  1. Hattingen has to be one of the top guys in the world. Very strong track record on foreign language forums.
  2. Bumping to add: -Hair loss experiences - French; patient submissions are fewer but site is easy to navigate, pictures are inline with posts, and overall runs fast. Best back end programming of any forum I've come across--can view large numbers of cases quickly. -Recuperalpelo - Spanish; need to register an account to search; older cases are almost entirely broken links. Excellent sampling of the fue spring coming from Spain. Good source for less mentioned surgeons (ie. Ximena Vila, Pinto, Heinicke, etc). -Alopezie - German; older formatting makes pics harder to see and small number of surgical cases overall. -Haarweb - Dutch; very limited number overall as a subsection of a general hair loss site. Very interesting to see how surgeons discussed here are viewed in other countries, as well as how foreign surgeons are viewed by their respective medical communities.
  3. The main potential for AI in hair loss is in accurately measuring results, which is a huge problem for any meaningful research. This is 10-15 years away but could be much sooner depending on interest. True AI assisted and autonomous implantation is much further away. 20-50 years.
  4. Yes I agree. Another point is that Instagram and Reddit can be intimidating because the audience is so large. This forum is more of a protected niche, people by and large are more supportive.
  5. They do get implanted. But unfortunately it is likely that they are usually transected and contribute nothing beyond a mild sterile inflammatory response, (not any actual coverage).
  6. Here's what I've found to be lacking on instagram and reddit as compared to HRN -- very few patient submitted cases. Clinic cases are only a good idea to see what the clinic thinks of as successful. User submissions, for all their flaws, are the best thing about this place.
  7. We would need to see an anonymized picture of your entire face to more accurately assess your Norwood.
  8. 150k cases in the us with 1600 deaths is just under 2% mortality. That's 20x more deadly than the flu. If the numbers keep accelerating, that's gonna be a lot of body bags.
  9. Well, the observation is accurate but the conclusion not so much. It's something called a diathesis stress model. Regarding the comment above on Alec Baldwin, I suspect the fact that he is a smoker and years of alcohol.
  10. It's an excellent point. I would argue Hasson is even better at FUE than FUT. And he was already amongst the best in the world at FUT, so that's not a small accomplishment. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience with Keser -- he is normally so careful. I was trying to find where you posted your pics of his surgery but I seem to be missing them. Could you or someone here please direct me?
  11. Give the fin several months to a year to process before you even think of seeing a surgeon. Your frontal hairline may not do much but your crown could evolve dramatically. Also think of keto/minox.
  12. Don't jump the gun -- I've seen results that started like this that ended up beautifully. Be patient, get on meds if you can, keep a healthy lifestyle, try not to look into the mirror too much. Some users have suggested an infrared cap might also help, though I'm not sure about this.
  13. Corona is not the cold or the flu. Cutting and pasting recommendations from those illnesses is dangerous. Things to avoid: -High dose vitamin C increases your risk of lung fibrosis if you get the virus due to its effect on something called interferon. This is based on studies of SARS; there have been no studies of high dose vitamin C with corona specifically. Do not do the high dose vitamin C that someone suggested earlier, it could be dangerous and there is no plausible mechanism by which it would make you more safe. Particularly for someone with your medical history. Take a normal dose of 150 mg per day. -High dose vitamin A and D increase your risk of being infected due to upregulation of something called ACE2. -If you are on an ace inhibitor (blood pressure medication that ends with -opril) there have been physicians switching their patients for a short time period to a calcium channel blocker. This is also because of its effects on ACE2. This is a controversial point and nephrologists are arguing pretty actively on whether this is appropriate. If you are on this medication, talk to your doctor about temporarily switching, particularly if you are in NYC, Cali or somewhere that's been hit hard. Things to take: -Zinc interferes with virus replication. Both ionic and nutritional zinc are essential. Avoid picolinate or oxide, 15 mg 4x daily and a lozenge, -Copper is toxic to the virus and prevents its attachment to cellular surfaces. It doesn't survive well on brass surfaces in general actually. 10:1 ratio of this to whatever amount of zinc you obtain (80 mg/8 mg) -Elderberry prevents attachment of the virus to ACE2. 1 gram daily. 14. I think my point stands. If we respond with draconian measures and stop the spread of the virus, folks like Kramer will say it was unnecessary and we overdid it. But if we don't do enough the devastation will be painfully obvious.
  15. I remember a user on another forum who said he believed using a laser cap after his surgery helped stimulate growth. I have heard others say similar things about minoxidil. I am not sure if there is an official stance on this. I would imagine that if some follicles were borderline or if shock loss was an issue, maybe not good, where as if delayed growth was the concern it would help, but really I don't think anyone knows.
  16. I would ignore the general content of btt and iahrs. Just an advertising platform disguised as a forum.
  17. Yes the wage gap is a myth, that was tongue in cheek. Unfortunately the part about the virus killing men, who tend to be sicker as we age regardless. This will ebb in the summer, but then we will be hit by a second wave in the fall. Sorry guys, this is the new reality. Small business with close, larger corporations will consolidate, socialism will prosper and fingers are going to be pointed. And oh yeah, a lot of people are going to die. There is a decent chance that someone you know is going to die this year from the disease. The paradox of contingency: You never can know if you overreacted, but it's absolutely clear when you didn't do enough.
  18. It seems that older patients that die from the virus are men in a 3 to 1 ratio in Italy. But more importantly, with every dollar of lost salary for an average man, a woman only loses 79 cents! ..sorry I had to. Let's stop debating the virus like our opinion matters and just do our best to be rational and listen to the powers that be. Just wait till oil and water run out! Also, for those of you that have procedures scheduled in the next few weeks: Have clinics been cancelling? Which ones? Would be good to know different responses for people looking at scheduling new procedures.
  19. I think it's very interesting and intelligent to do this as two smaller procedures, and I applaud you for your patience there. You got to see how the first one went as far as yield, it's almost an investor's sort of marketing strategy. I think there is something to be learned here, especially as your results look so fantastic. Please keep us updated.
  20. You're right, maybe China is sending doctor spies to Italy. Stupid media trying to cover up China's international espionage. While I appreciate the general point, it certainly does not apply to Kramer's conspiracy theories. It's so strange to read someone's posts and appreciate them in the context of hairloss for years, but then to find out you really never knew them. Oh well.
  21. You really sound like a paranoid schizophrenic. Enjoy the misdemeanor for violating New York state lockdown. I guess when you're in the ICU intubated on a ventilator, at least you'll have a full head of hair. People are dying in their 30s now. Don't be a moron. I'm going to try my best to ignore your comments from now on.
  22. Seriously. If you need help there are resources. You really don't sound stable.
  23. True statement, and so ironic that you would have it as your first sentence. Take it easy there Ayn Rand. Libertarian and sociopath are two sides of the same coin. Good luck with your anarchist philosophy in New York, things are going to get messy. You sound like you might be in the early stages of a breakdown. Do you have a good support network?
