  1. Lol, I sent that panicked message! Thanks for coming back to us all BigP, and I'm so very glad to hear you are travelling well at 8 months. Considering you're buzzed right down your hairline looks very defined, congrats! Of course if you get that chance to post in a few more days with some extra length in great lighting we'd be event more grateful. Ersko
  2. Looks perfect - and will look better still with some length. I'm 43, booked for surgery, and will be avoiding the temptation to lower my hairline anymore than the doc suggests..I think it's just as easy to have regrets later in life that you went too low. Your 2 months post HT and already have a defined hairline most would be happy with at 8 months. Presumably the shot was that taken before the shed?
  3. Hey Raman,I've cancelled the friend request. Send me a request and I'll see if i can accept it from my side. Ersko
  4. Hey Raman, Around 3 weeks ago I requested 8 December and it was available...so I took it. There is probably dates free sooner also. Ersko
  5. Even though I'd like to stay buzzed throughout recovery, I'll play it safe if need be. When I've had my hair clippered in the past I can't recall a tugging sensation so i'm surprised it's so risk after the grafts have become safe at the 10 day mark. What makes buzzing so risky that it must be avoided for so long?
  6. Betterlate- we're desperate for an update on how your hair landed- hopefully perfectly! Please let us know.
  7. Hey Mickedw, Losing successfully transplanted hairs within 2 years is odd.I agree with others, it does sound like some of the transplanted hair was taken outside the safe zone. Please keep is posted on the clinic's response, and I hope they do the right thing and find a way to make it up to you. Hi CJD, In my research I've been seeking out both good and band results for Erdogan. I spotted Delm's recent posting that he had no follow-up response from Asmed, then questionable results. But other than that I've struggled to find poor outcomes from Erdogen/Asmed. I'm booked for December and want to be s informed as possible. Who are the other users who've reported poor results? Let me know (even by PM so as not to hijack this post) and I'll check out their post and profiles. Thanks! Ersko
  8. Sounds good- I'll be following that advice gillenator. Even though the decision to sport a buzz cut will come a surprise to anyone who knows me, it's believable and will disguise the bald patches and regrowth. Also, if required I'll stoop to make-up to hide the redness if it can't be passed of as sunburn at 4 weeks.
  9. Hey there, Reviews on Aussie docs (eg Knudson, Martinek) are scare and inconsistent. In the end i've decided to travel to Turkey to have FUE with Erdogen Koray. I feel like FUE is a gamble compared to a proven FUT doc, however my personal decision was made knowing I buzz my hair at the back and sides at #2 . My surgery is 8 December, and time will tell if I've made the right decision. You're still quite young, so go into it knowing that MPB will slowly progress and you may require the odd touch up to close the gap between your future natural state and your new permanent new hair line out front. Traveling overseas will make touch-ups that bit more difficult. Thanks for starting this thread. I'm following, and hope to see more tips on doctors, travelling etc from aussies who have been through the HT experience.
  10. So the transplant was somewhat of a success however native and/or transplanted hairs have fallen out since?
  11. I checked your album, and while your hair does seem a little thin you're transformation has been amazing for just 3150 grafts. Congrats.
  12. Hey DJMFFT and Raman, I'm booked with Erdogan 8 Dec. I'll send each of you a friend request and we can swap notes.
  13. Decow, we'd love to hear an update on your progress?
  14. Hi Delm, That's very disappointing that Asmed performed the HT, grabbed the cash, and then didn't reply back when you had questions at the 2 month mark. it's now been 12 months, any by the sounds of it they never bothered. The poor communication would frustrate me too, but I could forgive it so long as the results were good. Communication aside, 12 months down the road are you happy with the outcome of the HT? Erdogan gets high praise on the forum for yield and density, if this was not the case for you it would be good to hear another perspective. Ersko
  15. Hi Spidey, I really appreciate the time you've taken to document your Hasson FUE. Ironically it might be your HT success that ends up being the pioneer case for Hasson being seen as a master of both FUE & FUT. Best of luck as you head into the upcoming months!
  16. Hay Badbeat and Delancy - thanks for the honest feedback that I don't need a HT. Comments on my receding hairline started when I was around 23 and I was sensitive enough to research and jump onto Finasteride when it first came out 18 years ago when I was 25. I've stuck with it over the years and have been lucky; I've only seen very minor recession at temples and hairline in the 18 years since jumping on Finasteride and the remainder of my head was never impacted by MPB. I sent my photos to H&W, Rahal & Erdogen and all suggested I'd need around 2K grafts to meet my hope of a dense restored hairline. The number was higher than I expected, but the consistency did assure me I wasn't crazy seeking a HT. Badbeat, I'm booking flights but want to understand what you think my regrets might be before getting to the point of no return. Feel free to be brutally honest as I haven't yet committed $$ and I can consider your response in my final decision.
  17. Thanks for the responses everybody. I'll be morbidly self conscious on that first dreaded week back at work, but going by everyone's feedback it doesn't sounds like my colleagues will outright guess I've had a HT, and that's a huge relief. I have fair skin and expect to be cursed with the typical redness, and I'll gladly resort to make-up at 4 weeks to conceal the worst of it . I wear my hair shortish already, and to ease into my new look will buzz down to a number 4 in the lead-up. I think I'm NW2, so hopefully that might add to my chances of of my HT going undetected. Better pics attached. I'm 43, long time stable on Finasteride, this is my first procedure and have opted for a doc that I hope will deliver a aggressive/dense hairline - Erdogan Koray. He only does shaved donor and recipient, so I will be buzzing my whole head for sure.. I also plan to remain buzzed at number 4 through the ugly duckling months...unless someone who has tried that approach advises the regrowth in front of the native hairline is too obvious for that approach? Also, just curious, was everyone's shedding complete at the 4 week mark, or was the process still underway? Thanks heaps, Ersko
  18. I'm booked in with Erdogan Koray in December. I'll have 4 weeks off before returning to work. I already wear my hair somewhat short, and on Day 1 back in the office I'm hoping like hell it's passable that I've decided to run with a buzz cut over the x-mas break. I'll place make-up to cover any severe redness, but I'm worried the timing of the shedding, together with any shock loss will give me away. I'm choosing to be very discreet with my HT, and because I'm NW2 I expect I might get away without sharing it with anyone other than my partner...but only if I can manage to conceal the tell tale signs in the early days. How have other guys with FUE hairline/temple work looked at the 4 week mark? With only 4 weeks to grow native hair, have you found any tricks to disguise the work? If you tried to hide it, were people in the office able to guess?
  19. I was about to start a similar post asking about options to conceal redness in the early days. I have no doubt I'll look a mess after my transplant. Returning to work around 4 weeks after the op I think I could explain my new look as a very bad/short haircut ...it's the redness that will give me away. I'm only NW2 and think I can get away without admitting anything, but the fear of the redness is what has stopped my booking in. How have others found it when they return to the office after a few weeks? Have people guessed? And for those that were able to conceal the redness, what tricks did you use? In my case I feel I'll be very exposed, FUE shaved all over, caucasian. Ant tips and hints appreciated.
  20. Brilliant results that make me want to take the plunge and book myself in, congrats! You mentioned in a prior post that you'd like to be able to wear your hair spiked at the front. Would your current density allow that?
  21. That's great that you are already looking better at just 4 momths. I'm also from Sydney and considering Turkey - please keep us posted as your growth continues over the coming months.
  22. Wow- 4 months and already looking better. I'm also from Sydney and considering Turkey - please keep us all posted over the next few months!
