Definately the plugginess and HT contrast, I can see it myself. Tbh I kind of expected people I know to notice somethings different, its when the eyes of perfect strangers keep darting up, thats when you know somethings not right.

That's what I thought, I planned to get the temple point plugs removed, some kind of scar repair and perhaps a few FU's to soften the minigrafts at the temples, what I got was an 1800 graft strip, totally not what i'd originally planned for.

I would'nt volunteer the fact i've had a HT but whenever i've been asked if i've had plugs, i've been honest and said yes. This honesty backfired recently however, when a female colleague who I'd thought of as a friend not asked, but told me 'you've had hair plugs' when I sheepishly admitted that I had, she screeched, reeeaaalllyy! and walk off sniggering. That hurt, and i've not spoken to her since.

My biggest problem is the temple points, Norton put minigrafts in them! I wanted these cored out, instead they were dense packed, apparently they could'nt be removed, they now look terrible and impossible to disguise.

Hi Dan, many of the grafts placed during the 2nd HT failed to grow, I dont know why for sure, possibly because of scar tissue from Norton? consequently all I see are scars and plugs and no real improvement. Secondly the ht doesnt match the native hair, much thicker much darker, stands out and screams fake, Thirdly, the scar is a problem, visible when hair is wet and anything less than a grade 5 clipper, the rest of my hair is thinning so looks better shorter, i cant do this because the scar will show and I hate the mullet look. I dont know how I would have looked without the first HT, because its all I can see, I would say my second HT was a failure but unfortunately I cant blame the clinic because they will say say its because the first one was a screw up. Im angry because I was told it was an easy repair and would look perfect, i was also told that the old plugs could'nt be removed because they would shear off, which I now believe is not true. Had I been warned that the repair could fail because of scar tissue, I definately would'nt have risked it.

$6k in a day? I suspect the top clinics make 3 times that mate..

Dan, I presume you mean me, Slaps? if not apologies if so;- 2, 1 poorly performed, 1 correctly performed, neither satisfactory to me. The first was the Norton clinic who I name because they I believe they are dangerous, the second I won't name because presently I suspect they perform HTs correctly according to industry standards so I see no purpose in warning properly informed people from using them. Having said this, I am currently anti HT so share my personal experience to provide research material for those looking into HTs. Like I've said before, Its not important to me that im perceived mad, bitter, negative or a liar. Im just a faceless cyber entity calling itself slaps. People are free to think what they like of me

Of course not sparky, HTs are grotesquely expensive imo, its been my experience that most of work is performed by techs earning probably $20-$30 per hour. In my case not a single graft was transplanted by the surgeon, not one. As far as im concerned since the techs performed the actions of preparing the grafts then transplanting them, technically, they did my HT. The surgeon spent no more then 1hr making incisions, about 15 minutes removing the strip and 1 minute stapling the wound. A further 45 minutes was spent waiting for the anaesthetic to effect.

Has anyone seen a result from this machine? i saw a youtube vid of it and it looked impressive, providing it does'nt ruin the grafts I dont see how it would be any less effective than regular FUE, the incisions are still made by a hand. Im led to believe the incisions are the key to a successful HT.

I've found a good way of making my hair appear and feel much thicker, i get some hair wax, eg dax, massage it liberally into my hair, at this point it looks awful but then i sprinkle talc on to the wax coated hair rub it in and then comb it through, to be honest it does make my hair looks a little matty and very slightly grey but very natural and effective. Plus its extremely cheap, honestly, i've tried every product on the market and this has worked best for me. Word of warning though, the wax is very difficult to wash out, you will need a vegetable oil shampoo to shift it.

Thanks Dan, I dont mind at all being perceived as bitter and twisted, its a condition I acquired during my HT journey, if those considering a HT happen to read my comments and contemplate the risk that they may wind up bitter and twisted then they serve as valuable research material.:cool: Im afraid im not optimistic about FUE in scar tissue, i dont tend to feel the grafts take well or grow naturally, in my case the recipient area is a mass of thick lumpy scar tissue which looks as bad shaved as it does with HT pubes growing from it, I know I can never look normal again. I get the impression Alan Feller is angry with John Malloy, thats too bad, he was happy to take Johns money and in doing so, the risk that John would be dissappointed and vocal about it.

... I would like this explained. I have heard it is possible, but unlikely. Now it is expected? Why would anyone have a second procedure if a streched scar is expected? Because HT is a prison, once you've had one procedure your locked in, as you keep losing hair you will need more procedures. You've no choice unless you want to look a freak.

Hi John, thanks for letting us see what your HT really looks like, yes I can see why your unhappy, its quite amazing how the photo taken by the clinic makes your hair look so much better then it does in your photos.

Unfortunately I strongly suspect most of us HT guys will look comical sooner or later, I dont see how a smiley face tattoo at the back of you head looks any worse than a white smiley face strip scar.
