  1. Absolutely! The bottom line is how satisfied I will be with the result. That's my main concern. I hope it all just comes out well, I hope it all falls in a pleasing and natural format and I hope its of good texture and density.
  2. I believe Dr Konstantinos Anastasakis in Greece also does the FUE extractions himself and I believe he is a highly ethical, honest, compassionate surgeon.
  3. Dr Saifi in Poland does the FUE extractions himself, although I think one of his assistants helps while he's doing it.
  4. I'm interested in seeing how this devlops. I was going to get a hairline transplant with Dr Bicer but I turned away when she said I would need 3,000+ grafts now and another transplant in 9 - 12 months. No other doctor said that to me. Otherwise I trusted in every other aspect of her approach, but I couldn't get my head around the extremely high graft quote. In the end I got 2,040 grafts transplanted with Dr Saifi in Poland. Hopefully it will yield a satisfying result. The design of your hairline is good because it looks natural and it suits the shape of your head. I think Dr Bicer has tailor made the hairline to fit your head and that is a good thing because one size does not fit all when it comes to hairlines. Good luck with your recovery and development. I hope you get an amazing result bro
  5. This is not my thread man! I had a FUE transplant with Dr Saifi in Poland two weeks ago and I've just commented here because I had a good deal of crusting myself, I didn't really rinse it off until the 2 week mark, that's why I'm wondering is there a link between crusting and poor growth. As far as I know scabs and crusting are quite normal.
  6. Scrubs? You mean scabs? They are all gone now, but as you have noted it was very crusty and scabby up there at day 14. That might be because I didn't start massaging shampoo into the recipient are until about 2 weeks had passed. I was too paranoid to touch the recipient area. I've been more aggressive with the shampoo lately though and I've also since gently picked the crusted areas. Consequently now at 18 days there's no crusting or scabbing left. If you haven't gotten rid of the scabs by day 14 can it affect the final outcome? I am 30 years old.
  7. Pictures taken in theatre on the day of surgery. I liked the idea of angling the grafts straight so that they grow straight down my forehead, this would make it easy to wear a very natural straight fringe. However I believe the grafts were angled so that they well grow out a little to the left, because, my native hair seems to be growing that way because I have been forcefully combing it over to the left for 10 years to cover the receding corners. One of my worries is that the hairs will be pointing in an odd looking angle if/when they grow, or they'll just point out upwards and agressively sideways or something like that. I'd be grateful if somebody could look at the pictures and let me know if the grafts are angled in a way that won't look mad or too strong.
  8. I don't really understand the nature of good ratios. I'm not sure if the singles were natural, I can ask him next month though when I email him in the new year.
  9. Why would crusting affect the result? I thought crusting/scabbing was normal? I had crusting and scabbing and I didn't start aggressively washing it off until around 2 weeks post-op.
  10. This seriously worries me and confuses me. The research that I did, even on here, suggested that psoriasis and/or sebhorric dermatitis should not disqualify you from having a hair transplant so long as you are not experiencing highly aggressive symptoms on the day of surgery. I have psoriasis and sometimes sebhorric dermatits and I underwent surgery two weeks ago, although my recipient areas were not experiencing aggressive symptoms at the time. My doctor knew about this on the day of surgery and he knew I have such skin issues weeks before I went for surgery. HRBR in Dublin also know about my skin conditions, they have observed my hair loss for 10 years and they were very happy to operate on me too. My native hair is dense and since starting finasteride it does not appear to be falling out at all so I find it hard to understand how such skin conditions can cause such aggressive hairloss or cause a HT to be rejected. Also it appears to me as if this patient has actually retained a lot of his transplanted hair, it appears as if his native hair has fallen out more abundantly in these last 6 years.
  11. FOR THE RECORD THIS PROCEDURE WAS CARRIED OUT ON 10/12/20 AT AM-MED, WROCLAW, POLAND, BY DR SAIFI AND HIS TEAM. THERE WAS 2,040 GRAFTS TRANSPLANTED VIA FUE. 425 SINGLES, 920 DOUBLES, 695 TREBLES & QUADS (MORE 3'S THAN 4'S).
