  1. Aaaaaahhhahahahahahaha ! I would have LOVED to see the look on BUSA's face when he read that question. BUSA has never had a hair transplant. He's got as much personal experience of HTs as he has of walking on the moon. He is, however, very biased towards Dr. Erdogan because he's hoping to book or already has booked a procedure with that particular doctor. Dr. Erdogan is perfectly competent and has some kickass results but, as others with far, FAR more personal experience of HTs than BUSA have told you; 5,000 grafts on a younger guy whose baldness patterns aren't fully defined yet is reckless at best and downright negligent at worst. If you're going to take advice from BUSA on HTs you might as well take advice on stock futures from a butcher.
  2. I'm not lecturing anyone; you can do what you like. I only asked why you do it. As for my comments about "donkey results", it's just another term for what the surgeons and their reps call a "sub-optimal result". My version just leaves out the sugar-coating and tells it like it is. I asked why you do it I myself have been on the receiving end of not one but TWO of your stalky little PMs asking for my first surgeon's details after I clearly said I didn't want to name him. I ignored the first on 4th December hoping you'd just disappear off somewhere but lo & behold, on the 19th December, you repeated your request. I couldn't understand why you thought I'd tell you by PM as if we were best buddies in class or something and it would be our little secret. Anyway, as I said, do what you like but people don't like being stalked.
  3. Take it any way you like - I don't much care - but I'm just letting you know that you just come across as a bit of a creep. If people would rather not divulge info about their surgeon, you should just respect their wishes rather than try to cajole them into doing it by PM as if you can be trusted to keep their confidence or something.
  4. What is it with you and wanting to know surgeons' names even after patients have clearly indicated they don't want to divulge them? I'm not being hostile but it strikes me as weird how you think divulging info by PM is somehow different to doing so on the main forum. What does the patient have to gain by telling you the identity of his surgeon? Anyway, if I was the patient, I'd run a country mile in the opposite direction to this surgeon and his practice. In an ideal world, the surgeon should not only be present during the procedure but he/she should actually be doing ALL the important aspects; extractions, recipient incisions and administering anaesthesia. Lately, however, clinics and their reps have slowly, quietly moved the goalposts to the point where more and more patients think it's ok to have techs do the everything but strip closures and anaesthesia. The patient should count himself very lucky that he's been told now and not on the day of the procedure. He should take his hard-earned money down the street to a professional
  5. General anaesthesia administered anywhere but in a fully equipped facility is highly, HIGHLY inadvisable. If there are complications, it is imperative that all the essential equipment is at hand to avoid fatalities. The account I read on this forum from a patient being put to sleep at Dr. Doganay's clinic didn't read like he'd been given the option although it is possible he simply couldn't remember. I'm sure his techs are perfectly competent but THEY AIN'T SURGEONS. Patients are paying for a procedure by the guy with his name above the door and on the clinic's medical licence. They're not paying for techs to extract FUs, to make incisions or implant grafts. I suppose it's ok if the surgeon's there to oversee them but if he's off "on a break" when the patient wakes up, it's gotta be worrying. Lorenzo does his own extractions and incisions as does Bisanga as does Feriduni as does Mwamba. None of them would be able to do their work without techs but their techs are there to provide support not shoulder the responsibility of carrying out crucial aspects of the surgery like extraction of FUs and recipient incisions. I asked my surgeon point blank during the consultation "Who is gonna do the surgery; you or your techs?" Without a second's hesitation, he answered, "Me" and I got exactly what I paid for.
  6. Well in your case for starters, he's made an ethically questionable judgment call by advising so many grafts at such a young age. It's something he's done with younger patients on more than one occasion. Some posters like BUSA seem to think that's not a problem but most with some experience of HTs know it really IS
  7. 1, Dr. Doganay has more than his fair share of average to poor results because his techs do the work - not him. 2. Of course techs are part of every surgeon's practice but PERSONALLY I wouldn't want to pay my money and have a tech doing the FUE extractions because I'm paying for the DOCTOR'S experience. 3. There's plenty of material to back up the things I've said - just run through the 'results posted by patients" sub-forum. They're there for all to see - even by clowns like you. People who've been put under for their procedure; mega sessions with terrible yields. 4. "ur", "wats"??? - Are you 12 years old? BUSA, tell us . . . have you actually HAD A HAIR TRANSPLANT???? No I didn't think so. You always leap to the defence of the Turkish doctors because you've booked with one and don't like to feel that your inability to pay for the Lorenzos, Bisangas and Feridunis could mean you end up with a poor result.
  8. Turkey isn't especially dangerous so don't let that deter you. What may cause you some concern is the fact that some patients have complained about being knocked out for their surgery only to awaken and find the doctor is nowhere to be seen and that his tech team members are doing the extractions and implantations in his absence. For sure, Doganay has had some very good results but he's also had some donkeys a few of which can be found on here by doing a search or two. Just to get you started, check out results for BFA316. He had 5,000 grafts too; check out his 10 month results. Not cool My suspicion is that if the doctor actually did the work rather than his techs, the clinic's results would be every bit as good as those which got him recommended status on this forum.
