  1. I don't know about the other docs but you're looking at like $50k to go with Konior ..
  2. I can't see your other pics but these are your temple points(which are strong and intact):
  3. Again though you're talking about hair mills, you can't throw them all under the same blanket. There are highly competent surgeons doing one patient/1000 grafts per day procedures and putting out results that rival far more expensive clinics. It also absolutely is about average income, if the crap clinics priced themselves at the same price as a crap US clinic and the top ones priced themselves as the top US clinics then no one is going to be able to afford them, certainly not the locals and the foreigners would have no reason to go there. I guess I just don't understand the mentality that an entire country should be avoided because there are a load of shoddy clinics. That would be true if you were picking a name out of a hat but thanks to forums like this we know quite well those who are doing good consistent work and those that should be avoided.
  4. I also don't think Turkey should be discounted. Writing off an entire country and many good surgeons because there's also a bunch of cheap shady clinics isn't fair. Of course if you go to a clinic offering a hair transplant for the price of a bag of skittles then you're very likely not going to get a great result but this is surely just common sense. You have to realise though that the average income in Turkey is very low compared to the US or other countries so they can't charge the same prices, this goes for the best clinics too who are charging €2.5-€3 per graft but that's the equivalent of paying like €10/graft in the US.
  5. Some pics you look like you have a thick, dense head of hair but then others show quite extensive thinning throughout almost the entire scalp.
  6. Does anyone think that taking fin could affect a footballer's performance? Mane's level has really declined this season for instance and given he's had a transplant it's possible he's also taking fin. I remember Arsene Wenger alluding to not wanting his players taking hair loss medication before so maybe there is something to it? Though that is very easy for him to say as a 70 year old with an NW1 hairline 😂
  7. Everyone will have their opinion but mine is as follows. You are clearly not happy with your hair situation and it's not going to get any better, you can wait but I don't see what good that will really do. HLC are a very reputable clinic and will see you right. Go with the highest/most conservative hairline that you feel comfortable with, it doesn't need to be on the top of your head but you can't go all Zayn Malik either. The same goes for the density as well, of course you'd love a super thick and dense hairline but you need to be realistic and compromise a little. You will need another procedure, maybe two in the future so plan for that eventuality. As I said that's just my opinion, only you can decide what's best for you. Good luck.
  8. I guess it comes down to priorities. Would you rather be thinned out at the front but with the crown intact or a nice hairline and mid-scalp but with a thinning crown. The latter is essentially where the OP will be if he loses the hair behind the transplant(which is likely), personally I would take that over his current situation but then everyone is different. At that point he will still have say 2-3000 grafts left to stagger throughout the back and bulk up the crown. He could also make use of concealers or even SMP to further disguise it. Having a thin crown isn't ideal, especially in your 30s but in 20 years' time it will pretty much be par for the course, he won't look out of the ordinary - unless he were to progress to an NW7 but then you could say that for everyone.
  9. Forget about lowering anything, you need to use the grafts you have left to add density throughout the entire area.
  10. I have a slightly different opinion to most on this. First of all OP, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the likelihood that your loss has magically stopped and will stay that way is very, very low. I don't think guys get to that level of hair loss by 26 and don't go bald, when that will be I don't know but my guess would be in the not too distant future. So let's just assume the worst and that you are destined to be a bald/NW6. The way I see it is that if you're going to get a hair transplant then you're going to start with the hairline anyway, whether that's in your current condition hair-wise or if you wait until you're bald. As long as you don't get some silly low, straight hairline(and I don't think HLC would do this anyway as they are a very reputable clinic) then you should be left with enough grafts in the bank to fill in the rest behind at some point when you need it. Given your obvious hair loss and the fact that this will be your first procedure then they will only extract from the safest part of the donor so you can be reasonably confident that those are lifetime grafts. Obviously we then get onto the topic of finasteride. Everyone will have their views on this but even the clinical trials themselves only show an efficacy up to 15 years, now I'm not saying that it's not possible for the drug to continue working past this point and I'm sure some have been on it longer than that and still maintaining well but there are also cases where its effectiveness has diminished with time. Just a few days ago someone posted on here that it halted their hair loss for two years but then it stopped working so clearly that's no guarantee either. Anyway, that's just my opinion. As I said, I don't think that having the procedure is out of the question but you need to plan for the worst eventuality so you need to think conservatively when it comes to hairline placement. Good luck.
