  1. Wow! After the first 2 pics I thought it was too few grafts for such a large area.....that's incredible work. I can't imagine how great that will be by month 18. Congrats
  2. In over 10 years on this forum I have never heard of grafts being taken from butt cheeks...?
  3. Looks amazing. Are you able to just get up and go without spending time on styling? Is the crown thick enough? Also - what clinic did you go to?
  4. Look forward to your photos. The title of the thread is a little bit hyperbolic though.
  5. Try Mane thickening spray / root concealer. I've used it for over 10 years and they offer a travel sized option so you can trial it for less money....it works great for me. Don't go for their expensive 'lock in spray' just get some strong hold hairspray from the supermarket and spray it on afterwards. It survives rain and wind until I wash it out.
  6. I agree with early November to make the most of the dark weather. The point about whether the clinic will be mentally checked out waiting for Christmas is an interesting one.....every office I ever worked in basically had a "f**k it, it's Friday" mentality and did nothing on Fridays, but my procedure with Dr Feller was on a Friday (10 years ago yesterday!) and it was a first class experience and turned out great. I think the professionalism of the reputable clinics means you'll get their full attention no matter when you sit in the chair.
  7. Looked great in Feb....any final updates? I'm guessing you forgot you ever had a hair loss problem and you're out enjoying life. Always nice to see results like this from UK doctors
  8. it's already balding, you can see that at 1 minute 13. the problem is the area of the crown and midscalp is as big if not bigger than the hairline....it isn't a smart distribution of your finite donor area. the remaining donor might fix the mid scalp but he could be left with a huge crown and body hair is no guarantee.....if he'd played it safe and had 2,000 grafts in the hairline he'd have an extra 2,500 grafts left in the bank for the problem areas that have already developed. It's an amazing result now for sure but it's risky
  9. at 1 minute 13 when his head tilts forward you can see crown loss and midscalp thinning......seems reckless using that many grafts but maybe his donor is exceptional? Even still, seems like a huge risk to me.
  10. That hairline is too low and square...especially with your age. No reputable doctor would be willing to do that. Take a look through the results posted here from start to finish - you'll be surprised how a hairline that looks too high and receded immediately post-op ends up turning out to look amazing. Please hold off on making any decisions. You've found the right place....you should sit back and do nothing but read, absorb and ask questions for the next 6 months.
  11. Scroll to the top of the page and there should be a notification bell and a letter/mail graphic....click the letter graphic.
  12. Not true. I wore one to go walking around New York the day after my surgery...and the day after that I flew back to the UK. I even kept the cap on the entire flight because of course I happened to be sat next to a stunning girl and I was embarrassed to take it off. No damage to grafts at all.
  13. These are known as concealers because they don't treat hair loss but they conceal / hide it until the next time you wash your hair. Dermmatch is the name of a brand, i haven't used it but i believe it's like make up that you dab onto the scalp. The most well known fibre brand is Topik, you sprinkle them onto your head and it clings on to whatever hair your have left. From what you said about your hair, it sounds like concealers would work very well.
  14. Don't worry! My FUT surgery was a Friday and I flew home on the Sunday so I didn't go back to the clinic. The day after I wore a big loose fitting hat and walked around Manhattan, and the day after that I flew back to the UK. Dr Feller gave me painkillers and shampoo and explained how to wash - I believe it was just use the suds and water on your hand very very lightly rub them across the scalp and grafts, and to not stand underneath the shower head. He also gave me his number and said to call if there were any problems, but it was all fine. i wasn't given spray or anything like that. Just make sure they explain to you what you need to do and don't leave until you are certain you understand. Basically just be very very careful and sensible, it isn't too complicated.
  15. They're great - quick service and the products work. Some people are sceptical about where the products come from ...possibly an unknown lab in china that gets redistributed from the US.....but people on other hairloss forums paid to have the products lab tested privately and it all came back legit. I've used monixdil max for nearly 2 years now and am a happy customer.
  16. You've done the very best thing you can do: consult in-person with recommended doctors. If you aren't sure about Dr Bloxham's comments based on posts here, consult with Wesley or True & Dorin in person too.
  17. Not the first time that poster has had a condescending tone, just ignore them.
  18. 2 weeks, don't know if it makes much difference but it's not worth the risk in my opinion....the worst for me was being in NYC the day before and not being able to have a beer
  19. it does look a bit harsh right now, good growth though. You can always have this tweaked later on if you don't like it. Who was the doctor?
  20. This is why I never comment on Turkey threads...I thought Erdogan was one of the good ones?
  21. Everything looks normal so far. Don't forget that you have very long thick hair around it which makes the transplant look even worse than it normally does at this stage. This is just the beginning. I have always worn my hair long and it took me until 2 years post op until the transplant was chin length and could match the rest of my hair. You have a long road ahead, it's hard but the best advice is to forget about it as much as possible.
  22. Muresanu...I was so impressed when he and I had a video call. Personable but authoratitive and really came across as someone you should trust and respect.
  23. Hangover? I've had many hangovers go from a 6/10 to a 10/10 literally instantly after finishing a Mcdonalds......maybe the rush of energy/excitement brought on the same sort of crash that I get from bad food on a hangover.
  24. This clinic is getting some UK press today with X Factor's Matt Cardle promoting his results with them, first time I heard of them so did a search on here
  25. Consult with Hattingen - they do both FUT and FUE and can offer advice that isn't lent to one technique vs the other. very ethical, very skilled.
