  1. 3.5 months? Looks like great progress to me. If the stubborn redness is the issue, have you tried concealing it with make-up? Might be worth a shot.
  2. Hey DM6 - I'm also flying from Sydney and booked with Erdogan in 3 weeks; my surgery day is Tues 8 Dec. I'm travelling with the other half and we'll take a 5 days post-op to see Istanbul as tourists, otherwise I would have flown back 2-3 days post-op. I'll be glad to be getting the daily wash at Asmed while I am super cautious in the first few days.
  3. 1.25 mg daily. (a quarter of the 5mg Proscar tablet daily)
  4. 3.5 sounds right on track for the shed to kick in..by what I've read you'll probably loose nearly all of your grafts in the next few days, then the wait is on. I'll keep an eye out for your 4 week update.
  5. Yep - here are some pics. I'm doing okay for 43...the hairline and temples have receeded, and thanks to 17 years of Finasteride the rest of my hair is still thick. But I want my hairline back....
  6. Yes- 3 months after my procedure you'll be coming up on the 7 month mark and I'll be super jealous that your results are all growing in.
  7. JohnnyLight, great write-up. Happy healing and please keep us posted as the months tick by.
  8. Hey Hairsearch 21, Hang in there - the long wait is coming to a close and you'll see your results soon. I'm booked in to Asmed in 3 weeks and think I can deal with the long wait for results, but totally freaking out about the post HT appearance. When you say its very, very tough: it is that you are impatient for the results, or that you are self concious of your appearance during HT recovery that is the hardest? Can people tell you've had work? Ersko
  9. Thanks CJT - I keen to hear what happened and will keep an eye out for your post.
  10. Hi CJT, Apologies if my post came off wong, I didn't mean to offend. You make valid points and I respect the information and view point you share. . You mention Dr Erdogan cut contact with you. The feedback on a few other threads is that Asmed contact diminishes post-op...most worryingly when results fall short of expectations. But you are pre HT, so to ignore you would be to ignore a potential patient/sale - are you able to share why you feel Erdogen cut contact? E.g. what was the nature of the conversation that he would choose to walk away instead of butter you up to proceed? Ersko
  11. Looks promising HT-FUE. You look great, dense and not noticeably red at all. I'll be keeping an eye on your progress as you shed and keen to find out how much more pinkness is exposed without the hair to cover it.
  12. I'm 43, and thanks to 17 years on Finasteride have only progressed to NW2. Based on my very slow MPD progression, I've opted for a surgeon who is open to an aggressive restoration of my hairline- Erdogan. Nothing too low, but I do want maximum density, temple points etc,. I appreciate that for a NW2 (& 43 years old) a HT is like fixing something that is only a little bit broken. My decision to proceed has been around having the luxury to restore something close to my pre MPB hairline, with guaranteed donor spare to cover the gradual progression that will creep up further over the years. I'm curious to hear for other NW2s who had the luxury of requesting dense packing. Did the density match your expectations? Was the end result natural looking? Regrets? Any feedback most welcome.
  13. Hey BGC, I'm making the trip from Sydney just 10 days earlier, I'm booked for 8 December. I'm nervous about the recovery, but hopeful of a good result at the end of it.
  14. Hey HT-FUE, Your sides/temple points look great. Did you ask specifically for them, or did he suggest them when drawing the hairline?
  15. Raman - you'll be making the long trip from Australia just 2 weeks before me. I'm booked in with Asmed for 8 December.
  16. Hey BetterLate, Thanks for coming back on each of my questions. You are a true gent and deserve your great results. Ersko
  17. Hi CJD, You have no reason to lie about your communication with disappointed patients. I don't doubt you. You have every right to share information you might have to benefit others. I did however want to jump in an offer some balance. Partly in reaction to your forum comments and our private PMs a few weeks ago, in advance of my 8 December surgery at Asmed I private messaged every past patient I could find on here. I was particularly keen to hear back form patients who had started threads that then went quiet several months later. I contacted 10 patients, and I've heard back from all but one. My PMs even prompted several patients to jump back on the forum and provide a long awaited status update! Amongst the replies there was indeed one disappointed patient who had chosen not to update this thread. His yield was poor and he was critical of the clinic's commercial interest over patient outcomes. The remainder were positive, even glowing. From this I assessed, not matter the surgeon, I am indeed taking a gamble with a HT with Erdogan (or any surgeon) and I'll be going in with realistic expectations. Fingers crossed! Ersko

  19. Hmm, that does seem rare to have almost no singles. They would have saved the singles extracted for the hairline - so maybe you'll get extra lucky and have all the multi grafts giving super density behind the hairline. A nice problem to have.
  20. Hey BetterLate, It's great to see your update, and your dry shots look amazing! A few questions: What percentage of follicles transferred do you estimate survived? Have many people noticed or commented? How do you feel about the transplant 10 months on? Congrats on a great outcome. Ersko
  21. Looks great HT-FUE, congrats on getting to the other side of surgery day!
  22. Wow Johntra - your outcome is perfect. Congrats!
