  1. Ithink part of the problem is your native hair is so dense that it makes the transplated hair obvious. . Bit it looks good otherwise.
  2. You can't go wrong with Dr. Alexander. He does some of the best temple/hairline work I have seen. I just had my 2nd round with Dr. Alexander & I am very happy. Yours sonds like an easy fix. Good luck, ATOMIC
  3. Great list! We are all partial to our Doc's especially if we are happy with them. That's going to be a tough choice that you will need to narrow down to the one that most fits your criteria for a HT. IE: Hairline, crown work or both, location of clinic, shave or not, Staples or sutures, etc... Being 3 days out from my second procrdure with Dr. Alexander I highly recommend him as he is a talented surgeon who is extremely ethical. I trust him 100%. Good luck moving foward & feel free to contact me. Atomic
  4. Al, I also went to Dr. Alexander in Phoenix & my opinion may be biased because I am a big fan of Dr. Alexander. That being said, I am very happy with my experience with Dr. Alexander & his staff. He does's give travel & lodging discounts. I know there are many good surgeons in the HT network but I can only speak from my experience with Dr. Alaexander & I can highly recommend him. Best of luck! Atomic
  5. Joekidd, i'm sure there is a scar I should say that I can't find it & my hairstylist who is my wife can't find it. I'm not saying it's not there but I can't find it.
  6. Contemplating, I had a HT with Dr. Alexander in Phoenix. He is first rate, you can't go wrong with him. I'm sure he offers a discount for travel too. Good luck!, Atomic
  7. Pedro, Dr. Alexander does do 3,000 per session depending on your characteristics. I am sure you will be overwhelmingly happy with Dr. Alexander compared with your previous Bosley transplants. He does dense packing, leaves no scar & an undetectable natural hairline. Good luck, ATomic
  8. Pedro, I live in the Phx. area & I had my surgery done about 3 years ago with Dr. Scott Alexander in Phoenix who is recommended here. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great surgeon right here in Arizona. I am looking foward to going back for my second round with Dr. Aleander this year. Get yourself an consultation with him, you can't go wrong with Dr. Alexander. I hope to buy a vacation house in Flag. I love it up there! Atomic
  9. It is ok to mention the Doctors name especially if he or she is recommernded here. Please share.
  10. Icing wont help because the swelling is from the injected fluids that migrate down into your face. Gently massage the swollen areas to help push them down & diminish them.
  11. Nate, I think the longer you can hold out the better. Some guys are to young & will have problems in the future. I speak from experience as I am 52 years old & continue to loose hair. I had my HT about 3 years ago. I really didn't have much to loose at that point. Thats the best time to get a HT.
  12. My advice is you can't go wrong with Dr. Alexander. Schedule a consultation with the man.
  13. While u may not have done any damage to the 10 day old grafts it is still not recommended to let your scalp get burned. The scalp is sensitive to the sun & skin cancer of the scalp is fairly common especially in fair skinned people with thinning hair. I know it looks good to tan your scalp because it really cuts down the contrast betwwen hair & scalp. But you really should cover up & protect your scalp from the sun in the future. I think you will be fine otherwise. Good luck! Atomic
  14. There are some clinics who use or recommend laser treatments, but Dr. Feller shamed them into not admitting it.
  15. TTP, I think the new work looks spectacular! I hope to be seeing Dr. Alexander as soon as I have the opportunity for my 2nd round with him too. Congrats! Atomic
  16. I had friends who intentionally embaraased me about my hairloss in public in front of friends/peers. One of them is no longer a friend & the other will never do that to me again in public! Of course I was pissed off & once I got him alone I told him that if he ever did that to me again, that I would reach across the table & grab him by his throat! And a few other things I shouted at him. Proiblem solved. Do not come out on face book or anything like that. Do you know how many things are said behind our backs? Not just about hairloss. So forget about those guys & forget it ever happened. If you want to remain friends with them then put them in thier place by telling them what bothers you. If not, move on. They are just imature kids.
  17. LOL Phxind!I know what you mean by "Hoping for a miracle!" I was also hoping for a miracle. My case is very similar to yours. But hey, looking at it now it really is a miracle! It is looking good Phxnd. Enjoy yourt new look!
  18. I know Dr. Scott Alexander in Phoenix charges a flat 4.00 per graft & pays traveling expense. And his hairlines are great. I am sure you can find other good doctors on here that will do the same.
  19. I think you need at least 1500. Keep in mind that results vary from patient to patient & Doctor to Doctor. So there are a lot of factors to consider when looking at the number of grafts needed, it is based on the individual's hairloss, hair characteristics etc... You should pay about $6,000.00 for 1500 grafts.
  20. I used Rogaine when it first came out & you still had to have a prescription for it. It gave me palpitations too. I just never used it again.
