I am talking to dr Konior and about to go see him. Does he help in making a game plan, such as propecia prescription, topicals recommendation, etc, or does he only talk about surgery? Ideally, I'd like to do something like that first, and then if it doesn't work, go for the surgery.

I have receding hairline and thinning on the top. Should I be even trying Rogaine? The instructions clearly say that it is specifically for vertex problems(top of head). What's the alternative, then?

Is it true that rogain has alcohol content? It sure smells like that. Is this harmful? Especially in the case of psoriasis. Is there a non-alcoholic alternative?

Is Konior specifcally good for transplant, or everything? I am not sure I am at transplant stage yet, I want to try a topical approach + propecia first. So perhaps there is somebody else competent closer to downtown?

I am interested for a diagnose and advice first, as well as prescription for propecia/finasteride, to begin with, but also discuss potential transplant down the line. Who would you recommend that I see? I live downtown. On this forum, I was already recommended Dr Raymond Konior, anybody else?

I am considering starting with these, as suggested on this forum, so I have a few questions. These may be answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find the responses. I also thought it would be good to have all explanations on the same spot. 1) Is it true that finasteride is same as propecia? If so, is there any preference? Is there any brand that's supposed to be best? 2) Do I need doctor's perscription/check up to get these? Do I go to a general doctor or dermatologist, or something else? 3) How frequent, severe and permanent are the side effects? In other words, what fraction of users see side effects? How serious they are? Do they go away if the user stops taking them? 4) How effective it is? Does it only stop hair loss, or also promotes hair regrowth? Thank you very much in advance.

I've heard that it can make matters worse. Should I not be trying it? I have mild psoriasis and use Ketoconazole for it.

I have uploaded(attached) some images. My pre-emptive plan is as follows: 1) Try Hair Club Extreme Therapy 2) If that doesn't work, try Hair Club transplant surgery What are people's opinions for 1) and 2)? How effective are they? Are there any more effective alternatives for either of them? So far, I have tried Pura Dor shampoo, and Ketoconazole for dandruff/mild psoriasis, but they haven't done much for preventing my hair loss, or regrowth. I am 27 and live in Chicago.
