  1. Old guy here! I am 51 & started gradually loosing my hair since my mid twenties, I mean it was gradual. It has even progressed over the last 5 years in the crown area & slowly continues to do so. I am not one of those who went from having hair to poof NW7. It's been a slow & painful (mentally) process. No meds for me. just 1 transplant so far & I am much happier than before my HT.
  2. No scar. It is totaly & completely undetectable. My wife who is a hairstylist was coloring my hair a few nights ago & could not see the scar at all. As far as am I happy with my results the answer is yes & no. I have a hairline that frames my face which I didn't have before, NW6+) but my hair is baby fine & I wish I had more density. I am going back for #2 & hope to achieve that. But no worries as far as the scar goes.
  3. Nice work! Any shock since you had work done in diffused thin hair? Looks awesome!
  4. Drew, Thats incredible! Can't wait to see your results! Bet you cant either... Enjoy your vacation & dream about the hair you will soon have! Atomic
  5. Everyones situation is different. It was somewhat of an EZ call for me. 1)I wore a hat ALL of the time in public anyways so if it didn't work...keep wearing the hat. 2) My age of 50. I lost most of what I was going to loose so...nothing to loose! 3) I hated the way I looked, so it couldn't be worse. So it depends on your age, your current hairloss & many other factors. Good luck whatever you decide.
  6. Travel across the pond to see Dr. Feller in New York for FUE. A true pioneer in FUE techniques. He is listed on this network. Good luck mate!
  7. Kaounis got it right with this answer... More from the peanut gallery...
  8. Probably not a good idea that soon after a HT. But if you have had a HT its best to check with your Dr.
  9. I think my advice is much more prudent than yours given this young mans age. I hope he does not follow your advice about considering another HT. Of course this is just my opinion.
  10. Absoloutley, positively wait it out. You are to young & you have a long road ahead. If everything is looking good now don't let it bother you if you are loosing some. Hairtransplants can also cause shockloss & may actually accelerate your MPB if that is what you are experiencing. Hairtarnsplants do not help you maintain the hair you have. Let it go until you develop some actual balding of your scalp that affects your appearance. You may very well wish one day you had those transplants back to use when you will really need them. Stay away from the HT doctors for now & stop worrying about your hairloss completely.
  11. Chris, If your Dermotologist has determined that there are no signs of MPB & your hair doesn't appear to be thinning, forget about it. And I mean that literally! Don't think about it, don't tug on it, don't check your comb or your shower drain. MPB is obvious once it begins. Get on with your life, you ae young only once. Time will come to worry about alot of things as you age. So don't waste time, energy or money worrying now. It is a waste of precious youth! Take it from me, I am 51 yr's old.
  12. Always contact your Dr. first prior to lodging a complaint. This paints the Dr. in a bad light before he/she has had an opportunity to address the problem & offer a possible solution. Most of the coaltion Doctors here take great pride in thier work & should be given the opportunity to make it right if you are not satisfied. I know In my business as a contractor I want my customers to give me that opportunity before lodging a complaint with the Registrar of Contractors.
  13. Think of the HT network as the masters tournament. They are all Pro's & Tiger might win this year & another pro might win next year. You are picking amongst pro's when you choose a Doc from The HT network.
  14. Great idea Dr. Alexander! It's always nice to know you are accessible. I just became a follower today! Atomic ( Tom )
  15. Balboa, Dr. Alexander should be a consideration for great hairline work.
  16. Marie, I had a HT with Dr. Alexander almost 2 years ago & I am very happy with his work. He is an excellent HT surgeon. PM me if you have any questions. Atomic
  17. Ricardo, Abendog is =right about the cost of FUE. You should seriously consider Dr. Alexander in Phoenix if you sre looking for an excellent surgeon close to Mexico. And he pays some of your travel & hotel expense.
  18. Justin, Congrats on your HT with Dr.Alexander! I am also a happy patient of Dr. Alexander for all the reasons you posted. Everything worked out great for me in terms of growth & minimal to no evidence of a scar, as I am sure it will be for you. 3200 grafts is going to make a huge difference for you. I can't wait to go back to Dr. Alexander for Round 2! Happy Growing Brother! Atomic
  19. I found that a "Structured baseball hat" worked like a dome over my scalp & made no comtact with my fresh grafts & really helped to protect them.
  20. I paid $4.00 per graft with Dr. Alexander in 2007. I am going for #2 with him soon and he still charges $4.00 per graft. Great price for a great surgeon!
  21. Guys, you have a long ways to go yet. Don't worry. Mine actually continued to thicken even after 12 months! with 3200 grafts I'm sure you will be happy. Who was your Doc? Happy growing!
  22. Wolfman, The good thing is that you still appear young. I think thats why a lot of us get a HT, to remain youthful looking. You have no problem there, hair or no hair. And yes you are lucky guy, your wife is a very pretty girl! Congrats & thanks for your success story.
