  1. I put a few dribbles of salt into my water and that's what I'm using.
  2. Has anyone ever bumped the head post-op and not damaged any grafts? How hard does contact need to be to damage grafts?
  3. I was thinking it would be good to go back to work next week but maybe its best if I don't. Damn rain now is a danger element to me 😭 The snow I got caught in after my transplant was for about 30 seconds leaving the clinic and getting into the taxi, and maybe 40 seconds getting out of the taxi and into the hotel. It was light fleeting snow yet snowing nevertheless. A few flakes probably definitely landed on my head, its hard to guess how many flakes of snow might have touched my head though.
  4. Very difficult situation! Under those circunstances I'd try to stay home as much as possible.
  5. I can't wear a cap because I got the temporal peaks done and it might dislodge the grafts there.
  6. Jesus man. That is so scary! You really do need to be so careful with these transplants. I might be best just remaining indoors altogether for the next two weeks. That sucks so much about the snow. It scares me.
  7. Cheers man. I will do that and report back. I'm on finasteride and thankfully when the doctor examined the island and the crown he said it was in very good condition, very dense and he does not believe there's much risk of it thinning out any time soon.
  8. Oh my God. I was probably in light snow for maybe 1 minute 😭 This frightens me! Maybe I should avoid daylight for these next few weeks.
  9. Cool. Interesting. I've never seen instructions like that before. Its weird the way everyone's instructions are different isn't it 🙈
  10. Thanks man. Naturally I just want to be super safe so I get good growth. I already had two little bumps to the head and it drove me mad. I'll use the cup and gentle touching method up until day 10 bro.
  11. I just read your post there man. Interesting. Cheers. I'll probably not touch the grafts for another two days so, I'll just let the shampoo-water dribble off it and I'll let it dry itself instead of touching it with a towel. That's cool about day 10. Do you reckon once day 10 is over the rest is faith? No matter what you do beyond day 10 won't effect the new growth?
  12. Cool man. I am going to do my first mild shampooing tonight. I'll do it with a cup and water. I think I'll let it run off my head rather than rubbing it into the recipient area, and likewise I'll let it dry naturally in the air instead of patting it with a towel. I'll scrub the donor area properly though.
  13. They have email and they're good at replying so maybe I'll email him I seem to be doing ok with healing and staying clean at this stage. My main point of interest with the spraying is how important it is for growth. Some say its of utmost importance for keeping the grafts hydrated because if they're not kept hydrated they die.
  14. Cool. Thanks. In that case I'll start gently shampooing tonight. I'll do it with extreme caution.
  15. Ok man thanks very much for that. I'll do my first round of shampooing today. I don't have many big scabs up there yet. I'm also super paranoid about touching the grafts or applying too much pressure to them so I'm a bit scared of washing this early, but it has been reccomended so I'll do it. I don't think I'll massage shampoo into the recipient area. Do you gently massage the recipient area?
  16. I was given a saline solution but it ran out so I refilled but I may not have put enough salt into my refill. Is the salt really mostly just for infection?
  17. Cool man. You really think its not neccesary? Its a wonder why some surgeons stress the importance of it. HRBR reccomend generous spraying and they say its super important to keep the grafts hydrated. What is the deal with salty water, why don't they reccomend regular water? I'm asking because I'm paranoid I haven't put enough salt in my refill 😂
  18. I had my transplant 2 days ago and I still haven't shampood yet. How important is to start shampooing at the soonest juncture post-op. In my doctors instructions it says to start shampooing the day after surgery but many sources here say they didn't start shampooing until day 3 or 4, and I'm paranoid about touching the grafts, so I'm thinking of waiting another day before I shampoo.
  19. It would still be so annoying 😭 I'd so rather not have to get it done. Is there any way of telling if you've damaged grafts? Some people here say if you bleed after a bump that means you damaged a graft. Will you always draw blood after damaging a graft?
  20. Oh my God 😯 I will pray for him 🙏🏻 When the hair grew could you notice that a handful of grafts died? Yesterday (1 day after my transplant) I bumped the spray bottle off my head when I was spraying myself without the assistance of a mirror, later then I bumped my head again on the plane when I bent forward to pick up a book. The bumps were not extremely hard and the was no bleeding but it has totally worried me 😭 On another note I concur with what you said about Captain Haddock. The work looks really clean. Eugenix seem to do some pretty good work.
  21. Haha I have thanks. I've been spraying too but not sure if I'm spraying enouh. I think I'll start spraying more.
  22. Does anyone else get paranoid about the spraying? I've been spraying but I'm thinking now I haven't sprayed generously enough, or maybe I have. How important is to totally soak every inch of the recipient area every few hours in the days following the transplant.
  23. Cool! A repair job would be such an inconvenience though 😭
  24. I see. Cool man. I wish you well and I hope it works out swimmingly for you.
