  1. Exaclty 👏 The thing is there isn't enough research available to learn about these products he's reccomending, and no other doctors seem to be reccomending them.
  2. Its Saifi in Poland. Now he's not really pushing them down my throat but there's defo a strong drive to sell them. The problem is they're just way too expensive. How come Whey is not reccomended? I am on fin and I'll probably statt Regaine soon too.
  3. Yeah defo suspish! It would be so much of a red herring if the stuff wasn't so darn expensive 😝
  4. It is dissapointing because its actually affecting my evaluation of him. Its like when a popular pop star does something lewd which tarnishes their reputation. You wish they didn't do it. He's not aggressively pushing the products I need to be clear about that, but he definitely has a vetted interest in highly reccomending these products while excluding a range of other more options. Its not cool in my opinion. In fact I think in the long run it could come back to affect his reputation. Out of curiosity do a lot of trusted HT surgeons try to sell aload of gimmicks? My friend I am on day 12 rolling into day 13 now (03:07 in Ireland lol). Tomorrow I plan on going for a light jog, 5km or thereabouts. Next week I'll return to the gym and I'll spend a month going twice weekly with no supplements, then I'll spend about 6 weeks going 3 times weekly with supplements. Then I'll give up on the gym and return to my natural habitat in the pub. I'm sleeping, eating and relaxing generously since my procedure.
  5. Hahahah very good! I remember them books when I was a kid, wow, memories. I literally laughed out loud. Thanks for the giggle lol!
  6. So after having a transplant less than two weeks ago I'll probably stay out of the gym until week 3 or thereabouts. When I go back to the gym I'll ease into, and I'll probably stay off supplements until 2 months have passed. Anyway, I asked my HT surgeon about supplements and the only protein shake he reccomends is this stuff called the Help Hair shake by Lawrence Shapiro. Surprise surpirse its more expensive than your average shake. Its sold by CR Labs, on their website. This brings me to another point. The same doctor is quite adament on reccomending CR Labs shampoo for scalp and hair health, but surprise surprise the CR Labs shampoos are insanely expensive, I mean, possibly the most expensive shampoo in the world. He also reccomends this patch called the Havogen 5 patch. It all seems like a bit of an unethical audacious money-grabbing scam to me, but maybe I'm wrong. If it is a scam as I suspect it is then it dissapoints me and disheartens me because somebody that's meant to be a good doctor shouldn't get involved in such a thing.
  7. I was awkwardly washing my body in a hot shower and then when I cooled the water down to fill a jug up with water some hot water went in with the cold water and the result was that I ended up washing my head in water that was kind of hot.
  8. Cool. Its always best to be safe though The water was kind of hot lol but not super hot.
  9. Thanks guys. Great advice. Can anyone tell me what effect would it have if you splashed hot water over the head during the healing process. I washed with water that was a bit warmer than usual on like day 6. I did it by accident. It was hot but not scorching. Was this risky?
  10. Ok guys cheers! I'll follow these steps. I did actually go looking for shower videos and didn't find much 🙈
  11. Guys I'm 11 days out of surgery and I'm thinking of having my first normal shower either tonight or within the next 2 days. With regards to washing - standing under a hot shower - and forcefully rubbing shampoo into and out of my scalp will I be ok? It would be great if there were any videos I could watch that provide demonstrations.
  12. Haha indeed you are right John! Unbald Eagle I am trying but I'm not sure if I'd be everyone's favourite seen as I did bump my head twice post-op 😭
  13. Cool. I can go back on fish now. I'm still off drink and no I have not had any cheeky cigarettes. I'll probably stay on best behaviour for a couple of months
  14. On Dr Saifi's pre-op instructions he says no bromide, aspirin or fish for 10 days before a transplant. Is bromide salt?
  15. Cool. I was wondeding why a lot of the grafts don't seem to be growing. Perhaps this explains it. Cheers man.
  16. Cool, you've been washing like this the last 2 days and your only on day 8? I've been just rolling cups of water mixed with shampoo over my head, haven't been touching my head not even to dry it. I'll probably start doing what you're doing over the next few days. It will probably look a lot cleaner when the scabs start washing off. Sorry I was meant to say 1 month not 8 months 😂
  17. I would love to just take a pill and fall asleep for 6 - 8 months then wake up like Teen Wolf 🤷🏻‍♂️
  18. It does continue. The frightful anxiety continues with it. That's good to know that it should be ok. Any idea why it might be reccomended that one shouldn't go near saunas or steam rooms for 8 month. Did your scabs come out and is it ok to start picking them off or washing them off at this stage? I'll probably stay away from the shower for a few more days just to be super safe. I wonder then will it be ok for me to shampoo and scrub really hard. I've still not touched the grafts only by accident a few times 🙈
  19. Are you sure dude? My instructions say to avoid saunas and steam for 1 month because the heat can be counter-productive. It has me slightly worried although I'll probably be fine as you say I will. I think its all looking realtively normal at this stage. I'll post more pictures in a few days when I reach the 2 week mark.
  20. Guys it says on my instructions to avoid saunas for a while after the hair transplant. I just had a hot bath. It got steamy so I opened the window but I sat in it for a few minutes and notice that I was breaking sweat from the heat before I cooled down. I didn't put my head under water. I washed my hair by pouring a jug of water/shampoo over my head. I'm 9 days out of surgery. Has the hot bath/steamy environment for a few minutes put my new grafts at any risk?
  21. Cool. Thanks. Does the dermis layer of the scalp hydrate itself?
  22. Cool man. Exciting! I can't wait, hopefully it works out properly as planned.
