  1. Cool man thanks. I'm a bit worried about the left side because it looks and feels a bit flat and when you look closely its quite sparse, although yeah the right side is becoming somewhat pleasing, so if the right side gets much better at least that will be satisfying. In real life under certain lights you can defo see a pink shade all over the recipient area, particularly on the hairline. I'll look yours up now 😛 I'm wishing you well and cheering you on here bro.
  2. Lastly actually, the skin is still a bit pink in the transplanted areas.
  3. 5 month update: There seems to have been progress in the last month however the left side still seems very flat as you can see. Overall the results are making a somewhat cosmetic improvement depending on which way the hair is styled. The right side is becoming pleading at this stage but its still a bit thin and a bit gappy on the hairline. The left side is worrying me a bit. I'm hoping there will be much more popping and growing, especially on the left side. As for the sides I'm not sure what to make of them, they seem to be coming along alright but my sides/temporal weren't totally obliterated before surgery so whatever. On a sidenote I think I'm feeling good benefits from using Regained and finasteride, I have no real hair loss at all any more and I'd say maybe even some hair has thickened up a bit. Hopefully things will blossom much more from here.
  4. Ah I see. Scary and worrying bro isn't it 😢 All we have now is faith.
  5. Thanks. Captain Haddock its assuring to know you are experiencing the same thing. Dr Verma I know that it takes 12 - 18 months for the final verdict, but a lot of people seem to see a lot of activity blossom between month 4 - month 7. I'm just hoping a lot more will pop, especially on my left side.
  6. Hi guys, its surprisingly hard to get well-positioned highly detailed selfies that captivate every minute detail of the hair transplant. Anyway, here are two pics that I've taken today. The right side is the one that looks better in the pics, the left side is the one that looks a lot more sparse. When the hair is styled a certain way and under certain lights there is definitely a somewhat pleasing cosmetic difference, but in reality when the transplant is scrutinized it is not dense or stunning, its in fact still somewhat bare and "infantile." I'm hopping that there will be way more popping to come, I'll be a bit disappointed if not much grows. I'm now just less than 5 months out from surgery. **apologies for not replying here sooner.
  7. I'm less than 5 months out of surgery. I know its relatively early but I've seen some people show huge development in the early stages. My status so far is that new hairs are definitely developing and making a cosmetic difference, but only a sparse few hairs of the 2,040 that I had transplanted. There's huge gaps in the hairline and things are not dense at all. I am wondering when will all the hairs pop? Or am I showing early signs of poor growth?
  8. John I'm perfectly fine thanks. I hope you are well too. My progress here seems slow but I think its still moving along. I'll upload more pics in another 9 days when I hit the 5 month mark.
  9. Great work doctor. Very natural and rich looking. You ought to be proud of such an achievement, congrats!
  10. Cool! Glad to hear you're doing ok on it. What difference does it make if you take it at night though?
  11. Interesting. What's the difference between taking fin in the morning as opposed to night time? Also what difference does it make if you lift weights? Ross.
  12. Cool. That's interesting man. Yeah I thought the shampoos were unfairly priced. Hopefully I don't get the same sides, I'm a bit scared of it. He gave me 40 grafts for free as well. Delighted to hear you're doing well and still happy with the transplants bro.
  13. Hey man, just dropping in to ask what kind of fin sides did you get and also now that your 4 years out are you still using the CR Labs, Havogen patch and laser band? I'm just curious because I'm 9 months and fin now and thankfully no sides yet but the thought of sides scares me. Also I had a transplant with Saifi 4 months ago and he tried to sell me all the CR Labs stuff too but I was skeptical of it because of the high prices and sparsity of online material supporting it. Anyway you look good man and I hope your keeping well. Best regards bro.
  14. Fingers crossed John. I'm nearly sure I've seen guys show strong signs of new life at 3-4 months, but yeah I guess you're right, its still fairly early in the process. I'll try bear some extra patience. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for your input guys. Its reassuring to hear that it seems to be on track. I was getting a bit worried that I might be slowing early signs of limited growth, but if you guys say its looking well for this stage I'll take your word for it and forget about it again until next month.
  16. 4 month update: New hairs have definitely become quite perceptible over the past few weeks. Depending on what angle you see them from they can look quite obvious or not so obvious. Generally though at this stage I would go as far as saying there has been a small cosmetic improvement. However there is still a pink tint in the transplanted areas, I am wondering when this will fade? Although the pink hue is often not very obvious (depending on what light I am in). The pictures don't capture the fine details very well here so I must apologize for that! If you look closely and feel the hairs a lot of them are quite thin. I am hoping many of the new hairs are still behind the scalp because there's not actually a huge number of new hairs in bloom. I guess this is when the magic should really start happening so hopefully there's an awesome transformation from this point on. My hair is purposely not styled in this pic, and purposely brushed forward. I'm looking forward to the barbers opening again so I can get some cool styles.
  17. I think he's been at it since 1995 so yeah he has the years under his belt. Although I think HRBR has been there since 03/04, so by now they have a lot of experience too. The 9 month waiting list is interesting. I'd like to know what his waiting list is normally like. I was able to get a date within a month but that's probably because Covid-19 has effected appointments. Can you link me your story or some pics, either here or via PM please? Its great to know you've been delighted with your result, it gives me hope. I asked about the prospect of a second procedure. He said I shouldn't need one any time soon because there was not much thinning in my native hair (at least not yet anyway). Also I had started finasteride a few months prior to surgery, and now I have added Regaine to the mix, so I'm hoping my hair will stay strong for another few years. He did say I might need another hair transplant some time in the future as most patients need at least 2, but he said I probably won't need to consider that in the immediate future. I was aware of the protocol concerning 2+ transplants anyway, but like yourself I'm hoping it won't be neccesary until I'm 45+ or thereabouts. I'll be 31 this year.
  18. Cool. I'll check out your profile for pictures. Its starting to kind of kick in now. HRBR is expensive but actually if you adjust Saifi's prices to the cost of living in Poland you'll find his prices are high too. To save €5,000 in Poland takes the same amount of time as saving €16,000 in Ireland, based on wages and the cost of living.
  19. Hopefully it all goes well. Fingers crossed. Thanks.
  20. Hi Ian, I'm not too bad, thanks. A few hairs have been growing for a while now, they are mostly thin but I believe they will thicken up. There's definitely more hair on my hairline now compare to pre-op, but broadly speaking there still has not been much activity, nothing to get too excited about (yet) anyway. There are a few hairs growing out at silly angles but they are mostly not noticeable. I'm still less than 4 months out of surgey. I'm expecting a rush of activity to start flowing very soon. I'm a bit worried that some of the new hairs might grow at faulty angles but I'm trying not to worry too much about that for now. I'll update my thread with pictures here next week when I hit the 4 month mark.
  21. Cool man. I'm good thanks. I got FUE 2,040 grafts. Mine was always straight when I was young but I've pressed it to the side for like 10 years now to cover up baldness. I'm just hoping the angles/directions don't come out mad looking. Yours looks good anyway, it looks like it grows a bit to one side. Thanks for your advice I will try not to focus too much attention on it over the next few months.
  22. Delighted to see you got a good result that you're really pleased with. Congratulations my friend. I'm a Dr Saifi patient myself. I had a procedure done almost 3.5 months ago so now I'm just waiting for the magic to happen. He angled/directed my grafts to grow to the left because I had pressed such a hard pattern into my hair through years of combovers. I'm worried and excited for my result. I just had the hairline done. I've noticed by your pics you seem to push your hair to the left a bit too. Did Saifi indicate to you that he'd be angling/pointing your grafts in a particular style too?
