I am looking for any members who have had a HT (preferably FUT) with Dr. Aditya Gupta in Toronto at Sure Hair or Seager Hair.

errrr....it's common practice for hair restoration surgeons to use 2 different background tone colors when taking before and after pics. The 2nd background - the 'after' pic - is usually a few tones darker to reduce contrast and enhance the esthetics of the transplant. I have no problem with clinics using this 'trick' but let's be open about it.

A balding friend of mine tried to keep his long hair intact with transplants and no meds. Now it looks much, much worse than if he had just cut it short in the first place. He has come to the realization that: a) he should have gone on fin a long time ago; b) transplants with aggressive hairloss and no meds is a disaster in the waiting.

Thanks a lot Shera.
So in that case, maybe I'm better off just having SMP instead of hair transplat?
As you said I'm guessing it's hard for you to say without seeing my scalp so I attached two photos.
What do you think? Also would you say it's possible to combine SMP with a haircut of 3mm, or do I have to shave my head completely?
I appreciate your help
Thanks again,
George
I think SMP would really be a better (and much cheaper) option for you at this point. I would ask the SMP technician to choose a shade that is slightly lighter than your native hair.
Should I Be Having Second Thoughts About Rahal?

I can't speak for Dr. Rahal's results personally. From his website and reviews, he continues to be one of the more sought after HT doctors in North America. However, I have been dealing with his clinic for the last few months, arranging for an in-person consultation with Rahal. His staff aren't as responsive as I would expect from a doctor who charges top dollars for FUE. There is also a greater emphasis on choosing FUE over FUT, which is my preference. On the other hand, I am consulting with another HT doctor in Toronto who is happy to do FUT at a lower price and with better customer care. The customer service from Rahal has been disappointing.
