  1. C'mon dude! If you do in-depth investigations into hair transplant history you will NOT let him operate on you. I can't be any clearer. Dr. Feller is top notch and in the biz for over 20 years. Frankly, you seem resistant to other suggestions of top USA FUT surgeons except for Huebner. Man oh man - can some other posters get in here and show him the light? Frankly, if this is your last 'strip' surgery - consult w/Hasson and Wong. They are known for great yield and consistently have the largest sessions of FUT surgery docs in N. America. Their techs are consistently rated A+.
  2. Well, having strip surgery previously w/Hasson and Wong you must have known what initial challenges there are with strip surgery - but maybe you had no shock loss and could cut down the hair quickly. Hang in there. Not everyone (even in a professional setting) is concerned with your hair. In fact I would say they might give a crap for 10 seconds and then be on their way. Just do your thing the best you know how and try and not overly concern yourself with others for now. Regardless, keep your head up. You have done everything you could w/two very good FUT hair surgeons. I've been there as well.
  3. Please take this advice; just let it be. No offense intended. It will resolve. Just takes time. Try not to let it affect you - there is NOTHING you can do about it except wait for it to grow back. Don't get worked up about it. Just comb your hair in the back over it and be on with your day. No one will even notice.
  4. Hi, Please cross Huebner from your list. Don't go down that path. I had 2250 FUT/FUSS transplant from Dr. Feller in 2004. He is a bit conservative w/his strip size; completely competent & his staff is excellent. He's a top- tier strip surgeon in the USA. Down to earth, modest office complex in Great Neck & doesn't put on airs. A doctor who treats each patient w/care and attention to detail. Good pre-op discussion and realistic expectations. He's had work done so he also knows what it is like to be a hairloss sufferer as well. I don't care for flying into Long Island and the traffic - other than that. No problems. He has alot of older videos on youtube he posted from his car and house and basically discusses all kinds of stuff I found pretty interesting - even though I'm older and had my first surgery in '91.
  5. Agree. Erdogan is FUE competent, uses well-trained techs - but he's a VOLUME guy (lots of grafts, lots of patients). Recently he wrote that his techs will use microscopes to inspect grafts to avoid as much as possible 2 or more haired grafts in the very frontal hairline. Artistically - his hairlines are fairly generic. Simple as. If you look at some videos of Shapiro online (intra-surgery videos) - he is extremely precise and picky and artistic when planning recipient 'zones' and final recipient sites for very frontal hairline zone & zones behind it. Difference in style. I believe 95% of Erdogan's customer's go there for lots of hair and low cost. There are several more artistic FUE docs in Europe and USA - but they cost. Lots of pros/cons and always an individual decision.
  6. Fine. I apologize, sincerely for my personal comments. I was being a real pisser in this thread. I understand where you are coming from - as well as the original poster. My sense of humor borders on mockery at times. He had ROCK STAR hair - it hurt my eyes to see Hasson transform his hair to ICONIC ROCK STAR status!! Haha. Point taken. I'm sure he is thrilled and I wish him the best going forward. All hairloss sufferers deserve support for being proactive and taking the time to properly research possible solutions. peace...
  7. Good post by JeanLDD. Poster would be wise to understand the UK 'dynamics.' It's weird & unique to the UK - but it's a signficant factor. JeanLDD - damnit; get on that spreadsheet! ; )
  8. I respectfully disagree. I'm not bitter at all. It is my 'opinion' only this man had no hairloss (Hasson's as well). I'll leave it at that. I'll stand by my posted responses. Hasson told him he had no hairloss. A surgeon with decades of experience. No worries everyone; I post when I have something to write.
  9. Sure. This is a message-board forum for people w/hairloss. You didn't have any. Hasson told you so. He only operated on you so you wouldn't possibly be disfigured by a less technical surgeon. You don't belong on this forum nor should you be posting here. In fact, your thread should be deleted.
  10. Yea. My question. Who's your psychiatrist and what medications are you on? Guys like you shouldn't post here. It makes a mockery of this forum.
