  1. Hi zkaka, Sharing with you an older link to BHT discussion on this forum. Dr. Bhatti (Darling Buds, India) routinely performs BHT procedures with a high success rate. http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/179526-questions-bht-3.html I am copy/pasting an excerpt from the above mentioned thread here: Dr. Bhatti has a very different approach to a client with a balding issue, which he feel shall be progressive in the long term. He encourages all his Patients with a long term plan for their progressive balding to allow him to harvest beard grafts (besides scalp grafts of course) for a better hairline definition and mid-scalp fill and to keep their remaining scalp grafts as a rain check for future requirements especially in the crown. For example, for a 25 year old Patient, with a type 3 pattern baldness, Dr. Bhatti would plant scalp grafts within the first 1.5 cm along the hairline, mix scalp grafts with beard grafts in a laid down optimal ratio till the highest point of the head. For the crown area he would encourage the Patient to accept a low density preferably with chest grafts or chest grafts with a sprinkling of scalp grafts. He never uses beard hair for the crown area. It is only to be used for the mid-scalp and just behind the hairline. For Dr. Bhatti, “only ABC is GOOD”. (A- Axilla, B- Beard, C-Chest). He is not fond of using any hair other than beard, chest and axilla (in this order of preference) since leg, arm, belly hair, in his experience, take a long time to grow if at all. In darker racial group he does not venture outside the ‘shadow area’ of the beard which lies on and behind the jawline and above the Adam’s apple due to the possible risk of visible scarring. Given the fact that in a second session (FUE), you can harvest usually half the number of grafts again after a gap of 6 months, realization shall dawn upon you that an average patient (except East Asian) has a large donor area just waiting to be harvested. This realization is fast becoming the game changer today in the field of surgical hair restoration. As a result of this, more and more clinics the world over are busy honing their skills to harvest more and more body grafts with lesser and lesser transection rates. Time is also of the essence and therefore the growing demand for motorized systems, especially the Safe Scribe which is simple, safe and efficient. Body hair, mostly alone, has been routinely used at our clinic for the following indications: 1. Extensive baldness with a poor donor area of the scalp and, 2. Camouflaging wide FUT scars. Please let me know if you have any questions. Best regards, California
  2. Hi Mattinahat, I know that Dr. Bhatti is always prompt with responding to Patient queries. Since you had mentioned that you had not received an answer from him (to your request for Patient pictures), I ran your question by Dr. Bhatti. He said that you specifically desired only scalp grafts for the FUT scar. Dr. Bhatti likes to use mainly beard grafts to camouflage the scar. 65% of those grafts come from the Patient's beard (with a sprinkle of scalp grafts). That is what works best for Dr. Bhatti and his Patients. If you are looking to use specifically scalp grafts only, then we do not have any such Patient cases to share with you. We will offer only what we know well and what we know works. Also, as Shera has pointed out, the percentage of scar repair Patients is very low and hence examples are not readily available. Please feel free to reach out to us with any other questions. Regards, California
  3. Patient: 25 years old HT technique used: FUE Number of scalp grafts planted: 1435 Areas targeted for restoration: Hairline and temple points The "after" pictures are from 16 months post-op. Here is the link to the YouTube video: Best regards, California
  4. Hi Matt, Sorry to hear about your bad HT experiences so far. I suggest that you share some pictures of the FUT scar and your donor areas so that the Forum members can give you their advise/suggestions. I wish you all the best. Regards, California
  5. Hi Punk, As pointed out by Speegs, getting on meds would be advisable. In regards to realistic expectations, unfortunately your donor does not look promising. I think that you will need to tap into your body hair in addition to your scalp donor. Between the scalp and BHT, you should be able to achieve a decent hairline and mid-scalp HT. It seems that your expectations are not too high and that does help. No matter how you slice and dice it, an HT will never be able to restore the hair of your youth. It can however dramatically improve your appearance. I wish you all the best. Regards, California
  6. Hi jimbrann, Yes, aloe vera is known to have a soothing effect in the recipient area. Sharing with you a link to post-op instructions from Dr. Bhatti. As you can tell from these detailed instructions, aloe vera has a definite role to play in the post-op process. Wishing you all the best. Best regards, California

  12. Since most of our clients come from various corners of the world, we often do not get them to visit our clinic post-op and most end up sending us their pictures for review. For instance, here is a 23 years old young man with Sikh Pattern Traction Alopecia treated 9 months ago with 1813 scalp grafts for the hairline and temples. Previously, less confident and shy because of his receded hairline/ baldness but now, he is a happy young man and doing well in his professional and personal life as per the last email that we received from him. Hair does change the quality of your life! Especially, when you are able to get it back after losing it! Regards, California
  13. Hi Great1Stan, Thank you for sharing your HT updates. Please do keep sharing your HT journey. We wish you all the best. Regards, California

