  1. How surgeons decide if native hair in a transplanted area should "stay" and not replaced by new hair?
  2. Thanks mate, Dr Maras is awesome. it was important that it will look natural and blend good. have almost another month to the second procedure and you guys right, i would probably do mini touch up behind the hairline, really small amount and the rest to mid and crown.
  3. I was told that i don't need to shave my head, but i can't help myself, i need to see what's going on with the density in the front. i really really really want to add density to the front, but i am nervous it will harm the transplanted hair and besides 300-400 less grafts really going to make a lot of change in the mid and crown?
  4. so this is a good area to leave alone or to get less density, which more areas?
  5. Thanks BeHappy, i guess i will know for sure in about a month when i shave my head. i know i should deal with the crown area from behind and sides, but i would rather add density to the front and maybe leave the actually middle of the scalp alone, i mean the really middle that you can see only from above.
  6. Thanks FrontalHT12, appreciate it. hope you get the result you want in the coming few months.
  7. Thanks PlzRespond, i'm going to shave my head before i go to the second procedure so i will see what with the density over all. my dilemma now is how to divide the grafts. let's say 3000-3200 that needs to cover mid scalp and crown area + little bit of add density to the front. maybe the best way is to do the crown and add density to the front because those areas you can see from behind and when people looking at you and the left grafts put in mid scalp? maybe the middle still have some strong hair there that could stay also? appreciate opinions.
  8. Hey, home1212, yea, first procedure was hairline and frontal zone. pre op picture-
  9. Everybody i talked to said to wait 6 months, but i waited a lot more.
  10. Hey mate, in my opinion if everything is looking good don't take unnecessary risks, just wait. my clinic also told me 6 months post op no direct sun, i also bought UPF50 hat.
  11. Hey guys, so 11 months post op. after i shampoo my scalp if i don't comb the hair and just dry it the hair kinda clogs together and you can see thin areas in the recipient which won't be that noticeable if you comb the hair. planning to go to a second HT in about a month. what is the "real" view of the situation? another thing, is it "smart" to do second HT just 12 months post the first one? first picture- without comb second picture- after combing.
  12. Hey, what do you think the best product for wavy/curly hair?, what kind, gel, moss, clay. and do you know about natural products that won't harm the transplanted hair?
  13. Thanks adamwillams, i want to use it for sun spots on my forehead, is it "safe" to take post HT?
  14. Would like to see too. good luck in your second HT mate.
  15. Looks great for 4 months, right on track, just stay patience.
  16. hey guys, i'm taking MSM, Biotin, vitamin D and vitamin B12 (this one not everyday). in addition i eat walnuts, almonds, pumpkinseed, brazil nuts and flaxseed daily. i have some pigmentation spots on my forehead, probably from years of wearing hats and not using sun screen. there are talking about this supplement- Pycnogenol which can help this. is anyone got experience with that and is it "safe" to use for the hair? (currently 11 months post op, another 1.5 month going to do another one) with all the things i'm taking is it "safe" to take that too? thank you
  17. Agree, looks good for six months, happy growth mate.
  18. Thank you Mick50, i will, i guess without flash and harsh light it will look even better. Thank you TrixGlendevon. why did you think it won't look good? guys, what do you think about the grafts number needed to add to the front and to the mid scalp & crown?
  19. Thank you for your compliment i don't really know about the density, but as you can see in the first picture there was a big area to cover. now i need to deal with the mid scalp and crown, it's more mid scalp than crown actually, they say my donor area healed very good and we can use around 3000 more grafts. i don't know how many grafts i will need to put behind the hairline, 500? 1000?, i don't know. to the mid scalp maybe 2500-3000 grafts probably. i don't know Dr Christine personally, but i saw a guy on this website who did with her. i defiantly recommend HDC clinic from my experience. it's not just the doctor, the stuff is really good and nice, they take care of you really good, don't rush the work, they give you an apartment just across the clinic for a week to recover and take care of your scalp everyday so when i got home my scalp had no inflammation and free of scabs. donor area pictures.
  20. Hey SOW, sure, thank you for your interest. close to 11 months post op. in about a 1.5 month the plan is to go back and do the mid scalp plus the crown and maybe add grafts to the front if it won't damage the current ones. of course going back to Dr Maras. pictures are about 10 months and 3 weeks. with flash under harsh light, showing you with those conditions. no meds or minoxi, just MSM and Biotin. first picture is just pre op.
