  1. Bwahahahahahaha, I think they maybe using some famous online HT patients in their pictures next to the propecia ad!
  2. I firmly believe in developing the Mind, Body, Spirit - but you must admit, chicks dig hair Pale, I respect your opinion and personal choice - if I were in my 20s, or early 30s, personally I would not use anything affecting my hormones. Anti-dht (propecia) is good for me at this point for other reasons such as prostate health (I'm hoping). Thank you for your warning however.
  3. If keeping your hair, getting tons of chicks, staying out late partying with the gal pals is what you mean by taking your own life in your hands - I agree!
  4. Dear TTP, I have not replied to date since I was a bit befuddled when comparing your photographic results to the title of this thread. First off, given the level of your hairloss pre-HT, and the condition of the existing hairs, it was likely that the native hair where you had the new grafts placed were going to be sacrificed since they were likely on their way out. Thus, the net of your first transplant (as was with mine) would be the difference. With that said, personally I think you have a great foundation going forward with very little use of your donor supply, especially at your age (I believe similar to mine again). I would wait the 12 months then go see a good FUE doc for 1500 FUE or more, a year from then you will be a happy man. Best wishes.
  5. If you end up having aggressive MPB, "temporary" could mean months to a year - personally, I wouldn't risk it.
  6. Thanks guys - sometimes, all we have left is parody!
  7. Bill, it appears that those with an axe to grind or trying to show they are smarter than everyone else show up in every thread, thus I see no reason to lock this one!
  8. Your lucky he is your friend and not mine or he would be asking about the best dentist for false teeth.
  9. John, Thanks for the heads-up, my wife will be estatic since she loves hand-held battery-powered devices. Yours truly, HH
  10. I LOVE SMG, and that would be my first choice based on quality and price at this point in time... and NO, I am not a patient of theirs, just a closer observer of their actions and words. Thanks B-Spot for your candid post.
  11. This would be my expectations, I had mine for $5.00 by a non-rookie...just for FYI.
  12. You guys are hilarious, I said the same exact thing in my discussion here with Dr. Feller, only with a lot less BS in-between. You guys are easily impressed! LOL
  13. Ronald, We are all in this difficult situation together, although we wish to wake up in the morning with all our hair back - it continues to be a long and often stressful endeavour. Your passion is clear and that is good, there are lots of opinions here - and often from very different perspectives. It is usually best to not get into personal debates, IMO. You did an excellent analysis, however I would say they over-estimate a little since, it is unlikely we will be on these meds for 50 years...I hope! lol. Thanks.
  14. Thanks Bill, I think that my first HT was on virgin scalp it was much more noticable, thanks for the encouragement.
  15. 6-$7 is reasonable and likely to be the price across the board IMO over the long term. Strip use to be very expensive, the prices have plummeted with larger sessions. That is my opinion, and please take your caps off and don't shout.
  16. Bill, what has been your experience in terms of absolute time of "cosmetic" result across your transplants? My 2nd has taken probably 6 months to really notice a change and I am hoping to have more of course. Thanks.
  17. IMO, I would stop taking for a month - by then there should be no impact on sperm. Then work on getting her pregnant, once succesful...start over again. The health of your child will be much more important than any hair you lose, personally - I wouldn't risk it - despite the lack of evidence either way. Best to you and your wife.
  18. Dr. Feller, I am fully confident that FUE will advance and others will understand the value of the proecedure, however I have to disagree - I think your cost estimates only reflect prices in major US cities such as NY or LA. You have a higher cost of labor and other services. Some mid-west clinics can afford to do it much cheaper, and the clients, in general do not have the resources as those in NYC, that I know.
  19. This quote is reserved for selling goods such as sewing needles, NOT Medicine... ridiculous.
  20. Zaz, you are so fortunate to have such a caring and informative doctor. Best.
