  1. @Zoomster No, my part is on the left and then I move over to the right
  2. I did yes. The best thing you can do is follow the post op advice perfectly. Even though cosmetic, your body has still undergone a major surgery and you need to be able to rest/relax, ice, elevate and take your medication. It will set you up really well for success.
  3. For me the medication pre op and post op did wonders. I had 2 FUT's.No pain during the surgery but the biggest nuisance was discomfort. You're trying to get into a comfortable position after laying still for several hours and the same can also be said for sleeping. Though to your point Melvin some general discomfort from healing. The sutures/staples were annoying but a necessary evil to ensure proper healing.
  4. I would add that it's a journey. You'll need to look into medications like Finasteride and minoxidil to maintain your hair and have healthy habits. A transplant is a right step but its up to the person to do the maintenance.
  5. @Melvin-Moderator One team one dream. Especially when it comes to hair restoration lol
  6. Hey, here's my journey and it sounds pretty close to what you're looking for. Let me know if you have any questions.
  7. Failed hair transplant. There's been some real unfortunate disfigurement and complete failures shown on here that no one should ever have to go through.
  8. Yes, I didn't document it like this but can provide before & after pictures
  9. I'm very pleased with everything and was fortunate to see early results. I am done for now and hopefully I won't need another, fingers crossed.
  10. It's not FDA approved for hairloss like Finasteride is. What types of doctors were you going to?
  11. It's your life and you can choose how to live it. I would recommend talking to your doctor about your medication routine as it sounds like you've become your own pharmacist. I'd also encourage to get finasteride or dutasteride from reputable suppliers and not the bargain company online who could be sending out dummy pills for all you know.
  12. You're welcome. You'll have the advantage with the recliner also to keep from rolling around. Hope your surgery goes great!
  13. I think that's a great choice. I received a hospital grade one which was honestly fine as well. You just need something to protect your head/grafts when you move to get comfortable when trying to sleep. You'll be pretty tired from the surgery, medications etc so feel confident in knowing that.
  14. First time was a little over 2000 grafts and this last time was 2200.
  15. I would recommend asking your surgeon which method they prefer for the area that will be targeted and also ask about future donor. I've had two FUT transplants and my scar isn't visible and I still have an adequate amount left to utilize if needed.
  16. Please do yourself a favor and don't go. Bosley has a horrendous reputation in the hair industry. Look at one of the recommended clinics on this site but please stay as far away as you can from Bosley.
  17. Why would anyone encourage someone to go to a hair mill? Do you really want to be the 20th patient on the table after a 12 hour workday? Playing Russian Roulette with not only your donor but your life as well? Doctors and techs are people too, they make mistakes but this is easy to avoid.
  18. Excellent points Melvin. I would also add comparing yourself to where others are at in the process/how they look and also getting off medication/rogaine after the transplant. So many people think a transplant is a cure all but you still need to be on medication as the transplanted hair can fall out if you don't take care of it properly.
