  1. What are my options after that? I know I have to wait at least 12 months, but wait times for surgeons are so long I want to set things in motion right now, I am looking at surgeons that are skilled at touch ups and really makes the most of your grafts as I only have 4000 left.. if price is not an issue, who is the best? I keep hearing couto but I can't find many patient testimonials. Maybe konoir in the US or de freitas? Someone that does all the work himself or has at most one team of highly experienced techs.
  2. About a week from my 5 month mark, here are some pictures after a day when my hair is a bit oily. Really depressing so far.. hanging in there but the realistic side of me is taking over, once again sporting a comb over and deathly afraid of wind ?
  3. Amazing result man, does Bisanga supervise the entire surgery? And do you know how many he does a day? Also what was the price? Comparing this to other results with similar or even more grafts from different surgeons makes me question their claimed graft survival rates.
  4. Sure the techs are mentioned on the forums, but nowhere in the process did they explain this to me. More importantly they never told me that he performs 4 surgeries a day in the pre-consultiation, and with good reason as myself and many others would have ran for the hills. Me and the other guys that had surgeries in those two days were extremely worried about this and none of us knew of it in advance. I very seldom see posts discussing the parallel surgeries. Let me elaborate, I do believe there are clinics that have home-runs every time when possible, I.e every case when it is solely left to the skill of the techs and the surgeon, discounting very rare external and biological factors. In the case with Asmed, they use an inordinate number of grafts and sometimes produce results like this, why?
  5. This is false, nowhere in the pre-op consultation email did they state it is a tech driven operation, the only thing that came close to mentioning techs was was "Dr. Koray Erdogan will perform the surgery together with his surgical team. " and on the website I only found a mention of the techs under the insertion part. Also, stop with the childish personal attacks, they are not adding to the discussion.
  6. What exactly did i lie about? A slam dunk isn't garantueed with some clinics, this should especially be true for clinics that have it as a priority to maximize number of surgeries per day due to the added variables.
  7. How is this not considered a failure? You have to cover the low density with your existing hair and can't have it slicked back. These 15-24 month waiting times are bullshit to the benefit of the clinic. JeanDD, why would this guy go back to asmed after this? 3200 grafts should be a slam dunk for this guy.
  8. Very disappointing, what does the clinic say? How do they explain this?
  9. Really take this into consideration, they don't advertise the fact that they perform several surgeries a day, and the extraction and insertion is done by techs with no supervision from the surgeon except a quick inspection at the very end. Also read my thread and very disappointing progress.
  10. Definitely look better off than me mate, hoping you get a good result.
  11. Ok! I will check it out, thank you for the information!
  12. Can you show these bad results to me? Also i wouldn't mind multiple sessions if it ensured graft survival.
  13. I see, would you have gone with him had he been closer? Is he still that good?
  14. Wow, 500 grafts a day and comparing your first 4 month progress to mine I wish I had known about this guy before I did my transplant.. why did you opt for Lupanzula this time? And is it right that you've transplanted over 6500 grafts in total? Have you done any smp? Your donor looks great
  15. Give it a rest man. I admitted my mistake in posting early yet you keep driving this point to make it look like I have sinister motives? I removed a post where I was overly harsh on the clinic, I stand by everything else, lets see how it looks in 1.5 months. I wouldn't complain if I had actual contact with the doctor and could talk to him personally. It feels like I stepped on a conveyor belt and went through Erdogans FUE-factory, which might be fine for some, but I would have needed a more personal experience.
  16. I realize this, every source ive read states that the majority of new sprouts occurs in the first six months though, so realistically as others have stated I should be able to make an informed assesment at the six month mark, correct? As of month 4.5 there is very little happening behind the front hairline.
  17. I will ask but i doubt it, I'm seeing a lot of doubles in the very front of my hairline as well as a single triple which stands out like a sore thumb, is it standard procedure to chart grafts?
  18. I really appreciate the offer, thank you! I am realistic in my expectations however the growth I have seen is not on par with what I had expected based on the multitude of progress reports I have read. I realize everyone is different physiologically and will wait until the sixth month mark like most members have recommended to make an informed assesment, and keep updating my thread with progress every couple of weeks. Thank you again all for the support and kindness shown here during these stressful times
  19. Only biotin and finasteride, otherwise very healthy, don't smoke, drink moderately and only beer at that
  20. Thanks for the link mate, I'm nearing 4.5 months and am nowhere near where he was though, i would be very happy if i was..
  21. Sorry for being You are right about the first two points, and I didn't mean for it to come off as me blaming the clinic for the shock loss, just stated what happened. Also I explicitly stated Konoir cost more in my post. I know I am coming of as neurotic, I am absolutely panicking and have very high anxiety over this, it is starting to impact my personal life. You are all right, I will hold out until the sixth month mark
  22. Really saddening post by you JeanDD. My 4 month was reported 3 days before the mark, I have updated the thread with more pictures since then. I complained about the post operative cleaning, not the shampoo, I.e the cleaning of the scalp after the incisions + the first wash by the clinic. I did not complain about shedding nor did I blame the clinic, I merely reported on it. Hope that answers your questions.
  23. Of course, but doctors like Konoir are pricy because they devote their full attention to you, he only does a single transplant a day and supervises every step of the process. But like I said I can't make the decision for you, sure Erdogan has nice results and you might become one of those, I'm just talking from my own perspective.
  24. You have no idea who the techs are or how long they have worked, or their level of education. My techs were very young girls who didn't speak a word of english and were singing along to Turkish pop music as they were extracting, it was a bizarre experience. Honestly do what you want, I deeply regret going with this clinic, I had not done my research. You get around 10 minutes with the doctor, no one but your coordinator speaks English, doctor does 4 other surgeries in parallel to maximise profit, he didn't even inspect the graft placement on the second day. And worst of all if something clearly isn't right they won't inspect you and just tell you to wait 15 months. Save up some more money and wait for Konoir mate, I wish I had.
  25. Its 2.5 euros per graft, good luck, hope you don't get the B-team techs out of the 4 parallel transplants he does per day. When you have at least 4 rotating teams of techs per day your margin of error increases astronomically.
