  1. It would be great if some very tasty ladies bring you home from the clinic and care for you and treat you like a king maybe for two weeks or maybe for many years 🤷‍♂️ That is how gentlemen should be treated. That's my philosophy on life.
  2. So do you need to give the head a good proper wallop to do any damage?
  3. I know I am a liability 😭 It is scary trying to be extra safe. Just boarded a connection flight home now and when I get in in 3 hours its straight up to bed for 2 weeks, curtains pulled, spray bottle by the bedside and no more risky busiess 😂
  4. I see I see. So long as there's no bleeding I'm ok? 😯 I also just bumped my head on the plane, bending down to pick up a book and my head contacted the seat in front of me. Scary! But no blood.
  5. I didn't like smash it off my head or hit it very hard but it made contact. It was probably a light bump. I'll try not to worry though. Thanks bro I'll keep you in my prayers too.
  6. That is good news. I will try not to worry. What does a dislodged graft look like? Also do grafts need to be dislodged in order to be destroyed?
  7. I think I bumped it off somewhere in that region that's circled. It was the plastic lip of the spray bottled that I banged off my head 😭
  8. Hopefully we are ok. Please God everything will be fine 🙏🏻
  9. Jesus lad this is risky business 🙈 They should provide us with full-time care assistants for two weeks when we have transplants. That is so similar to what I did except instead of a finger it was the hard plastic lip of the spray bottle that I bumped off my head.
  10. I see. Is that definitely always the case. As far as I know there was no blood loss. I didn't notice much blood anyway. I patted my forehead down with tissue after words, to dry the dripping water off my forehead, and the tissue had a red tint in it, which I reckon was just dry blood mixing with the water and running down my forehead. I got to a mirror about one minute later and there was no real bleeding in the recipient area.
  11. Cool. Cheers. So I'm guessing you only sprayed once every few hours commencing the day after surgery and you ended up with good results yourself?
  12. How often should you spray the head with the saline solution post surgery. HRBR in Dublin say you should spray it lots, like every 30 minutes if you can, for several days immediately after surgery. Dr Saifi's instructions are different though. He says you should not start spraying it until the day after surgery, and you only need to spray it 4 or 5 times a day for about 5 days.
  13. Guys how hard do you have to bump your grafts to ruin them? 😢 When I was spraying my head without a mirror I brought the spray bottle so close to my head that it banged against my head where some of the grafts are 😢 This is so upsetting.
  14. Can I see a picture of your hair loss. 3,500 - 4,000 is a huge job and I'd always be wary of surgeons that qoute those numbers. Saifi and Anastasakis were my top two choices. Anastasakis estimated 2,000 grafts. Saifi estimated 1,800 but delivered 2,040 after deciding on a slightly more radical approach than was planned. I won't go for a check up tomorrow because I'm flying home early, but if I was flying out late I'd have been invited back for a check-up and he would have washed the hair for me.
  15. Pretty much. I arrived at about 9am and left after 7pm. It was probably 10 hours or thereabouts. I probably spent an hour or more in the morning getting prepared with shaving, filling out forms, hairline design, photographs and so on. They probably started surgery at 10:30, took a lunch break for 30 minutes at 4pm, and then worked until 7 or thereabouts. His staff are really wonderful, all very nice pleasant ladies. I took a few toilet breaks. It was a long day though.
  16. I certainly hope so buddy. I really do. I'm really cautious now about bumping my head, staring down at the ground or turning my head to fast in case I upset anything 😂 I'd be devastated if no result yielded, but delighted if it does work out well.
  17. I keep saying temple points by mistake, I've been meaning to say temporal peaks, was I right to buff up the temporal peaks lol, you know the pointy bits on the side?
  18. What I've been meaning to say is "tenporal leaks," they're the pointy bits at the side of the head.
