  1. Doug, How many grafts would he have left? You said another 2500 - 3000 grafts would finish him off... Is that all he had left for donor? Either way thanks for showing this result gives a reasonable expectation for higher norwoods.
  2. I believe Dr.Rahal is now about 50-50 when it comes to FUE and FUT. The better question is what area of the head are you trying to address. Because if its the hairline you would be choosing wisely since he is the "hairline king"
  3. I would definitely go with Dr.Cooley whether it be FUT of FUE. Lots of great results and his documentation of results are best practice. I also feel that Dr.Cooley produces great results with using fewer graphs.
  4. Congrats Cueball16. Looks great! And thanks for giving back to the community.
  5. Nice result. Very interesting how much donor damage was done with such a small FUE procedure.
  6. I think that 2000 grafts would have sufficed not 3010. 1500 grafts in the front and 500 in the crown or not even addressed the crown. There has been 3 or 5 results in the past week that have been posted that were a Norwood 3 - 4 with significantly less grafts (1800 - 2400) that made as impactful or more of a cosmetic change and left the patient with a significant amount of graphs to combat further loss. This patient had a really good head of hair beforehand and if he is on Propecia and decides to discontinue use of the drug will have used up 3000 grafts for a one inch hairline and a sprinkling of grafts in the crown. If this patient has a donor of 8000 grafts and has used 38%(3010 grafts). Do you think its wise he used 38% of his donor on amazing hairline that will look unnatural if he becomes a Norwood 5 -6.
  7. This is going to be a killer result. Awesome that Hasson and Wong are aboard the FUE train.
  8. I just think you could have got a similar result with less grafts. But I commend Arocha hair, ASMED , Hasson and Wong and some other clinics that consistently post results. The more results posted the greater the chance of criticism whether warranted or not warranted. For this community it is great that some clinics show results for different ethnicity, hair characteristics, age , gender etc.
  9. Looks like in the after pics that he got transplanted the first inch of the hairline and reconstructed the temple points. Seems like 2000 grafts would have sufficed not 3010 grafts. If he loses more hair and becomes a Norwood 4 - 5 he will be hooped.
  10. Really like that they posted this result shows what to expect for FUE scarring and what grade is optimal. I like that the ASMED clinic posts so many results. Some are home runs, some are doubles and triples but at least they post frequently with great documentation.
  11. I agree with starscream. 3100 grafts for the extent of balding seems like a waste of grafts . But hard to say without seeing the post op and how far back the grafts went.
  12. I think you will end up with a great result with the added grafts. Congrats.
  13. Bill, Do you think that the price of FUE will go down in the future at quality hair restoration clinics?
  14. Interesting.I never ever see results from Dr.Gillespie. With Dr.Wong you went with best and I think if your tapped out on FUT graphs you probably get some grafts by FUE>
  15. With the many advancements/impressive results of FUE does it make sense to have FUT unless its over 4000 grafts? Looking at doctors recommended on this site and other sites I can only think of a few doctors that aren't doing FUE/FUT procedures and there is quite a shift of clinics being FUE exclusive. Hasson/Wong who have long been the gold standard are showing(limited) great results of FUE and FUE/FUT combined results. Also, in time I imagine there will be more breakthroughs in tools and robotics that could improve results and possibly lower the price of FUE. There should be less overhead for a FUE surgery because you wouldn't need to pay technicians. Obviously there are cheap FUE surgeons around the world more talking about quality hair transplant doctors that hair mills.
  16. I can definitely see progress and I think you will be pleasantly surprised after 12 - 18 months. It would be interesting like other members have said to see where you started from. I'm assuming you live in Alberta because you chose Dr.Gilepsie. Did you think about Dr.Nakatsui? Also was there a big difference between Dr.Gilepsie and Dr. Wong. Clinic, pain, cost etc.
  17. Looking good. When are you going in for round #2?
  18. Also ,does the Hans implanter Pen help with speed? 6000 grafts via fue over 2 days for the same patient is impressive.
  19. Dr.Vories, What about the crown post op shots? Like I said this result will give lots of guys that have thick hair and lots of hair loss hope. I follow and have researched Dr.Lorenzo (Top 5 FUE doctor on any list) and for this amount of loss his patients receive 7000 - 12 000 fue and still some have bald spot and or very thin in certain spots. Again would love more detailed post ops.
  20. Do you have anymore pictures of the Post Op especially crown shots? The one picture you posted only shows the top of the transplant with no crown shots. You would think this patient would need at least 8000 + grafts.
  21. Thanks esrec for the information. Ilikemyhair, I need to go see a doctor to make sure its because of proscar. I have some allergic reactions and had to take prednisone for almost a year.
  22. I've been on finasteride since 22 years of age. I've noticed now for the last 2 years(32 now) that I've been having side effects. I was looking at the Hasson and Wong website and that they have a topical finasteride. Has anyone tried it? Any feedback would be great. I don't belive its available in the States.
  23. I was reading an old thread about Dr.Konior and it discussed that Dr.Gabel trained with Dr.Konior. Out of curoristy what other doctors have been trained or apprenticed by recommended doctors?
  24. Sethicles, for your last hair transplant you should have a FUT. Just joking, your results look really good man.
