  1. Excellent hairline work. Especially considering the prior work. Am I correct in assuming that this type of hairline restoration could be achieved on virgin scalp if the patient had similar anatomy?
  2. Case studies like these are as close as we may ever get to a true evaluation of the yield differences between FUT and FUE. The experiment has been fairly well standardized. The same patient/physiology, similar timeline, and modern surgical protocol. The only variable in the experiment is the method used to perform the procedure. The conclusion is fairly obvious: the FUE grew poorly and the FUT grew well.
  3. Tremendous result. The patient must be ecstatic. Well done.
  4. Bklynborn: Congratulations. Your extensive research led to a very satisfactory conclusion. I'm a researcher myself, and my own studies have yielded similar conclusions; there are a few consistent clinics providing hair transplantation today, and Dr. Feller's clinic is one of them.
  5. NoTakeBacks: I concur. I have similar characteristics, and would be ecstatic with a result like this. Be it from Dr. Feller or one of his equally impressive counterparts.
  6. Very good case. Definitely a telling example of why this entire 'FUT versus FUE' debate matters.
  7. It is interesting to see more FUE results come from Chicago Hair Institute. I hope this patient updates us as well.
  8. Nice write up. I would like to see the images from your second procedure as well.
  9. I have light brown hair, and wondered about the visual contrast between the base of the hairs and the hue of the scalp as well. Good to know. Thank you.
  10. Dr Lindsey: I find this technique very interesting. Definitely innovative. I think scenarios where patients can obtain industry standard results with a minimally invasive approach are rare. However, modifying the existing FUE practice seems to have worked for this very purpose in the case of mFUE. I'm considering both approaches (FUE and FUT), but leaning towards FUT because of the results. However, this may be an approach worth considering as well. Thank you for creating and sharing these videos.
  11. Excellent work. I have similar color and character to my hair. I would love to have a transformation like this. Well done.
  12. Great write up. Dr Alexander's FUT work is very reliable. He continually demonstrates consistently good results, and this is adding weight to FUT (opposed to FUE) for me. If you look at the work posted here as raw data, the FUT category exhibits consistent success. In scientific studies, the ability to reproduce a procedure with reliable results (reproducibility) indicates good protocol. The fact that strict FUT protocol leads to these type of results on a consistent basis indicates that it is a reliable, reproducible procedure.
  13. I've always liked Dr Lindsey's work and approach to surgery. Very technical. I find PRFM interesting as well. The explanation makes sense. As someone with a science background, I appreciate those trying to improve upon existing techniques. I'm going to download a few of the papers and review them in greater detail this evening.
  14. Beldarcone: Thank you for this write up. I'm highly considering Dr Feller for a FUT procedure as well. I have a few questions (and maybe someone from the clinic could reply if Beldarcone is not sure of the answers). Does the clinic still use custom cut blades with lateral incisions? Are surgical steel staples still used for closing the donor? Did the clinic mention anything about upcoming medical therapies (like PGD2 blockers/PGE analogs, injections of growth factors, duplication/cloning)? I'll check in on your progress.
  15. Statistically speaking, seeing zero to minimal growth at 3 months post-operative isn't a cause for concern. I agree with Dr Feller and Gillenator.
  16. I'm currently in the process of researching this myself. I've read extensively, and have come to similar conclusions about using FUT grafts in the hairline. Spend as much time researching the individual doctors as you can. Each doctor seems to use subtle variations in technique, and I think this makes a difference in the hairline (and so does using FUT grafts).
