  1. Yes, it will. Even something mild* like Anavar will impact your hairs. If hairloss is a concern, and you are already prone to hairloss, then steroids should be off the table. Just put in the work, even if you have allegedly "peaked" EDIT: I know two people who take meds, and also have taken quality gear, but have lost their transplanted hairs. I would say something like 20% loss. If the transplanted hairs were prone to hairloss, steroids will accelerate that loss. Everyone else here is making an educated guess.
  2. Personally, I would suggest taking fin at night before you go to bed and seeing how you respond. Wake up with a pitched tent, for instance, and you'll realize it's all in your head. If you still experience sides, then there is a topical solution many around here have found success with. I would also suggest minox, but given your hair loss that might not be worthwhile. The skill of a surgeon is the largest contributing factor, but the good ones cost money to see. You need to ask yourself if that investment is worthwhile for you and again, you're at least a two procedure patient, imo. Apologies if the delivery comes off as mean; I'm not being mean. I'm just giving honest advice so you can make the best decision for yourself. Good luck.
  3. Hey man I saw your pics ... The truth is you will require several procedures, need to hop on meds and should absolutely go FUT/FUT for your first two. I'd go as far as saying this is non negotiable for you. I understand that you are looking at cost, but that needs to be removed from your equation. Speak with respected surgeons, get estimates and then look at cost before making a choice. To help narrow your search, start by speaking with doctors who have a proven track record performing FUT. It's unlikely you will find many in Turkey, though I'm sure some exist. Really do your due diligence on these docs. That means searching for patient posted reviews and ignoring results posted by the doctor on social media, their website, etc. The reality is doing this right will cost you more than whatever it is that you want to spend. That likely means waiting longer to have your first procedure. You have significant hair loss so this won't be a one and done thing. If this doesn't sound ideal, then it might be best not to get a surgery altogether. I'm not trying to be mean. Sincerely providing you with critical information so you can make the right choice. Good luck.
  4. I think it will. At 90 days it really seemed like nothing was happening. It's wild how the whole process works tbh haha
  5. That's insane results man. Didn't know it could look that good. Where did you go for your HT? I've never seen scars like that.
  6. Yesterday! Congrats man. I started noticing growth at about the 3.5 mark. Just got better each day after.
  7. Hey all — just a friendly heads up this is not a review and that I won't be posting updates, additional pics, etc etc. I'll do that when everything is complete, which is probably another 7-10 months from now (I'll be filling in my scar w/ Dr. K in about 3-6 weeks from now). Any who. Just got my first real haircut since procedure. I previously had gotten two haircuts, but went to low key small ethnic barber shops to mostly clean up sides, etc, for Zoom calls. I went back to my barber for this one (makes a huge difference). That said, I gotta say I'm thrilled with results so far. And I don't think the real magic will happen for another 2 months or so. Dr. K legit changed my life. Just look at where I was about 10 years ago to where I am today. Also got a hot date this weekend, too 😁 I've been taking meds since my first procedure I want to say nine years ago? First procedure tackled frontal half, FUT, 4400 graphs or so in 2012. Second procedure was in Nov. 2020 and placed about 1500 in back and 1000 in front. Meds work wonders but eventually, the back caught up to me and when it went it pretty much all went out the door. I'm currently using concealer for the back, but that's legit a five minute ordeal now. I'm confident that it's going to come in looking great. Still, for about 4 months the back has come in strong (It's been 127 days since procedure, though picture below is 120 days, or four months). Also included is a 90 day pic from the back to give you guys an idea of where I was previously at. Front has certainly been coming in at a much faster rate. Sometimes, I swear, that I notice growth when I go to bed when compared to the morning. Maybe eyes playing tricks? I've been thinking about what a "great HT" means ... The description I came up with is this: "A great HT means you can style your hair, walk out the door with full confidence that you look good, in five minutes or less." I also took pics out in the sun today and the realization hit me that Dr. K legit delivered and gave me what I hoped for. Anyway. Dr. K is the best in the world. Thanks for looking. EDIT: I should note, that's harsh lighting for these pics.
  8. Not true. A lot of people just ordering their HT on Amazon Prime now. Often times it arrives in two days, sometimes even same day.