  12. **posted 24/12/20 Ok guys I'm now 14 days out of surgery. Is everything looking normal? I might start scrubbing/shampooing the recipient area more aggressively to get the scruffy appearance cleaned. As you can see its still a bit crusty there. There doesn't seem an awful lot of growth or activity in the recipient areas other than that its been healing up. The donor is free from scabs, there's no pain in it and I think its probably healed properly. The mid-scalp and recipient area has been a bit numb since surgery, its still not come back to life but I think the numbness is starting to fade a little bit and I believe this is normal. Feedback would be apprecieated. Cheers. Also last night when grooming a tiny bit of a scab came off at the hairline and a hair came with it. I assume this is normal at this stage? Quote
  13. **posted 17/12/20 Hi guys, can anyone tell me if everything is looking normal at this juncture. I am now exactly 1 week out of Dr Saifi's operating chair following 2,040 FUE follicles. The donor area looks to be healing ok but there is still little flecks of scabbing in it and a very mild bruising sensation that is fading away. I stopped spraying yesterday after 5 days of very regular spraying. I wash/shampoo daily with mild shampoo by pouring 4 or 5 cups of shampoo over my head and letting it dry naturally. I'm finding it hard to see much growth activity in the recipient areas, perhaps because my hair is blonde, very very short and mixed with scabs right now? As for the scabbing in the recipient area there are cracks between scabby areas. I assume this is normal? There is some mild bruising arond the temporal points which doesn't worry me. I have not worn any hats, I've mostly stayed indoors in my room. I'll continue to take it easy for another week at least. I hope everything is going as it should be but I have a few little worries. I had two small bumps coming home last week. I hope this didn't ruin anything. Also I have accidently touched a small part of the grafted area - the back left part - once or twice by putting my hand on my head. I also patted a bit of my head on day 4/5 after waking up. I might have touched one of the temporal areas too at one stage. I've been trying my best to sleep on my back so I'm hoping I haven't rolled my head into the pillow too hard. Does everything seem ok or could I be missing grafts? Would grafts have fallen out in the shower when I'm pouring water over my head, or could any have rubbed out onto my pillow if I was rolling around at night? Quote
  14. **originally posted 11/12/20 Hi guys, Its well over 24 hours since I finished my transplant now. The head here is wet because I literally just sprayed it. Is everything looking normal? I put the spray bottle too close to my head earlier and incidentally bumped it off my head 😭 I also bent over to pick up a book on the airplane today and incidentally made contact with the seat in front of me, again giving the head a little bump. I was told that I might get away lucky without damage following those bumps because no blood was drawn. I didn't spray the head for a whole 3 hours on one of the flights home but apart from that I've sprayed it an average of once every hour all day today. Its looking very red in general, red like a raw steak. There's not a lot of thick scabs, mostly blotches of dry blood. Does everything seem to be alright at this point? Have I sprayed enough? Will those two bumps ruin any grafts? 😭 Scary times guys! Scary! 1 Quote
  15. I'm not sure if I can get Indian generics but I'll find it if I can. Actually as far as I know it is quite common for people to take 1.25 mg per day via cutting 5mgs into quarters. I think the dose for prostate cancer is 5mg per day.
  16. Shit. The only reason I take 1.25 and not 1 is because I get 5mg tablets and cut them up into quarters, its cheaper that way. Propecia 1mg is very expensive here in Ireland.
  17. Cool video. It would be nice to use just 3mg per week if it is effective and long-lasting 🤔 I started using finasteride 5 months ago and I use 1.25mg per day. I would recude that dose if it doesn't have a bad effect on my results.
  18. Yeah, crazy! My shedding seems to have slowed down or stopped now too. Weird!
  19. Cool. Interesting stuff man. Perhaps I did start shedding in the first week. The worry is that this could be a sign of bad results but if it is perfectly normal then that's fine. Cheers.
  20. Really. Wow, intersting. In another 1 - 2 weeks I'll start using Regaine. Hopefully that will help matters too
  21. I'm referrring to the transnplanted hair. In the picture I've just attached you can so quite a lot of hairs (or empty slits?) during the procedure. In almost any other picture I've taken there is not as many hairs visible. This may be due to the quality of pictures amongst other things like shedding, scabs, crusting, viewpoint etc etc. It just makes me a bit paranoid but perhaps I'm just getting paranoid over nothing. It makes me wonder too did I start shedding early? The first few days after surgery I couldn't see any grafts at all when I looked in the mirror, it was just raw redness. I can see grafts showing in pictures that I took like 5 days and 7 days post-op but the little dots I see are not as numerous as those that can be seen on pictures from the operating table. I don't think I'm experiencing shock loss. I've definitely shed a lot more on the right side though.
  22. Interesting observations Dr Barghouthi. Do you notice finasteride losing strength after a couple of years? Also does it generally stop working in patients over 40. I've been using 1.25mg daily for 4 months now and I think its been working as its meant to, but if I could get the same bang with a lower dose that would be nice. One thing that worries me a bit though is the idea of it losing power within 2 - 3 years. It would be awesome if it kept working for a lot longer. I'm 30 by the way.
  23. Cool man, cheers. I know that shedding is normal especially around this juncture but the right seems to have shed a lot more, its not all shedding at the same time, is this fully normal? As for the flat hair, my native hair is actually very flat although very dense whereas my transplanted hair is spiking out, and it doesn't feel the same as the native hair. It looks spiky yet somewhat fragile and it feels soft. Upon examining the pics taken during the operation it looks as if I had quite a lot of hair transplanted yet now it looks very sparse, and looking closely at pics just 7 days out of surgery you don't see as many hairs as you do on surgery day, I wonder would this mean did I start shedding a few hairs within the first 7 days? The most obvious shedding has occured while easing the scabs off over the last few days, quite a lot tends to fall out with the scabs.
  24. That's just the light actually John. When you see it under different lights its very very very obvious - the pinkness. I'm very perceptibly pink all over the transplanted area. I'll upload a pic tomorrow to show you.
  25. You have a full head of hair - no shedding! I'm worrying because I appear to have shed a good bit of hair, especially on my right side. Your hair is growing nicely too. Waiting for it all to grow back is so bad isn't it 😂😢 It is just so short all over!
