  1. Hey Ready, Great to hear back from you, and even better to hear that hadn't gone quiet because you'd proceeded and then not been happy with your progress. I'm super keen to hear how your procedure goes, and hope you get an amazing result when the time comes! Ersko
  2. Hey ready4Hair, I'm super keen to hear how you went with Dr Ergodan. I believe you were scheduled for April, and I'm really hoping to hear you're seeing some promising early signs of growth.
  3. Yes Johntra, we're all hoping you've got some good early growth and would love an update!
  4. Hope it all went well for you Ready, and looking forward to hearing how you found Koray/Asmed. You'd be over 2 months now, and we're all hoping to hear in the next few months that you are seeing some early signs of growth. Happy growing!
  5. Looking good Astaldo, and hoping to read more updates on your growth.
  6. Fantastic - it's get to see a confirmed great outcome at only 6 months. Keep the updates coming!
  7. Hey BetterLate, I can't wait to see your 7 month update! Hey readyforhair, I checked out your hair loss story and it's fantastic. You've precisely documented the hairline I'd like the achieve, imperfect hairline, temple peaks etc. I'm 42 and after 17 years on Fin I'm lucky enough to still be only NW2. I'll be optimistically be seeking a one-off 2000ish procedure- though I'm realistic about a touch-up a few years down the track. How did your April procedure at Asmed go?
  8. I think what Taurusrisen is saying is that he perfectly understands he'd have a scar with FUT, however his personal preference is to accept a scar in favour of greater yield/density. I can relate. I also have a big preference for no scar, however my bigger fear is poor density. If the same density/yield can be achieved with the best FUE specialists (compared to the best FUT specialists -eg Rahal), then I'm all for booking a trip to Turkey or Belgium. The trouble is there isn't many patient outcomes from the best FUE docs that surpass the bets FUT docs.....or maybe I'm not looking hard enough for the good news 'wow' results?
  9. I appreciate the pics on Rahal's website are better than Erdogan's - but that could just be wiser pic selection. It's the pics from patients & their stories that are a better indicator of a typical outcome. I'm open to the possibility of Erdogan's FUE creating the same density as Rahal's FUE, but am having trouble finding customer supplied pics + reviews to back it up. Has anyone seen many patient stories for Erdogan? Importantly, have there been any disappointing outcomes?
  10. Wow Charlie - I remember reading this post months ago. After all this time it's great to hear from a fellow Aussie that it is indeed possible to get a decent hair transplant without leaving the country. I'm pleased you are happy with your result. Ersko.
  11. Hey Sean, Wow, I've just found this tread and read all 43 pages. I'm exhausted just from reading, grateful for the detail provided, and so sorry to see you are still striving to get the distinctly full hairline you desire. You account has been amazing, and really opened my eyes to the reality that there is a chance of disappointment regardless of the best research, best doctor and best after-care. Thanks to you, if I do proceed with a HT myself, I'll be going in with my eyes open. I'm 42 and have a similar 'before' hairline as you. As such, I'm also seeking a dense hairline guru and Rahal is on my list - though following your review I'd go FUT with Rahal and live with the scar . I'm from Australia, so have a massive commute on my hands whoever I choose and therefore not wedded to a North American surgeon. I'll be super keen to hear how you progress with investigations on European surgeons . My research to date has me favouring Koray Erdogan in Turkey for density. Based on comments above I'll also take a good look at Feriduni's (Belgium) for his hairlines. Keep up the amazing posts, and all the best with your next steps! Ersko
  12. Hey Betterlate - fantastic pics, looking natural and thickening up nicely!
  13. Fantastic write up. It was great to be able to read through the emotional struggles of the ugly duckling phase and then to see unbelievable results! I'm so happy for you Yaz and hope your November transplant closes out any imperfections or density gaps. Dr E is on my shopping list!
  14. Wow- I've just read this entire thread and it's been fantastic. I've been lurking for a few months now and Dr Erdogan was on my list, but not my favourite. With so much detail in this post the uncertainly I feel around Turkey has faded. I'm from Australia and have to travel no matter what, and the US/Canada seemed the safest. After this review I'm reconsidering. Great work BetterLate! I wish you and NewLook15 the best of recoveries and hope to hear further updates on your re-growth.
  15. I'm also in the same boat. Hair loss is limited to receding hairline/temples, and I'm not going to bother investigating here in Australia. Dr Path in Bangkok seems to be a good option, but there's no recent reviews on him and Dr Pong (not accredited by this forum) seems to be the new Thai surgeon with a few conversations with good results floating around about him. Regardless of who I choose, it's going to require an overseas trip and I'm not fussy on location, I just want the high density coverage to cover my receded temples- lol. It would be great to hear from Australians who have travelled to correct a receding hairline- regardless of whether the experience was good or bad. At this early stage I'm looking at Dr Rahal (Canada) as an option.
