  1. Looks great.... Homerun. How short you think your hair is on the sides? I'm afraid to get shorter then #3 on clippers. I feel the fue wound he noticeable.
  2. Looks like a homerun, and the crown filled it really good. Congrats. Best money you probably ever spent on yourself.
  3. I've had 6 in total. I had a huge setback 2 years ago year when I stopped fin/min, thats why I needed a HT repair job with Dr Mwamba. I learned the hard way that, for me, these meds are for life, and transplanted hairs can fall out too.
  4. Hopefully you have a great end result, but if you don't, now that you posted here and got the spotlight on your experience, I'm sure Dr Hasson will personally do the extra work and make sure you're happy with the end result. And if Melvin and anyone else is ok paying top dollar to have techs doing the majority of the work while having the Dr monitoring the surgery progress/end result by pictures while he's at his office or sipping margaritas at his house, then cool. But this is information that should be provided and shared by this community. I've been to 3 different Dr's. (2) FUT - Dr Dorin NY - surgically removed the strip, put the stitches in and then did all the incisions, the techs placed all the grafts. Dr checked in during the process and we talked afterwards. (3) FUE - Dr Nader MÉXICO - performed graft extractions and all the incisions, and the techs placed all the grafts. Dr checked in during the process and we talk afterwards. (1) FUE - Dr Mwamba NJ - performed majority of all the work. He had 1 tech that helped him at times when he would take very short breaks.
  5. I good beard surgeon like Dr Mwamba, could do a small surgery and extract 300-500 beard grafts from lower beard area and put it right in that scar and make it disappear. The beard donor area will then heal up after a week, and it will look like it was never touched. Either way..... Your HT is a homerun. I lived the strip scar for almost 10 years before I had it filled in.
  6. Agreed.... Definitely it's personal preference, and I feel only the best doctors can do the surgery without shaving. I've gotten 2 HTs by Dr Dorin in NYC and was given the choice not to shave, and recently had another one by Dr Mwamba, and did not have to shave. It speaks more to the skill/experience of the Dr.
  7. Looking forward to next uodate. I feel by month 4-6 months are when I've seen the biggest difference in growth.
  8. Sounds like you had the perfect plan going in, but it was changed last minute. Eugenix are and should take responsibility for the crown work they did and make the effort to amend the situation somehow. Maybe move a good majority of those beard grafts on crown to the donor area and use grafts from donor area to crown. I know one guy, Mustang, continues using grafts from his donor area for the top of head , while replenishing donor area with beard grafts. His dr is Mwamba. I used Dr Mwamba too for repair work on me. He is really really good.
  9. Looks great. Crown is looking much better. Not sure if you had hair fibers in the 6 month video update or just in that pic. What clippers size do you use for your sides and back when you get a haircut?
  10. I had to look up what size on the clippers 14mm is... So it's around #4. My HT with Dr Mwamba so far, so good.... Buts it's only been 4 1/2 months. Have to thx Mustang for making this thread. Dr Mwamba worked mirace for me.
  11. Still looks great. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ You really cut it short. What is this on the clippers... Size 1/2? Dr Mwamba did a repair job to my donor area 4 months ago... I can't cut it any shorter then #3 because I feel the fue scars are noticible.
  12. I don't know why he put me in 10mg daily... I've seen others on Reddit that take 10mg daily. I'm 46, I keep in shape and I'm healthy. I check my blood pressure and it's good. I hear side effects can be excessive hair which I'm ok with. I'm on 1mg finesteride and 10mg oral minoxidil.... And I still have some shedding. I see some people take finesteride and dutasteride ... They take dut mon/wed/Friday and fin the others days. I'm thinking I should do that.
  13. I've switched over to oral minoxidil and have been in it for a little over 6 months.. I feel topical worked better for me. I still have some shedding... I was given a prescription of 10mgs of oral minoxidil a day. (I know it seems high, but that is what Dr Mwamba prescribed) I'm thinking of doing 5 MG oral a day and go back to adding topical .... Want to help me out... You Thoughts?
  14. If you don't mind me asking. Are you taking topical or oral dutasteride, and how much? Thanks.
  15. Fin and minox are the only ones FDA approved. There are vitamins that I take like biotin and saw palmetto.... And then there's the keto shampoo, micro needling and laser caps.
  16. Looks about right for 3 months. The next 3 months should see great growth. And damn you good great hair on top. πŸ‘πŸ‘
  17. I posted a couple pics on this threat about a month ago... Heres another one 16 weeks post op. Just posting the hairline since it's comparable to the work that was done to PURPLECOBRA. Dr Mwamba also did repair job to my donor area and filled in crown.
  18. How you making out? How's that Hairline comijg along? I'm 16 weeks post op from Dr Mwamba... I did the Hairline similar to yours but only 600 grafts... A lot of the new grafts from the hairline have sprouted for me... I was a little worried there but I have faith things will get even better.