  11. 2ish. I've always liked that V-shape kind of hairline. He looks better when it's buzzed short though IMO, when he's grown it out it kind of makes him look old.
  12. How/where did you even find this clinic? Man I'm not criticising but I don't know how people can get a surgery like this done without proper research first. It's not like going to a barbers, if you get a crappy haircut then oh well you tough it out for a few weeks and then get it cut again properly but with this you don't know what damage could be done to you. Thankfully you just got a poor result and lost some money so the situation is salvageable, you need to thoroughly research your options this time though.
  13. I was a bit worried when I saw your head was orange and that you'd gone to a clinic I'd never heard of but you've had an excellent result, a massive improvement from where you started. Before you consider getting another procedure though I think you should try Toppik for the crown, not that spray can stuff. Toppik is less intrusive and more natural looking.
  14. Quite bad, you're diffuse thinning. Hopefully by taking fin though you will halt any loss and perhaps even regrow some hair seeing as you haven't been losing it for a long time.
  15. Same situation for me. 30 and NW2 with a high-ish hairline but I have pretty thick hair like one of those coconut mats, it's only the past 2-3 years that I've noticed the corners going slightly up and in. I'd also like to slightly lower the central part of the hairline by 0.5-1cm but I don't actually want a flat NW1 so the amount of grafts needed would probably be offset anyway. Anyway, I don't think you're being unreasonable to want to lower the hairline, it doesn't sound like your local doctor is your best bet though. Do your research and find a surgeon who has a track record for similar cases.
  16. The general consensus is that by 3 months you should start to see some hairs breaking through, 6 months is considered to be the halfway point and then 12 months the full result(more or less). I can't speak from personal experience but having read through hundreds of reports I think generally it happens a bit quicker than this. I don't know whether techniques have just improved but I think most are seeing much more than 50% by 6 months nowadays, more like 75%. My impression is that months 4-6 are when the hair stats to "explode", after that it's just about the last few grafts growing in and the hair maturing/thickening. Still though it's always best to assume that 12 months is when you can safely judge whether it was a success or a failure. Hair placed in the crown also typically takes longer than hair placed at the front.
  17. I'm always a little suspicious of new accounts posting their results, no matter how convincing the write-up and pics are.
  18. You've shortlisted a good group of doctors, Pekiner is my personal favourite but they all do good work so really I think you should contact all of them and see which one you feel most comfortable with. I agree with your assessment of your situation, your frontal third is quite sparse so the entire area needs addressing rather than a more typical case where it's just about transplanting into the temples and joining into the existing hairline.
  19. Pekiner's work always looks very clean and meticulous, hopefully you will have a great result like @kiokbs How did the design of the hairline go? Did Dr Pekiner draw what he thought would look right and then you gave your input or was it more the other way around? Either way it looks good.
  20. It's good to see a positive Pekiner result on here, there are loads on the Italian forum(in fact his sub-section seems to be the busiest on there) so hopefully we start to see a few more on HRN in the future.
  21. Looks great to me! You'll have to point to the bit you say is thin because I can't see it. I noticed that you had a few grafts put into the temple points, can you see the difference compared to before?
  22. I'm going to be honest, I'm a bit sceptical. The OP had pretty substantial loss with not much left on top in the front and middle third. The immediate post op pics don't look great, honestly I was fearing this was going to be a botch job. Somehow though, with just 1730 grafts he now has what appears to be a pretty full and thick head of hair? If this is indeed genuine then I can only apologise, take my scepticism as a compliment for an amazing job.
  23. You've got great temple points. About 1500 by the way but have seen some excellent results done with 1200.
  24. ? The only advice posted in this thread so far is: - Get on fin - Consider getting on Fin but do your research, weigh up the potential benefits and consequences, talk to an expert Am I wrong in thinking that it's actually the 2nd view that you want the OP to be "cautious" of? Really?