  9. Yiddo makes solid points. idk if you have to wait until you're 30, though 26 is about as early as I would recommend getting work done. Click on my link in the signature. At about 26 I was like you; at 30 I lost a hell of a lot more hair. I didn't start meds till I was 30 because I thought they didn't work. I was wrong. Sides are overstated on this forum. Take fin at night before you go to bed and it's outta your head when you wake up next day. Anyway ... all of this essentially comes down to your crown/vertex. If you end up keeping it for most of your adult life, you will be fine with this move, though you will no doubt need another procedure in 5-8 years, imo. I'm sure it's too late to change your mind, but the right play is taking fin daily and applying minox 2x/day + doing FUT for your first procedure to max out your donor supply. This advice will make sense when you're 35. I'm sure you're going to look great after this procedure. Good luck.
  10. Agreed. It does look super clean. Basically, you just have to wait. And then you'll be thrilled with your results like literally every patient here who sees Dr K/Dr N. Big picture, seeing someone like Dr. K's team allows you to plan for this sort of thing as you age, which is paramount, but often overlooked but a lot of patients seeking their first HT.
  11. You've* got a great head of hair already. Unsure what styles you're thinking but my gut tells me you'll be fine in terms of styles. You won't have a head of hair like you did when you were 15, though.
  12. You went to the very best in the world 🙌 Work looks super clean. Friend of mine went to Dr. N and got a similar graft count. A+ results. All you have to do now is play the waiting game. I hit 4 months in two days and have already seen solid growth. You're in good hands.
  13. That's probably the case for a lot of people around here, but, you know, we like to check our hair under the brightest and harshest light from all angles 😂
  14. I just started using this, Billy Jealously. It's like a wax(?) but basically it gives you the ability to shape your hair with volume without the negative effects of gel, or other waxes that create a see through look. This stuff is also incredible, it's a shine spray. Gives appearance that your hair is totally geled. The downside is that it neutralizes things like hair spray, so after you apply it, apply some hair spray for hold. American Crew light hold gel is also a staple in my bathroom. Lately, though, I've been mostly using the Billy Jealously stuff. Switched to that after using Melvin's Redken Maneuver (which has since been rebranded to something else) forever. Billy Jealously gives the apperance of dry hair while also giving you a lot of flexibility in terms of shape, volume. Another product I've been using, and honestly love, is .Tint Brand I like it a lot more than Dermatch. So much easier and less messy to apply. Love out portable it is, too. If you're a fan of Dermatch I highly suggest you check out Tint Brand. Odds are you'll use it even if you're a fan of Dermatch; it could also work as something to apply when you want to quickly run out the door and not deal with wetting, applying, blow drying of Dermatch. Still tinkering around with my hair following second procedure. It's gotten a lot thicker after just nearly four months (114 days) and I'm trying to figure out best way to style right now. It's sorta fun, but also expensive as I'm buying a lot of products on a whim to try out.
  15. If you could share a pic of the back of your donor that would be helpful. Perhaps most helpful is to know which doctors you are considering. Firing from the hip ... 4K+ would go to the front half, adding something like 500-600 in the hands of a skilled surgeon to the back would certainly help. You would, of course, require another procedure in the future to achieve full or near full coverage. If you're shooting for something like 5K for full coverage in one shot I'd argue you might be be spreading yourself too thin. Nearly everyone here would also likely suggest you go FUT first to max out your donor supply; I'm unsure why you would be tapping into beard this early if your donor is solid. The great surgeons guide you through this planning process. I did about 4,400 FUT in my first procedure, but I also responded very well to fin, minox. Regardless, you should hop on those if you already haven't; the hair you do have makes a significant difference post transplant.
  16. Dr. F be posting some A+ procedures. Legit amazing. Thanks for posting on this site.
  17. Feriduni is among the few top tier surgeons out there. It doesn't get discussed enough, but included in the cost of seeing a top tier surgeon is the peace of mind that you have nothing to worry about; patience is all that's required. I'm always surprised when people opt to not work with the very best. If you're getting a HT then you're obviously insecure about your hair. Why gamble on having a poor result in exchange for saving a few dollars? More often than not it ends up costing you more (as shown here). I really like your mentality of how you handled the situation by accepting your mistake and then taking the right action to remedy your problem. No doubt you will be happy with your results. Aside, can you show us final results from the previous clinic? It's hard to see what the issue was from the pics shown. Thanks and happy growing brother —
  18. Which specific Aveda products? I'm at the stage of my HT journey where I'm playing around with different products. For a while I've been using American Crew light hold gel + some hair spray to hold.
  19. i feel like you guys are overthinking it. I get 1mg of generic fin delivered to my house for about $20 for a 90 day supply. I keep the pills in the bottle in the cabinet. It's not rocket science. To each their own.