  9. Don't do 5,000; it's madness. Go with the doc who told you 2,000. Just waiting for "BUSA" to ride to Erdogan's defence.
  10. Bullshit Everyone's different with their own unique requirements. You don't know how many grafts he needs, whether he's on meds or the extent of his baldness but somehow you feel knowledgeable enough to give a cast iron recommendation for a technique? I've had both - FUT is barbaric and I didn't get that great a result after waiting a long time and being described as a slow grower. Luckily I have an incredibly discreet scar. Could've been a lot worse. I had a second procedure using FUE; growth started bang on 4 months and I got an excellent yield. Growth is ongoing, looking good and I've got 4 months until the 12 month mark and final result I can't say that FUE is definitely the best for HIM but I don't think you can either.
  11. Seems the problem where it takes an age to get photos to load in threads is back once again. Given that pictures are among the chief reasons people use the site, one would have thought the owners would pull their fingers out, stop being so bloody stingy and spend some money to rectify the problems. Mercifully, clinics seem to post their results on several hair loss sites so we can still view pics without having to devote an hour to waiting for them to load here but there are posters and topics running here that I, for one, would like to keep up with. Sort it out; spend some money
  12. Looks like the site's back with the super-long load times for pictures. Can't they just spend some money and get decent software? Nice result by the way
  13. The guy needs to spend top dollar with a Top 5 FUE surgeon that does his own extractions and incisions. Rahal doesn't fit that description, nor does Erdogan or Doganay.
  14. You're right; the evidence presented in support of the patient's complaint is seriously light. If I was the surgeon, I wouldn't feel obliged to offer anything free at this point because there's little in the way of conclusive proof - especially after 5 years - to lay blame at the surgeon's door. I feel for the guy but there's not enough info here; maybe he didn't take his meds, maybe his aftercare was crap. Too many maybes. He needs to get over it and book FUE in Europe to sort his frontal third. If he wants a proper assessment, he needs to provide half decent photos that show the current state of his head.
  15. Dr. Path doesn't do FUE. He's a great doctor but his techs tend to do most of the heavy lifting. The only thing he does exclusively is the strip excision and wound closure and from what I've seen, those are fantastic. 88mph, if you only want to do this once, go elsewhere. Go to Belgium, see Bisanga, Mwamba, Feriduni etc. They're more expensive but you'll get what you pay for. Check out past Dr. Path patients Jason5, akuma and wb280. If you scrimp on costs, you increase the likelihood of ending up in a chair again within 12-18 months
  16. No one said that slow growing was BS; only that it's wheeled out too many times to excuse shoddy work. Clearly there's been improvement in this patient's result but is it a result that puts you in mind of Rahal, the hairline king? My answer would have to be "Hell, no"
  17. Yeah I suppose it does look a bit sparse but, again, 1000 grafts was never going to provide thick, opaque coverage on an area that size.
  18. Well to be fair, it was only 1000 grafts and the area isn't particularly small. Add in the fact that the patient's hair appears wet or gelled.
  19. I wouldn't actually wish a bad HT on someone but I thought the sentiment was in keeping with the childish behavior of this particular poster who seems to go out of his way to antagonize others who are just trying to find what's best for them and their circumstances.
  20. Well said, bro. The guy's a complete douchebag. I told him EXACTLY the same thing about his use of textspeak on an adult forum. I have to ask if he's even old enough to have started losing his hair. He's never even HAD a transplant yet he roams through the forum talking shit like he's a veteran. Frankly, I'd LOVE it if he went to one of the Turkish docs and they let a blind chimp tech do the extractions on the strength that it was supervised by the surgeon. I can just see him crying like a pussy with 20% yield and no donor left. I've seen plenty of donkey results from both Doganay and Erdogan that are completely at odds with the unbelievable results they posted when they first joined the recommended list. All surgeons have poor results but the Turkish clinics seem to have more than their fair share.
  21. With the exception of one or two recommended docs, India is the place to go if you want an "OK" result commensurate with a bottom dollar budget. You DO get what you pay for. Go see Lorenzo, Feriduni, Mwamba, Bisanga, Konior, Feller etc and you'll likely come away with a gold standard result. Go with the Indians and the Turks and you could end up with a great result at half the cost of the premier league guys but you run a greater chance of ending up gutted and facing the prospect of having to do a repair. Frankly, I think the Turkish docs are massively overrated and the forum has a number of so-so results that bear little resemblance to the flurry of killer results pics that accompanied their arrival onto the recommended list. Rumours about techs doing extractions and incisions don't instill confidence either. Thailand has a couple of world class docs and, given the quality of the results they produce, I don't think they're expensive at all.
