  6. Hi Manoj, You have gotten some good advise from gillenator and UKLad81. Cost should be a factor in finalizing the HT Surgeon but definitely not the first and foremost factor. The skill level and past Patient results of the HT Surgeon are way more important. FYI.....not sure about Delhi HT pricing but below is the link to Darling Buds India (Dr. Bhatti) pricing models. INR 99 per graft, which translates to about $1.55 per graft. Hair Transplant Cost in India, Affordable FUE Costs & Prices We wish you all the best, Regards, California
  7. Hi Squidward, I am sure that you will get some solid advise from the Forum users regarding the HT Surgeons, travel logistics etc. I am sure that you will agree that the HT Surgeon selection should be based upon the quality of the Doctor's work first and the price next and not the other way round. I wanted to address your question in regards to travel to India/Dr. Bhatti's Clinic. We (Darling Buds India, Clinic) are happy to help our Patients with the logistical support. Here is how it goes: 1. Apply for an Indian visa. (Very simple online application process. Receipt gets emailed to you and then your passport gets stamped with a visa when you arrive in India) 2. Fly from the US to New Delhi (we are happy to suggest websites etc. to make the booking). 3. Fly from New Delhi to Chandigarh (about 40 minute flight) or we have a cab receive the Patient at the New Delhi airport and drive down to Chandigarh (about 4 hours drive). If the Patient chooses to fly from New Delhi to Chandigarh, then we have the Clinic send a car to receive the Patient at Chandigarh airport and drive him/her to the hotel. 4. We are happy to make the hotel reservations for the Patient at a hotel of their choice (we offer recommendations) 5. We provide the local transportation (between the hotel and the Clinic) We pride ourselves on being with our Patients every step of the way. At no point, should our Patient feel lost/overwhelmed. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions and/or concerns that you might have. I will be happy to help. I wish you all the best. Regards, California

  9. Hi itxrd, Thank you for sharing your 6 month post-op update. To me, your HT progress seems to be as expected at this point of time. You have a few more months of growth and thickening to go. I am sure that it will only get better from here. I am glad that you are in touch with Dr. Bhatti. We are always available to answer any questions and/or concerns that you might have. Please do keep the updates coming. Best regards, California
  10. Hi sadhairlossman, I can speak only for our Clinic (Dr. Bhatti/Darling Buds India). Dr. Bhatti usually targets the "shadowy area of the chin" or the underside of the chin for extractions. Regarding the scarring in the area, I have not seen any. I have personal experience with this. I had 300 grafts extracted from the underside of my chin and planted just behind my hairline. Attaching a picture of my chin (donor area) just a few weeks after the procedure. As you can tell, the beard density has gone down because of the grafts being taken out but there is no scarring. I am of South East Asian origin. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Best regards, California
  11. Hi Jooeey, You might find this discussion thread interesting. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/188428-beard-body-head-hair-transplant.html I am copy/pasting an excerpt from the above mentioned thread here: Dr. Bhatti has a very different approach to a client with a balding issue, which he feel shall be progressive in the long term. He encourages all his Patients with a long term plan for their progressive balding to allow him to harvest beard grafts (besides scalp grafts of course) for a better hairline definition and mid-scalp fill and to keep their remaining scalp grafts as a rain check for future requirements especially in the crown. For example, for a 25 year old Patient, with a type 3 pattern baldness, Dr. Bhatti would plant scalp grafts within the first 1.5 cm along the hairline, mix scalp grafts with beard grafts in a laid down optimal ratio till the highest point of the head. For the crown area he would encourage the Patient to accept a low density preferably with chest grafts or chest grafts with a sprinkling of scalp grafts. He never uses beard hair for the crown area. It is only to be used for the mid-scalp and just behind the hairline. For Dr. Bhatti, “only ABC is GOOD”. (A- Axilla, B- Beard, C-Chest). He is not fond of using any hair other than beard, chest and axilla (in this order of preference) since leg, arm, belly hair, in his experience, take a long time to grow if at all. In darker racial group he does not venture outside the ‘shadow area’ of the beard which lies on and behind the jawline and above the Adam’s apple due to the possible risk of visible scarring. Given the fact that in a second session (FUE), you can harvest usually half the number of grafts again after a gap of 6 months, realization shall dawn upon you that an average patient (except East Asian) has a large donor area just waiting to be harvested. This realization is fast becoming the game changer today in the field of surgical hair restoration. As a result of this, more and more clinics the world over are busy honing their skills to harvest more and more body grafts with lesser and lesser transection rates. Time is also of the essence and therefore the growing demand for motorized systems, especially the Safe Scribe which is simple, safe and efficient. Body hair, mostly alone, has been routinely used at our clinic for the following indications: 1. Extensive baldness with a poor donor area of the scalp and, 2. Camouflaging wide FUT scars. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards, California
  12. 29 years old Indian male with type 6 pattern received 2834 scalp and 340 beard grafts for the hairline and mid scalp 8 months back. He had a low scalp density and paucity of body grafts and hence his procedure was planned over 2 stages. Results seen with overhead lighting to give a realistic picture in such cases. The message is that even with low density the illusion of fullness is sustainable in such difficult cases. Best regards, California

You will always find out just an email or a phone call away. p.s I suggest that you purchase the post-op medication in Chandigarh itself. It is way cheaper there as compared to the Western countries. 23. Hi Swaminathan, Thank you for sharing your HT story with this Forum. Since it has been over a year since you got your HT procedure done with Dr. Bhatti, you must have some decent results to show for it (even though as you have mentioned in your post, you had your reasons to go with a lesser number of grafts than what the doctor had recommended). Can you please share your pre-op, post-op and recent pictures. That would be highly appreciated. Best regards, California
