    Dr. Feller, You make a good point, however based upon the supply-demand economics, I disagree on future pricing. As more doctors skillfully practicing FUE emerge, the price will go down since this is simply a supply (doctors) demand (patients) issue.

    Thank you, that certainly is a fantastic price! For 3000 in the US you are looking closer to $10,000. I would wait till you are about 14 months, then go in and have him work between the previous grafts with another 3000, if possible. Best wishes.

    A FUE graft should be max of $8.00 IMO, however given this doc is outside NYC, it is fully understandable that a single graft is similar to the cost of a hot dog on the street.

    Zaz, 3000 is minimal for your level of hair loss, the doctor was spot on - you need 6000-8000 to achieve excellent density. Thus, after 1 year or more it would wise to schedule another session. Also in US dollars how much would 3000 cost? Best of luck.

    I use Just for Men every 6 weeks and never had a problem with anyhair that was grown. No one really knows if it affects changes in the hair cycle - sometimes I think it does; however I prefer to have my hair looking good.

    As with Dr. Lindsey - I did a commercial last year using professional make-up artists and they powdered me up real good!

    Wonderful Job - hairloss for women is so hard IMO; perhaps she can add more?

    Recovery is much easier, I had both - however to assume you won't have shock loss and be totally unnoticable is unpredicatable, for as long as it takes.

    You know, if we could grow hair that long and thick from our nose (and ears), it would be a great donor area!

    Sparky did a great job Photoshopping in the potential results you could get... It must be emphasized that: 1) you will lose some of your native hair if you get a HT - esp. if you are entering MPB stages 2) the result drawn would take probably 2500 grafts minimum. 1200 simply fills in around areas where the density is already low, not in areas of virgin scalp.     The front 1/3 to 1/2 will take about 4000 grafts minimum to give reasonable illusion of density given the advanced hairloss you have. You will do yourself a favor to do at least that amount on the first pass. Best of luck.

    Can't hurt to take Saw P, however the evidence is inconclusive whether it is effective on DHT, some studies have shown effects, while others haven't. Not as effective however as Propecia.

    Fantastic job, however why not just increase the blade # by 1 on the back and keep it tight everywhere else?

    Do you have pictures? "Heavy Propecia side effect" = Please describe how these have lasted since you quita long time ago. "Poor Linear Scar" = pictures would help. "FUE leaving scars" = old argument

    To stay on topic: There is a documented peak and trough in the incidence of hair transplants across the year (season trends). It is well-known that some doctors that perform FUE will adjust their prices accordingly to keep their techs busy. *** Example *** Look for cancellation dates of another patient in which you can get called last minute for a nice discount! So there is no price written in stone, if you think there is, you could of done better!

    TC17, it could of simply been his hypothesis - right or wrong, he is not required to explain his reasoning to us. Why not just assume everyone is expressing their opinion? I understand your comment on low post count suspicions (not on this particular persons post), but you know he may be correct in his guess?

    There would be no difference in TREATMENT if one was a NW 3 or a NW4A. 1) Get on the Big 3 ASAP 2) Get a transplant.
