spray a tiny bit of hairspray on the crown. When my hair was shorter, I was able to go without styling, or just quickly ran my hands through it. Longer hair tends to clump and separate more, revealing scalp. I went to a place called PAI Medical Group in Indiana, which is a chain. I picked it before I found this site. I’m happy with the results, but some things could have been better. If I could do it all over again I’d choose a doctor that this site recommends.
  14. I don’t plan on getting another HT unless I lose my hair. If that happens, I’d probably get my hairline lowered a bit and do my temple points, in addition to the area that has new loss.
  15. Thank you! I’ve been following your thread and am so excited for your new hair!
  16. Oh LOL! Sorry, not a sports fan so I didn’t make the connection immediately.
  17. You’re welcome. Basically it was done on the male pattern baldness was area. It starts about a half inch or an inch behind my hairline (I asked for it that’s at so there wouldn’t be dots on my hairline) and covers my entire frontal third, mid scalp, and crown. The area below and to the sides of the male pattern baldness area were not done. If I ever wanted the shaved head SMP loop, I’d likely need a session or two to blend my existing SMP into my shaved hair. But I don’t plan on ever shaving my head.
  18. Thanks! Unfortunately I don’t know of any good places in the UK. Maybe search in the SMP section of this forum and if you don’t find anything there, start a new post. I’m sure someone can provide a recommendation. Just be sure to do tons of research, there are a lot of bad places out there just like bad hair mills. I stopped topical dutasteride because I didn’t see any positive change. I had no side effects from that, nor from the oral finasteride I take.
