  1. For sure. im not a post-finasteride syndrome person i swear lol. i've just worked with my primary care doctor, dermatologist and rheumatologist on trying to figure out where finasteride has fit in to my autoimmune progression and finasteride has been the only medication change during the time of symptoms returning. again, could be coincidence but just throwing out my experience while trying out xyon, not trying to fear monger. @ciaus aging is definitely a hard change to accept, but im in good shape, 30 years old and i mentioned in my previous comment that Ive been talking this through with an actual rheumatologist. obviously my experience isn't a majority, but it definitely was a special case to warrant trying Hasson's new topical with supposedly less systemic absorption
  2. oh dang. you already decided to stop the Xyon topical too? @BurnieBurns - joint swelling, stiff hands/fingers, body aching. there arent many reported instances of fin causing autoimmune issues or worsening, so that's why im trying to narrow down the cause more. the only correlation that my rheum proposed was maybe im super sensitive and the hormonal fluctuations cause a flare. for shits and giggles, i first tried oral fin 2 years ago and then stopped after 3 months because i started getting my autoimmune symptoms for the first time and had to be diagnosed. could just be coincidence.. but very annoying.
  3. I am stopping with the xyon topical today. I was using half a pump every morning and thought it was not going to give me any sides, but less than a week into using it, my autoimmune symptoms flared up (havent flared in almost a year). I didnt get any sexual side effects and Ive been using it for two weeks. Going to approach it methodically and stop the Xyon topical.. see if my symptoms improve/go away before trying microdosing with xyon again to make sure its the cause. @GrowNewHair what other brand(s) were you using for micro-dosing and what strength, mate? I might have to follow suit.
  4. @mustang - was this the liposome topical fin from Dr. Hasson?
  5. Just want to say that every comment thus far has been SUPER insightful and I feel so much more comfortable in my decision making after joining this site just a few days ago. I keep adding more notes and questions to ask during consults each day 😆 Also @jceaves, you were blessed with a great face for the bald look but cheers on your results with Hasson. It looks so good.
  6. @Melvin- Moderator - That's a nice offer! Do you know how we can get that? I haven't taken fin in over two years.
  7. @JC71 @Melvin- Moderator - do you know if consulting with these doctors means emailing/chatting with them one on one? For Hasson, it all feels very informal and I only communicate through an associate and an assistant all the way up until booking... whereas with Konior, I am personally emailing him and he's evaluating my pics himself. I'm not sure what standard to hold for these consults.
  8. Thanks for lettings us know @InTheSix. I went through Xyon and the turn around from submitting my request to getting it at my door was around two weeks. If you're using the new topical formulation already... do you currently have any sides?
  9. To be fair, Hasson did address this during his interview with @Melvin- Moderator. Basically the first topical they sold was simply compounded finasteride and they found it giving their patients sides (although less than oral) still even with liposomes. Supposedly this formulation addresses those gaps for the "most" part in which they cant claim there's no side effects but they have none reported from their patients using it thus far. Mine just came in the mail and I'll start using it MWF to start. Nice interview btw, Melvin... no disrespect to Dr. Hasson but I did have to speed it up x2 to get through it all. 😅
  10. @JC71 Awesome, thanks. If it's still true that Konior is one patient a day and owns the surgery throughout instead of relying on techs.. then the higher price definitely seems justified.
  11. @JC71 Do you happen to know how much he's charging nowadays? I read he charged $13 per graft for FUEs back in 2020... didn't know there were Dr.'s charging more than Hasson & Wong! 🤯
  12. Thanks for all the great suggestions and thoughts, mates. I totally agree and realize how vague my ask was lol. Given these other considerations, I narrowed it down to Hasson and Rahal still... except I'm leaning towards Rahal because my primary goal right now is reconstructing my hairline and temples conservatively (keep a healthy donor amount for another surgery in the future). However, I am concerned with Dr. Rahal over two things: Dr. Rahal seems to have better results with FUT procedures, which he does not do anymore. I read one post on reddit claiming that a past patient had 3 different botched FUE surgeries with him and got a full refund. Do you guys think Rahal is good with FUEs still? I had trouble finding good, recent FUE results from patients... Maybe I'll do more research into Konior. Also, Hasson is great for megasessions (prob choose him in the future), but is he just as good with hairlines? Thanks again.
  13. Hi guys- I am looking to have a hair transplant in the next year and I initially decided on Dr. Hasson in Canada, but then I discovered this site and now I am unsure. Hoping you can help me decide. I am looking for the most reputable, skilled surgeon who's available in the US or Canada... the ones that come to my mind are: Hasson Rahal Nakatsui Diep Can you help me rank those or any other guys I'm missing who you recommend? Hasson is the most expensive it seems, but Rahal's results look very impressive and comparable to be honest. Regardless, I will definitely pay the expensive price over having a bad surgery. Thanks in advance.
  14. Just throwing it out there that I didn't have big sides when I was on oral fin - other than occasional ball ache. However, I stopped because I slowly developed an autoimmune condition three months after fin - doctors say its unrelated, but there are well-established studies confirming that androgen hormones have immunoregulatory functions - while other studies use DHT supplementation as adjunct therapies for certain autoimmune diseases. Although there's not direct study with finasteride proving causation of an autoimmune condition, I am going to proceed with this topical with caution
  15. Nice, keep us posted @Tiger2050. I just ordered mine and plan to start with microdosing - applying MWF. Hoping to find out when the topical dutasteride will be out though..
