  1. Dr Bhatti a couple of surgeons before (Dr Armani and I think Dr Feller) have claimed that clippers can cause traction alopecia by pulling on the grafts. What is your take on this and what are your instructions to your patients about shaving the recipient area post op?
  2. It does....especially when you are a pom living in Oz.
  3. If you soften the hairline with 500 grafts FUE, I think it would look awesome. The hairline is prob a bit harsh but not overly so, and as you only need a few hundred grafts, you'll still have lots of donor hair left over, especially as you only had 2400 first time round. I would say go for it. You're on meds and the rest of your hair looks stable with no hint of crown loss. The hairline is the most important part of a HT so if it is worrying you (and people are calling out HT) I would fix it. For me Dr Feriduni does amazing hairline repair work, but his waiting list is exceptionally long.
  4. Yeah FUE in the right hands looks scarless to the untrained eye when buzzed at a #1 There are no doubt cases where the "white dots" are visible to the untrained eye, but if you take 100 FUT and 100 FUE patients and buzz down to a #1 of #2, significantly more of Jo public will notice something untoward with the FUT patients than the FUE patients. As for buzzing, a lot of people don't realize how good a buzz cut can look until they try. With a fully restored hairline from FUE, a buzz cut can look awesome on some guys.
  5. What I like about Dr Reddy is his conservative use of grafts...you very rarely see a procedure of over 3k from him, yet the results never look like the patient could have done with more grafts. Him and Dr Bisanga are the best around in my view for those looking for a conservative approach to FUE.
  6. Here is another link which indicates from Janna (Snr Tech from Shapiro) that Shapiro are closing the yield gap between FUT & FUE Dr. Paul Shapiro-8 Months FUE RESULT ? 2226grafts/4497hairs - Dr. Paul Shapiro - Hairtransplant Doctors - Click on a Doctors name to view their results - Hairloss Experiences Hairloss Forum
  7. At six months things were looking on track and since then there does not appear to have been any progress. I think you said you were on about 85% yield but it appears considerably less than that, 3223 grafts should have produced a much more cosmetically acceptable result. Really sorry it has not turned out the way you wanted (so far).
  8. Not to get into another fue/fut debate (!), but counting Dr F's posted results since beginning of 2012 he has posted 34 FUE results and 15 FUT results and the rest are FUT/FUT combos....so does seem to be a trend towards him performing more FUE.
  9. Dr Feriduni's waiting list for a consultation is over a year, may not even get one now till 2017.
  10. I think you need to put a big disclaimer on that bud. Dr Feller is presenting facts based on his own perspective / experience just as Dr Bhatti is presenting facts based on his own perspective with FUE and experience. My question for you is to what extent is Dr Feller's assertions more objectively factual than Dr Bhatti's with reference to clinical studies and data? (Ie can you demonstrate how Dr Feller's assertions are more supported by data than Dr Bhatti's in regards to FUT popularity, his three forces claim, FUE density compared with FUT etc) If you can't you should qualify your statement that he is presenting true facts (and the same goes for the Dr B camp too)
  11. I wouldn't go to a doctor who doesn't speak English (I.e Dr Doganay). Being able to communicate with the doctor is something I would not compromise on. Dr De Reys is good and does manual FUE I believe. I would also consult with Dr Demisroy who is possibly the best FUE doc in the world in his price range. PS if you haven't done so already check out this informative thread on doc de reys http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/177708-extracting-grafts-dr-de-reys-1640-grafts-fue.html
  12. Hey Dr Feller, what is your view on buzzing the recipient before 12 months? I think you have said many years ago that you don't recommend it and I'm wondering if you are still of that view, and if so why? (I was of the opinion that after 14 days the grafts were permanent as per Dr Bernstein's study and using clippers would have no affect on the grafts)
  13. Is it bht or scalp hair that is captured in this Bhatti vid?
  14. Wow thats a lot of money. Think Feriduni and Lorenzo are not that much cheaper though? I think Feriduni is closer to 5 euros a graft, but I may be wrong...
  15. Not to detract from this thread either, but I don't know why anyone would go to Hasson & Wong for FUE (based on their inexperience in this area and lack of results) unless they are being offered massive discounts so H&W can promote their FUE. Not to say H&W won't become Kings of FUE in a few years time however.
  16. It does appear at some point (towards the latter stages of his role as a moderator) that Blake would have had a conflict of interest due to his association with a predominantly FUT based practice. Now, whether that was disclosed to Bill or the community is something I don't know. Also I'm not sure Blake necessarily said anything to profit from his association with Feller, so even though there may have been a conflict of interest at some point, I don't think Blake has acted on it in bad faith.
  17. Bill, The removal / reediting of the video is taking the debate backwards rather than forwards.
  18. I read it too. I hope he re posts it. It made very relevant points. Doc please reinstate it. You don't have to participate further in the debate.
  19. Dr Vories must be playing with the dark arts to have overcome Feller's forces!
  20. If you like your hair short then going for FUT doesn't make sense. The surgeon you have consulted with is not a big proponent of FUE so of course he is going to steer you towards FUT FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) Procedures - SaratogaHair I would seriously consult with a lot more docs. Your hair loss pattern also does not lend itself to having a transplant at this stage (IMO), for the reasons Swooping has given.
  21. Beautiful work, so natural, no one in a million years wold guess this patient had a hair transplant.
  22. I will have to double check but I think in his video with a former poster who shall not be named, Dr Shapiro said one in four strip scars will stretch.
