  1. Hate when OPs like this Houdini...lots of people (myself included) are in similar situations and could really benefit from hearing more of this experience.
  2. Get on the fin/minox asap. While some here have voiced experiences w the potential sides of both, they are rare. I think most if not all of us wish we had started both years earlier than we did.
  3. You should ask your doc. I hate to say it but even if it's negative he may hedge and say it's fine and to wait 12-18 months for the full result but if he's ethical perhaps he shoots you straight. I'm assuming you trusted your doc otherwise you wouldn't have proceeded so he will be your best resource and you have little choice but to trust what he says for the time being at least. I had a fue procedure where the new grafts eventually fell out but there certainly wasn't a massive shed like that. My procedure was years ago and presumably with a different doc so it's possible given his methodology it's completely normal. See what your doc says as the rest of us are only speculating and in reality don't really know what's up. Good luck man
  4. The work looks sooo clean...congrats man, keep us updated!
  5. After several years of stabilized hair loss, I've begun to notice some miniaturized hairs falling out periodically. This began roughly four months ago which coincides with the introduction of BCAAs into my diet. It's really the only thing I've changed that I can think of. Does anyone know if there might be any correlation? It's probably just natural progression but I thought I would ask. Oddly enough upon doing an Internet search I found a bunch of propaganda stating the opposite such as this link Update Branched Chain Amino Acids and Hairloss. It's on the Internet so it's gotta be true right? Any thoughts or input is appreciated.
  6. I am on the fin and am just as much as a horn-dog as ever!
  7. I had a FUT procedure done years back, and I am curious about potential options available to repair/camouflage. My first inclination is a preference towards bead/hair transplantation into the scar itself over smp, but I'm having a difficult time digging up any solid results. I would love to hear opinions on the effectiveness of various methods FUT scar concealment. Also, if anyone can direct me towards photos of what I might be able to expect from a top surgeon, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks guys.
  8. The density is looking super. Please keep us updated.
  9. Pma, For what it's worth ive had both a fue and fut procedure. The redness in my recipient area dissipated a few weeks after my fut procedure (done in 2006) and several months later after my fue procedure (done in 2010). It took around 10 mos for the redness to disappear on fue as a matter of fact. Not saying this is the typical disparity but this was in fact my experience.
  10. Not to hijack this thread but I wanted to make a point to the original poster as well as pose a question to the community. I had a FUT procedure several years ago and have had a bit of stretching over the years. My scar remains undetectable (down to a 4 at least) thankfully, but I am contemplating getting a scar revision revision and some FUE cover up to give me some more flexibility with styling. In speaking with several reputable docs, the common thread seems to be that a scar will always be a scar no matter what. You can cover it up through a variety of methods but it will always remain at least semi visible with hair cut to a certain length. Something to think about poster....To the community, do you believe this is largely true or is it a case of docs playing the expectation game to keep a potential patient realistic? Under promise and over deliver? Can you direct me to any exceptional scar repairs so as to educate myself if they exist? Also, just based upon pics I've seen, Dr. K is my $.02.
  11. I see this thread has fizzled...any pics of the scar revision? I'm in the same boat and am pondering..
  12. Looking good! I am considering a procedure with Dr. Konior this fall. The work on its own/results are enough to warrant a procedure with him. The fact that you have little to no redness at this point is icing on the cake and a godsend for those of us who can't stay cooped up for several weeks. Watching with great interest.
