  1. That makes sense.... But the Dr made me chance to taking the full 5 MG dose at once. Do you take finesteride as well?
  2. That's what I have tabs that are 2.5 And I was splitting them up like youre, but then dr told me that I domt need to do that, and just take the 2 tabs in the morning once a day.
  3. Yeah 5mg was prescribed by Dr Mwamba to me.
  4. My hair transplant Dr prescribed 5mg oral minoxidil. Ive seen others on reddit say that take 5mg too.
  5. Good video. 👍👍👍 What about ingrown hairs in the beard donor area? I haven't heard you mention getting any, but many others have. I'm currently experiencing some ingrown hairs in my beard donor area, due to recent BHT, and trying to find the best way to treat them.
  6. It does sound like too much to me too. I don't hear about anyone else taking 5mg. Thx.
  7. I was prescribed oral minoxidil. They come in 2.5 MG pills, and although the prescription said 2 times a day, I was taking it once in the morning, and doing the topical Minoxidil at night. But when I talked to my dr, she told me that I'm supposed to take 2 pills (5mg) once a day and stop doing the topical. Is anyone else taking 5mg?
  8. Interesting that the smp didn't last long. It looked so perfect too when you showed those pics. And you're going again to Dr Mwamba.... Does he hook you up, cause you've been there so many times and the free advertising you do for him. When I was there this week for my HT, I told him it was cause of you that I'm here, and he was like, "ah yes, Mustang".
  9. You really need to be one at least or both. That's probably why Dr Mwamba wanted to do the prp. You probably have so many hairs that are stuck in that sleeping phase/miniaturized. I speak from experience. I was on the meds, had multiple HTs and was led to beleive transplanted hairs don't fall out. Well, they do, and they did for me when I stopped everything for over a hair. So last year I hit my hair with the kitchen sink: minoxidil, finesteride, revita shampoo, the right vitamins and Derma rolling. In 6 months I saw a huge difference.
  10. If you want topical fin, there are a couple companies that you can order from like tonight. Strut and For Hims are a couple. The side effects are known to be less then oral. And i hope you're on minoxidil... I know it's a hassle, but that comes in oral form now. You can take one 5mg pill in the morning and your good. They Def make a difference. Good luck bro.
  11. Good luck man.. I see you don't want to try finesteride cause your 50, but even a low dose or a topical is key. I take 1mg a day, but there are compound pharmacies that can give you lower doses.
  12. I don't remember any discussion about miniaturization. They just showed me that one example and told me I should continue the treatments I'm doing, minoxidil/finesteride.
  13. Thx to Mustang, I reached out to Dr Mwamba and had my surgery with with him this past Monday and Tues in New Jersey. He rents out a room from a dermatologist office, and in this office they did use a microscope.... And they actually let me look in the microscope to show me how one of my triples had a hair follicle in a different growth phase then the others. (I forgot the terminology, anogen phase?). They then proceeded to separate some triples and doubles because he needed more singles for the Hairline. I'm pretty sure they did it under the microscope. And if discounts are that important to you... Dr Mwamba offers a nice discount if you give permission to let him use your pics. The pics block out your eyes/face. But even without the discount, he still has a very reasonable price especially being one of the top surgeons out there.
  14. I regret getting FUT. I had to fill in that scar by fue twice, and the scar is still noticible enough that I can't do a regular fade haircut, only low cut fades. I would never recommend anyone get an FUT.
  15. 👍👍👍👍👍 Looks great man. Congrats. You won the hair loss battle. Thx to your story and Mustang, I see Dr Mwamba Monday for my surgery.
  16. 2 days. Day 1 is 1000 scalp Day 2 is 500 beard. (but I think I'm going to up to 1000)
  17. He hides the face in just about all his pics. But I made it extra clear to him to hide my face. I like to remain anonymous. I'll be doing mine in NJ. Jan 31, Feb 1.
  18. Are you taking your shot of test once a week?
  19. I think I will show before and after pics this time. Dr Mwamba gives a discount if you let him use your before and after pics on his website. I took the discount.
  20. Bro. Looking at your donor pics, You don't look like you had a HT. And looking at your other pics, doesn't look like you need a HT. But good luck. I'm also going to Dr Mwamba beginning of Feb.
  21. So I stopped taking oral finesteride because me and the wifey are going to try and have another baby and our fertility Dr told me I should stop finesteride. So, I've been really interested in taking topical finesteride, due to less/no side effects. I reached out to Dr Mwamba to see if I can get a prescription for topical finesteride, but he said I should sustain from oral and topical finesteride if I'm trying to have a baby. So. That sucks. Although Hasson & Wong's new finasteride topical gel sounds great.... Its probably better to stay away from finesteride if you plan on having babies in the near future.
  22. Hey Melvin... What do you use post surgery on grafts. I know some dr's just recommend any saline/ocean spray, and some dr sell their own product. I came across one Dr recommending a new product, Vitalise wound care spray. https://www.energy-delivery-solutions.com/order-form-vitalise
  23. Hahaha... Like you.. I've checked out just about every case of beard grafts being used too. I go for my HT end of the month and cases like Bailey99, and now Melvin, have convinced me I should go for 1000 beard grafts instead of 500.