  15. Hi Jimbraan, You make a valid point but since a large percentage of Dr. Bhatti's Patients come to our Clinic from other countries, it is not logistically feasible to have an in person consultations before hand. That said, we have a pretty well structured process in place whereby Dr. Bhatti reviews closeup pictures of the Patient's donor and recipient areas (with Skype consultations if and when needed) before making his recommendations. This process works very well for our Patients and our Clinic but then there will be some exceptions such as this particular Patient, where an actual sample testing needs to be done before making a final call. Best regards, California
  16. Hi Colin, Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am sorry that you were not able to get your HT procedure done by Dr. Bhatti. With all due respect, the title of your post seems to be misleading. I would not call it a "fail FUE procedure" .....more like a "No FUE procedure". Thank you for your kind words about Dr. Bhatti. Thanks also for sharing that Dr. Bhatti had warned you before you booked your procedure with him that he might not be able to help you. We always try our best to be as transparent as possible. We strive hard to provide excellent HT results to all our Patients and when we feel that that is not possible, we don't hesitate to say so. Not every hair loss sufferer is a good HT candidate. That is just a fact. As you have yourself mentioned, getting an FUE procedure done on African American hair can be challenging. We believe that some afrotextured hair is not favorably disposed for an FUE procedure due to the s-shaped bend of the shaft under the skin. We do not want to risk high transection rates. We would never want to "gamble" with a Patient's precious grafts. That is why unless and until Dr. Bhatti is highly confident about the good results from an HT procedure, he would not take it on. I can understand your disappointment and frustrations. But I dread to imagine a scenario where the doctor would have moved forward with the procedure as is and then a few months down the road, you would have ended up with less than an optimal result. On top of that, you would have lost the grafts that were harvested/planted. For the record, Dr. Bhatti has performed many HT procedures for African and African American Patients with excellent results but we would rather err on the side of caution. That is where the initial testing comes in. We wish you all the best. Regards, California
  17. Dear Forum Members, Today we would like to present this latest FUE hair transplant result by Dr. Tejinder Bhatti and the team at Darling Buds, India. This Patient came to see Dr. Bhatti about his hair loss and presented a NW7 pattern with signs of temple point degradation. Dr. Bhatti designed a new hairline that would be very conservative and was high up enough on the scalp to not require temple point work. Dr. Bhatti and his team extracted 2415 grafts from his scalp donor region and 432 grafts from his beard below his jawline. The result you see is one year after the procedure as he returned to get his crown area addressed. During consultations the patient had inquired about having a lower hairline and adding temple points. Knowing when to avoid temple point work is one of the requirements for good hairline design. Had this hairline been lower he would have a final result that would be similar to that of a hair system as "wigs" can give the appearance of a lower hairline but they cannot replicate the temple points that would normally be found on lower hairlines. Patients like this should consider coverage first and realize that temple points are not only a luxury they should only be created after the rest of the work is done. In the meantime he already looks almost ten years younger because his face is frame in a natural aspect. Thank you for viewing this latest result by Dr. Tejinder Bhatti and Darling Buds. Here is a YouTube link to this Patient case: Best regards, California

  19. Hi Lalit, Your HT results with Dr. Bhatti look great and we are very happy for you. Just out of curiosity, after getting excellent results from your first HT procedure with Dr. Bhatti, what motivated you to go with a different HT Surgeon for your second procedure. We wish you a wonderful HT result this time around too. Best regards, California

  22. Hi using this name, As mentioned before, this Patient is a celebrity in India (Film and TV show Director). I am not sure how easy or hard it would be to contact him. Did you have any specific questions for him? Best regards,
  23. Hi Prime209, Good to hear from you. Congrats on your upcoming wedding. We wish you all the best. Would you happen to have any recent pictures without the hair shaved/trimmed down before you got your recent second procedure done? Would be interesting to see how your hairline looked like 3.5 years after your HT with Dr. Bhatti. Also, can you please point me to the recent thread that you have opened to describe your second HT procedure. I was not able to find it. Again, good wishes and best of luck. Regards, California
  24. Dear Forum Members, Here is a link to the YouTube video for this Patient case. Best regards, California
  25. Hi HTsoon, 3206 scalp grafts were used for this Patient's procedure. He does have a decent supply of donor hair left, if needed for future procedure. This Patient used to have a similar hairstyle (as now) before he lost his hair. His preferred hair style was taken into consideration. Aim was to give him as much coverage as possible with the relatively smaller number of donor grafts (3206). Best regards, California
