  1. Some people go through life, or into HTs without unreasonable expectations and that is on them. This however is a result that no patient should reasonably expect nor should any doc stand behind this as being quality work. How did it looks a year post op? Has it gotten better, worse, or remained the same?
  2. This result is really disappointing. You should be fixed up for free unless this is the result of further hairloss since your HT. Would be interesting to know who your doc was.
  3. Guess women don't want to shave their head if at all possible....
  4. When you have blonde hair and you get dark curly coarse hair at the front of your head it's not the most natural looking thing.
  5. I had the same issue. Dark coarse hair which was unmanageable post FUE procedure. I have no idea what causes this although I assume it's trauma to the hair which may or may not have any medical merit. Additionally my hairs were implanted at incorrect angles which I only realized after consulting a few docs. Maybe you have some of this going on.
  6. If that one guy can get $100k to make potato salad maybe this guy gets his 10k for a HT. Check out the potato salad guy's page and model it after his. I think you need humor as you're inlikely to pull on anyone's heart strings regarding mpb
  7. See this link. I think your mpb has progressed a bit beyond his, and his doc gave him more grafts than what you've discussed. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/178564-dr-shelly-friedman-3-694-grafts-norwood-vi-fut-9-months.html
  8. Lots of good points. If you must stay local, Dr. Bernard Arocha in Houston has had some nice results of late.
  9. It all depends on your expectations. 2k could be enough, or totally fall short of a satisfactory result. With that said I don't see many nw6 going for 2k FUE procedures on here.
  10. To me, density or the appearance there of is more important than coverage persay. With that said, if I had your pattern I would opt for a (very) high hairline with good density. This is just my personal preference. Your other option is full coverage with thin, somewhat see through hair. To achieve both full coverage and good density is pretty unrealistic I think but then again I haven't seen your donor. Some guys also compromise with a good hairline and middle but let their crown go. Would any of these options satisfy you? If so, I'd say go for it. spend some time researching people's results with 4-5k procedures to create some real expectations for yourself then decide. Ps, I am an avid gym guy as well. I'm convinced creatine is pretty toxic for your hair or at least was for me. If you're on it, you might consider discontinuing to help stabilize your pattern in addition to hair meds.
  11. Thanks for the response. Beard hair seems to be a pretty popular choice for scar repair. Did you guys discuss using beard hair? If so, why did you decide against it? Also, do you have multiple strip scars? I can't tell if there is a scar below the scar you repaired or not.
  12. Very nice write up. That scar doesn't look so awful. How many grafts are being dedicated to scar repair? Did you use head hairs for scar repair?
  13. busa, Ask a doc, any doc who specializes in both FUT and FUE which procedure results in less variability and and higher predictablity in terms of yield, transection rate, and graft quality. I think you'll be pretty surprised what you find. Whether or not that's largely due to OOBT or other factors mention by OP I don't know, but I'm sure it has something to do with it. If those factors don't matter for you then a different point of view maybe isn't worth exploring.
  14. Ok fair point. I'm wonder how many grafts would be standard to achieve decent density for temple points. It still seems like a lot of grafts given the size of the area but then again I don't know what the density is of your surrounding native so it's all relative. Ps I'm pretty curious what you googled to find that pic if it isn't you.
  15. The dentist and a hair transplant clinic might be the only two destinations on the planet I'd rather not have a good looking women poking around on me.
  16. I find this interesting. 1,000 grafts for temple points or am I missing something?
  17. If you think the obsessing/mirror looking is bad preop, wait till post op.....a little short term pain for long term gain just remember that. Between meds and choice of doc you're taking all the right steps so feel good about that.
  18. The claims of that concealer about "procapil" have me disliking it immediately but I have to admit he looks great
  19. Hey home, I checked out your pics. Looking good man. Was that your first HT or have you had prior procedures?