  11. Great! Nice. I know a clinic that writes that they use 20X's magnification for dissection. I wonder if this completely eliminates the possibility of multi-hair grafts in the very frontal critical hairline?
  12. I nominate JeanLDD as the forum's unofficial 'anti-hero' moderator. This guy! So young. So virile. So intense. Another transplant at age 23/24 - go for it! Australian Tasmanian devil man? Yes! In the workplace he will dominate. Eating other men's young - taking their women. Unstoppable! His knowledge unbound! ; )
  13. Dr. Soni does excellent work (sagittal incisions). Many docs use both lateral slit initially and then work around those incisions w/sagittal incisions; Shapiro, for example. Some do exclusive lateral slit - some do exclusive sagittal. Doctor skill/artistry/expertise trumps incision techniques though. Dr. Soni does top-notch usually larger FUT sessions because he has the support team to enable this, good tight trichophytic closure and has excellent techs. I like his mostly V-shaped hairlines - but someone could consult w/him on that if not completely what one wants. Good growing!
  14. Okay JDD - we all know you are the smartest guy in the room and always will be. Pure aesthetics my friend - at the very frontal hairline that mimics nature. That's all. I appreciate true artistry and obsessive detail that yields the very best in cosmetic surgery. My final frontal hairline design will reflect that. In the U.S. for those 750 to 1,500 final grafts that will be either Shapiro or Konior or in N. America Wong. My only point really was ALL grafts (FUE or FUT), but especially 1 haired grafts should be inspected w/microscopes to make sure the very frontal hairline one pays so much money for is completely natural to the naked eye. Trained eye or casual eye. Cheers!
  15. Also, I don't believe his techs inspect grafts that 'appear' to be 1 haired follicular units w/loops on are inspected and dissected under a microscope either. So? You end up w/doubles and triples in your frontal hairline if some of these follicular units have extra grafts in them that are not actively growing or are nearly translucent. Correct me if I'm wrong Koray patients? I don't believe his techs are inspecting '1 haired follicular appearing' grafts under a microscope after extraction? The very best FUE doctor's techs look at every single FUE follicular units under a microscope and are trimmed if needed and inspected to clearly see exactly how many follicular units are in each graft. If not done you'll end up with a certain amount of doubles and triples in your hairline after it grows out - nobody wants that. It's not natural. Very important in my opinion for the very most realistic hairline 'cause that's what people see first! Koray is not a top-tier 'artistic' fue surgeon for hairlines in my opinion.
  16. I'll have him take pics before my 2nd surgery with him showing my hair at 2 months growth to match what my hair growth was pre-1st surgery. Going back in December of '18.
  17. Sorry. $1 USD for 4,500 FUT grafts. $2 USD for 500 FUE grafts.
  18. Yea; I paid $1 USD per graft (4,500 FUT) in March '17 & I paid $2 USD per graft (500 FUE) in March '17 Extra $500 USD for the pre-screening medical bloodwork & misc. w/ 1-2 night stay at his clinic in Jaipur w/meals included. I had surgery on a Friday and stayed at his clinic Thur/Fri/Sat night (stayed an extra night 'cause he doesn't do surgery on Sunday & he was leaving on vacation that day w/his wife). I'll be doing what will probably be my last FUT with him again in Nov/Dec of '18 (19-21 months from my initial surgery with him).
  19. Dr. Soni could do a large session with you - I think you'd have very good results w/your hair quality. His closure w/fut is very good as well (if you need another FUT in the future). Good luck!
  20. Do they examine manually extracted grafts under a micrscope to ensure that grafts that look like 1 haired-follicles are truly 1 haired-follicles? If a clinic doesn't use a micrscope AFTER extraction - MANY apparent 1 haired-follicles really contain 2 hairs (without using a micrscope). A magnification loop nor the naked eye is good enough to spot lurking 2 haired-follicles that look like 1 haired ones.
  21. Surprised as well. Northwest Lace usually bends over backwards to sort you out and keep you as a long-term customer.
  22. Yea; pretty obvious at that length. But like you wrote - a bit longer and you're good. You should take pics when it gets to that 'just right length.'
