  1. Skill is the key here, what is your hair diameter do you know?
  2. Yes I will of course, but will hold off until month six which is 20 days from now
  3. Yeah since the surgery ive had milsd seb derm and dry scalp but nothing major, its pretty normal from what ive read, I am using fungoral twice a week and an anti dandruff shampoo for it, why do you ask?
  4. Fair enough man, I guess it's because it doesn't look like much is happening and that six month mark feels like it is just around the corner, when in reality its closer to 22 days away, wish it was double that at the rate things are going
  5. I very much appreciate it mate. I realize and fully admit i am not emotionally equipped to deal with this kind of setback.. i really didn't expect it to look like this at 5 months with the number of grafts I spent and other results I've seen. Look at the 1500 graft case from Dr Nadimi on the front page at the moment, I mean if that kind of growth is max 1500 grafts In what looks like a similar area, then from your experience how many of my 2800 are currently growing would you say? 700? 1000?
  6. I disagree that my criticism is misleading to blatantly inaccurate. I think certain things should be disclosed by them more readily (or at all), such as the 4 parallel surgeries, the very short (10-15 minutes) of interaction with the doctor, and the fact that techs do the extractions. And I don't mean vague insinuations, I mean where they clearly and concisely state these points.
  7. Wow, what a nightmare, I always thought it was easier to correct density after a failed transplant, but what your saying is that it is even harder to correct with larger risk of complications? So basically if you didn't get good results on the first pass you are screwed?
  8. What I meant is that I am approaching the half-time of my sprouting growth, I.e 6 months, my milestones are shedding (month 2), start of sprouts (month 3), end of new sprouts (month 6), maturation (month 12)
  9. Why are you so adamant on discrediting me? What is your personal gain in this? I never said I was six months, I said I was approaching six months, e.g in I'm closer to six months than 0 months, this isn't hard to read from my post yet you intentionally misinterpret what I write to make me seem to have sinister motives, why?
  10. Thank you. It's hard not to get discouraged at this stage, I will not do anything hasty however. If my situation has not changed considerably by month 8-12 I would most likely just cut my losses and shave it off, hopefully that is ultimately still an option despite the scarring.
  11. Is cobblestoning and ridging a greater risk when doing a repair?
  12. I don't style it any more, I wear a cap when I can, it's impossible to style it right now because of the low density behind the hairline I need a pretty elaborate comb over (posted some pics of this earlier) which doesn't look very good. When I can use toppik again I will style it and post pics. Hoping one day I can wear it slicked back like you
  13. Wellp, I couldn't stay away, been obsessively trying to find new sprouts in my hairline as I'm approaching the six month mark, unfortunately I'm not seeing any new sprouts in the very gappy areas. Looking at this closeup I don't know how many sprouts I would need for it not to look pluggy. What do you guys think based on this picture? Is it possible I will have enough new sprouts here to make any difference?
  14. Yup, its absolutely shocking to be honest, look at what they achieved with 1500 grafts compared to other clinics with almost double that graft count, really confusing i think?
  15. Sorry mate, didn't mean to agitate you, you have a great outlook on life and I hope the very best for you.
  16. Don't think so mate just looking at your pictures it looks like you will have a great result judging by the early growth, happy for you my man ?
  17. Looks like you were lucky and your techs did a good job mate, I'm very envious of your progress
  18. I find it infuriating that they won't disclosure the names of our techs. I am seeing huge similarities in our transplants, it would tell us a lot if we had the same tech team I think.
  19. Hi mate, maybe i'm using the word wrong, I mean he streamlined it for higher profits with more risk/unknown variables by upping surgeries per day to 4 and himself no longer doing the extractions.
  20. Here is a pic i took at work today of my hair, its a bit oily after half a day. Honestly i think i will just leave the forums for now, until my six month update at least, it's just frustrating and energy consuming looking at other peoples progress. Thank you for the support guys.
  21. The front looks fairly good as far as spacing of the grafts, like it could be dense enough to not see the scalp in a couple of months. They told me that they reinforced the front with 200 additional grafts on the second (crown) day of the surgery, which is why i only have 800 grafts in the crown and not 1000 as was initially agreed on. I will take pics when i get home.
  22. Thank you mate, you look fantastic in the last picture, great hairline design too, really happy for you. I wish that type of result for all of us, i will keep looking and praying for those new sprouts.
  23. 5 months hey fellas, I would say not a great deal has changed since last, existing hair got longer and thicker, I see some sprouts here and there, but not nearly enough. I have been picking through my recipient trying to figure out why it is looking like this, and the only conclusion I can draw is that there are bald patches all over my hairline with no visible sprouts, and the distance between the hairs that are growing is far too large in those areas. This is becoming more and more apparent now that the existing hair is growing thicker. I have maybe a month or two of new sprouts left, but at the rate they are coming I'm not betting on any substantial changes, the existing hair will mature but based on the distance between the growing follicles it won't be nearly enough. Some people are claiming I am panicking or overly pessimistic etc but I'm really not, at least not any more, I am trying to look at this with honest and realistic, albeit very disappointed eyes. The pictures below are where my hair is wet which I feel most shows what I discussed above with the bald zones, I will take some dry pictures later for transparency. Before anyone asks what the clinic is saying: "wait 15-18 months" Best regards
  24. I respect that and I am glad you are happy, but I don't understand why people are giving this clinic a free pass. Look several of the asmed threads on this forum and you will see a recurring theme. An enormous number of grafts used, the patient is happy, yet not satisfied with the density and will opt for a touch up. I firmly believe that after these mega sessions we do, we shouldn't need any touch up to fill in density. In your case there are big gaps in the recipient where clearly the grafts did not survive which are resulting in this low density appearance. How many percentage of the grafts survived in your case? What does the clinic claim and have you gotten a second opinion? I am only 5 months in, that is true, but I am seeing the same thing in my hairline, big gaps completely bald with no sprouts in the same areas (frontal area, mostly on the sides same as you), is this a coincidence? I believe we need to get to the root of these issues, both for our sakes but also for future HT patients browsing this forum. Honesty and transparency is the most important thing there. Hoping the best for you.
  25. As a 50 year old Norwood 5 the only realistic option should be a FUT with a good US or European doctor in my opinion, is there a specific reason why you are looking at turkish FUE doctors?
