Reyes1: Thank you for updating. I have heard the same explanation for shaving. Seems logical.

Dr. Bloxham: Thank you. This seems reasonable. AZDZ: I presume chronic inflammation and post-operative inflammation are different. Whether acute post-operative inflammation could affect or be affected by chronic inflammation is a good question. Dr. Bloxham will answer. However, I am not convinced chronic inflammation would play a significant part in hair loss. Is this what you are hypothesizing?

Dr. Bloxham: Thank you for updating. I still hope to experience a similar lack of redness and inflammation post-operatively when I have my surgery. Though I have very different skin quality. And I presume this matters? In addition, can a NW VII pattern like this be predicted? Any signs or symptoms that could imply a NW VII pattern will occur in the future?

Congratulations. Can a representative for Dr. Konior confirm whether the combination of sutures and staples are necessary for each procedure. If not, when must the combination be used and when is each removed? Thank you.

4,200 grafts FUT dr. Hasson Feb. 03, 2016
bunsenburner replied to Dutchie's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Dutchie: I believe it is too early for panic. According to the common knowledge shared on the discussion forums, 8 months only represents around 60% completion (as I understand it). This implies more growth in the future. Do try to minimize worry for now. Have you spoken with Dr. Hasson or a representative from Hasson & Wong? -
Xamyhprum: I cannot provide a surgical testimonial for Drs. Feller and Bloxham, but I have consulted with Dr. Bloxham twice and was impressed. I have followed two Feller and Bloxham patients on the discussion forums too. Patients "BklynBorn" and "DeckerG" may be of some assistance: http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/181047-great-experience-feller-bloxham-3.html http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/180517-do-you-count-1-500-grafts-repair-case-dr-blake-bloxham-great-neck-ny.html

Doug: Thank you for sharing a more developed Hasson & Wong FUE result. This is helpful for researching patients. However, a few curious questions and comments: the patient undoubtedly experienced growth from the FUE. But the overall transformation appears less dramatic than what we have come to expect from Dr Wong and Dr Hasson's very large surgeries. Are patients being told the totality of the results will be equivalent for FUE and FUT procedures of similar graft numbers? Would this patient have been informed that an approximate 4,000 graft FUE case would provide the same aesthetic benefit as a 4,000 graft FUT? Or is there a separate theory and set of expectations for the FUE surgeries? Why did this patient select a FUE procedure above a FUT procedure? I would theorize that his age and hair styling after the procedure would be well suited for FUT? Was he not an acceptable candidate for this method? I thank you for continuing to answer my questions. I always found Dr Hasson and Dr Wong's FUT work to be exceptional, and the former is on a very short list of doctors I want to perform my own procedure. I also apologize if my analysis does seem somewhat hypercritical. It is not my intention. Only to gain a better understanding of the FUE changes at the clinic.

Dr Hasson 660 hairline grafts update
bunsenburner replied to Aftermath's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Aftermath: Stunning. Congratulations. -
Doug: I must admit: I agree with Noob. It is difficult to determine whether the patient has any new growth from the FUE or if this is his previous transplants simply grown longer. Also, the extraction pattern in the back looks like less than 3,045 punctures. I have studied pictures of donor areas from other clinics after a similar number of grafts were extracted, and the FUE wounds appear closer together and the extraction area appears larger. My experience is admittedly limited, but the donor area looks similar to 1,000 or 2,000 graft cases I have seen submitted online. Is this not the case? Was this patient not eligible for another FUT procedure? Is Dr Hasson not performing as many FUT procedures? I apologize for the questions. I'm considering Dr Hasson for my own FUT procedure, and this presentation appears different from the clinic norm.

Life Changing Descion- 3000-4000 grafts SMG vs H&W
bunsenburner replied to lostmyhair1234's topic in Hair Transplant Reviews
Lostmyhair1234: I would recommend Drs. Hasson and Wong. Their clinic sounds best suited for your situation. If you are in Chicago, I would consider a consultation with Dr. Konior too. -
Dr. Bloxham: Correct. That was my question. I would be very comfortable with an appearance like this 3 or 4 months after surgery. I understand this uncommon. I will take your advice and probably delay my own FUT to accommodate an important engagement. Though I must admit, I do hope to be early on the progression curve and look like these patients 3 to 4 months after surgery. However, I am sure almost all patients would prefer this. Thank you for the response.
