  1. Every business should determine how to handle a dissatisfied customer. It's unreasonable to expect that every perceived flaw by the recipient should be corrected by the clinic free-of-charge. Eugenix provided additional grafts. Seems like they also provided an opportunity for OP to discuss his concerns. I can understand OP being upset - I would be, too. And I can understand if OP doesn't want to remedy his circumstance through the clinic that he is at issue with. For me, what is important is if the clinic in question is ethically responsive to a legitimate concern. If the patient chooses not to exercise options provided by the clinic to remedy the situation, the clinic should not be held to account.

I hope OP is able to find another clinic who can beef up the hairline. A few hundred grafts should do it.

  2. Thanks for sharing. Definitely not a good end result in the hairline. Do you think that most of the 450 grafts that Dr. Sethi transplanted in the mid-scalp grew?

The hairs in your hairline in the before pic look thin but the hairs there now are thick so I assume that the transplants grew but the hairs around which the transplants were placed did not grow back.

This is a much better read on graft survival rate factors.

    https://injertocapilar.com/sp_faq/factors-influencing-graft-survival/

Thanks for posting this. Quite enlightening.

Here's the summary (written by the MD, not me) for those that don't want to go through the entire article. No hard conclusions to be drawn but the doctor who wrote it attributes the rate of vascularization as important.

    General Impressions:

We have looked at graft survival from many viewpoints, but we have not yet satisfactorily uncovered some of the factors leading to inconsistencies in growth. In this author’s opinion, part of it may lie in the recipient bed and the speed of revascularization. Grafts placed inmediately after harvesting don’t seem to grow significantly better than those placed several hours later. Rinaldi’s use of topical 1-3-atodine solution post-transplantation, the effects of PRP, the use of inhibitors of iNOS, and the work on up-regulating VEGF are all exciting. Grafts may take 3 or more days to re-vascularise. Anything to speed this process or support them in the interim logically might help. Preconditioning of grafts with growth factors and antioxidants while out of the body is also very promising. Additionally, isolated cases suggesting improved hair growth using hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) are encouraging, especially when one considers studies showing improved skin graft and flap survival with HBO. It should be pointed out that oxygen therapy is known to stimulate angiogenesis.

  4. When I purchased my topical dut from Dr. Mwamba's clinic, they sent me an email suggesting that I incorporate mesotherapy 1x per week with the meds.

Here's the quote from the initial email:

'For maximum benefits it is advised to combine with once-a-week Dutasteride Mesotherapy 0.01% with micro needling at 0.5mm to 1mm'

I followed up because it wasn't clear if they were suggesting to apply the dut right after the needling or, as has been widely suggested for the combo use of microneedling and minoxidil, wait 24 hours before applying.

    Here's their response:

'If you are doing the combined treatment of Topical Dutasteride and Mesotherapy; Mesotherapy should be applied 3 times a month (expand to 4 if you do not have side effects). To apply it, use the Microneedling and then apply the product.'

I am about to buy DUT from the Fueclinic.com but the website is so terrible that it makes me nervous about whether it’s legit.

How many have bought from them and what was the buying experience like?

@ct8282its legit. I just purchased and received the topical dut. Yes - the website needs improvement.

I received the formula in about 1.5 weeks (from Spain to Canada). I'm on my second week (2x per week is my schedule with a light microneedling beforehand on one of those two days - 1.0 mm or less). It has a nice? smell - not medicinal, thankfully.

  6. I have a couple of threads going but I felt that everyone who is a high NW and is not sure if a HT can work for you should consider what an FUE alone can now accomplish. I'm not alone. There are a few of us on here who have had dramatic transformations with FUE alone.

We are brought here to life our fullest selves and this surgery and the great work of Eugenix is enabling you to do just that!

Yes - this absolutely. Dr. Sethi himself is a remarkably spiritual individual who has vowed to dedicate his life to the service of others. There is a kindred spirit for those of us who have gone to Eugenix and who have interacted with Drs. Sethi and Bansal and their staff. It sets them apart and I am grateful for having known them, and others on this forum like you, @JC71, @Melvin- Moderator, @Gatsby @Zoomster @MazAB

Good question…what are people saying? Do they notice the change?

As of right now, the only person who has seen the change is my wife and she is absolutely floored by the change!

My son went to S Korea last September to study - before I had the transplant - so he has not seen the real dramatic change since we text each other rather than Zoom. Although we are doing a Zoom tonight since he is leaving to Europe for a month before coming back home and I am sure that he will also be amazed.

I switched up jobs in January and so my new office colleagues have no idea I was once bald. I haven't mentioned a thing since I'm just getting to know them.

Because of my SMP-gone-wrong back in 2015, I began to become more withdrawn socially. It was a humiliating experience. Even more so because I was once so gregarious and dynamic. Then, with the lockdowns and social isolation over the past two years, I haven't seen some friends for a long time. I intend to change that over the coming months.

I've said this before to Drs. Bansal and Sethi and some of the other wonderful guys on here - this surgery was really a life-altering experience for me. I feel like my life is coming back again.
