  1. Dr. Feller, When you say that current thinking among leading hair transplant doctors is to perform FUT before FUE why are some doctors like Lorenzo etc FUE majority?
  2. This is going to be a great result Dutchie. Did Dr. Hasson say why he wasn't a fan of minoxidill?
  3. I also checked the doctors website out that did it. The best part was that Ed Olcyk the hockey player had crown thinning and the after photo was only of his hairline. Urlacher definitely looks like he is using a lot of concealer. Urlacher only got 3800 grafts and looks like he was a high Norwood beforehand. But as mentioned before its great that people in the public eye are stepping out and 1)showing their results 2)talking about hairloss
  4. Noticed today that football player Brian Urlacher and hockey player Ed Olcyzk have had hair transplants recently. Just Google their names/hair transplant to view. Wish more athletes/celebrities would come out and say they've had work done.
  5. I think there is superstars in the field of hair restoration that have shown years of results and have many hundreds of satisfied patients posting results or commenting. I think if we did a poll on who is the best per whatever diameter the usual suspects including Hasson and Wong would obviously make that list. Again, this isn't a question of should you get a hair transplant with someone who isn't quite on par with another doctor and you might risk having poor yield, a pluggy hairline or over harvesting etc. The question was who is a rising star or underrated doctor. I think Dr. kadendiz is an underrated doctor because he's shown great results and doesn't get mentioned in my opinion enough. I think that Dr.Nakatsui is underrated and is a rising star and could be one of the greats when he is finished. Dr.Wesley I would agree is going to be a superstar and Blakes involvement on this forum at a young age and him working alongside Dr.Feller makes him one to watch for. Maybe that is a better term "one to watch for" than rising star
  6. When I choose to get a hair transplant I will be going with the best surgeon based on published results meeting the doc and patients in person post operative care and follow up The best doctor for what surgery I decide FUT or FUE Cost and travel should never should play a part in doctor selection and wont in mine. I said rising star because if you think how far the hair transplant field has come and the improvement and documentation of results A good doctor in their mid 30s or early 40s in the field restoration should be a great doctor having started with current techniques. 10 - 15 years ago how many great result were being shown on forums such as this and by how many doctors.
  7. no offence taken. I'm not looking for a rising star to do surgery on me. I was just asking the question out of curiosity. At one time Dr.Rahal, Dr. Hasson, Dr.Feller were up and coming doctors in the field of hair restoration.
  8. Many times the question has been asked who is the best doctor for fut/fue etc. My question(s) is who is the most underrated doctor and who is a doctor that is a rising star in the industry? I personally think that Dr.Nakatsui, Dr. Karadeniz and Dr.Josephitis are underrated and rising stars.
  9. Nice result based on the vast landscape to cover! How many grafts would this patient have left and does he plan on coming back for a 2nd procedure.
  10. Hi Arekk, Looks good so far for 5 months. I hope that everything turns out great this go around. Moving forward will you be doing more fue or fut? And what did you think of the difference between the two?
  11. I just looked at your pics from Rahal looks really good! I think this is a great site and the best hair transplant site for prospective/current patients One thing I think that could be improved is the drastic differences between doctor/clinic participation. For example - This patients doctor and or patients posts 1 -2 times a year if that. Other hair transplant clinics post daily , weekly , monthly etc with results or meaningful information.
  12. I agree. Most underrated doctor on the site. Nice to know when it comes time to research hair transplant doctors one of the best is in my backyard. Dr.Nakatsui, do you have any immediate photos after the procedure was finished that shows graft placement?
  13. I'm assuming that you live in Calgary or southern Alberta. If I was you I would consult with some other doctors. Distance to travel should never be an issue but you have two great clinics near by in Hasson and Wong and Dr.Nakatsui (who seems highly underrated).
  14. I think its a good result even though conservative. If you're on Propecia and minoxidill you should be able to keep what you have and in time with no or minor loss be able to increase the density and lower the hairline.
  15. Hard to tell without pre op photos. If you attach pre op photos it will allow members a better point of reference. Did you consult with Dr.Elliott or Nakatsui before deciding on Gillespie?
  16. My doctor has told me that i have maintained my crown and it is stronger on proscar. However i've read blogs and studies that say that proscar has 3-5 year "shelf life". Any thoughts on this?
  17. Just wanted to get some info on the advantages of avodart over proscar. Im currently on proscar and have been on it for 4 years. Has helped my crown not so much my hairline(which I belive is to be expected). I guess my question to the community is which pill you recommend and why?
