  1. Dr Parsley, This is a great result, my kind of work. Not over the top but excellent design and placement. Mick
  2. Dr Arocha simply keeps producing the goods, Long may it continue. Mick
  3. This 40 years-old patient has been using finasteride for 4 years. He has stable hair loss. He is a MBP NW III vertex and his aim was to to repair as much as we can in one session. We did a session of 3101 FUE (7013hairs; 2.26 hair per graft; 0.75 mm punch; 41 to 44 Microns of hair texture). The patient had some red spots and pimples in the crown after 2 weeks, but had good response to the antibiotic treatment and drainage (2 cleanings). The folliculitis is a complication that treated properly and in time, does not have to affect the survival of the grafted units. He is very happy with the outcome Mick VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE:
  4. This is a 33-years-old patient who had been using Finasteride for three years. For the first surgery we choose a conservative approach: 1601 FU’s (3463 hairs; 2.16 hairs/unit; 0.8 mm punch; 54-60 microns of hair). After 2 years he came again to increase the density in frontal and middle area, 1601 FU’s (3463 hairs; 2.1 hair per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 54-60 microns, hair thickness). 5. This was a very challenging and ultimately rewarding case. This is a 51 year old patient not under medical treatments. He had undergone strip surgery previously and has very fine hair quality with limited donor. In cases such as this we have to be very conservative and monitor carefully his donor hair recovery A first procedure was undertaken to the crown and scar with 100 beards BHT (for scar) and 1251 units from scalp (2608 hairs; 1.9 hairs per unit; 0.85 mm punch; 50-55 Micron hair; 231FU1/699FU2/305FU3/16FU4). 11 Months later, we carried out a second procedure for the lower crown and temporal points, 951FU's (2003 hairs; 2.1 hair per graft; 181FU1/505FU2/249FU3/15FU4/1FU5). 6. I forgot to add that this patient originally felt that he had side effects with finasteride. He started on a lower dose 0.5mg /day , no effects and he stabilised his loss. Mick
  7. Johnboy, Most definitely! What I can never really understand is how can someone do that original work to him, what were they thinking? Mick
  8. This was a 2 stage process for this repair patient. He is 37 years old and we originally saw him in 2007 for a HT repair of a treatment carried out 10 years before. We did a 2252 FUE surgery of which 150 were placed on the back scar; we extracted some units as well. Six years later the patient returned to boost further back on the scalp as he did not wish to use hair medications. We added another 1801 units (2730 hairs; 2.62 hair per graft; 54 to 60 microns of hair thickness;with a o.8m punch. 114UF1/ 621UF2/ 907UF3/ 143UF4/ 15UF5/ 1UF6). Mick
  9. This is a 30 year old patient on meds with stable hair loss. A conservative approach was used and we added 2552 grafts which gave 5632 hairs Hair diameter 50 microns and .75m punch was used.380FU1/1301FU2/834FU3/37FU4) Mick
  10. FUE 2014, Thanks for the kind words. He will now be here until September and then back to Spain. I suppose it is get him while you can because what i am now seeing even from his early patients is highly encouraging and in some cases stunning. So much so that i am in the chair on Wednesday with a Farjo-Lorenzo combination. Mick
  11. This shows a hair transplant performed on a 29 years old patient. He started with finasteride before surgery to stabilize the loss.We noted an improvement to his crown as well as one with his overall hair texture with the meds. We carried out a 1525 FUE procedure to cover the frontal area. 1525 FUE (3353 hairs, 2,19 hairs/graft; 0.8-0.85 mm punch), Mick
  12. This patient came to Dr Lorenzo a year before undergoing surgery and was advised initially to consider medications. He returned a year later in a much more stable situation and a surgical strategy was devised. He underwent hair restoration in 2 steps as is usual in these advanced Norwood cases. First procedure 3051 FU’s (6581 hairs; 2.15 hairs/unit; 40-45 microns of hair thickness; 0.75 mm punch, 380 FU1/ 1857FU2/ 769FU3/ 45FU4). Second procedure, 2601 FU’s (5435 hairs; 2.08 hairs/graft; 0.8 mm punch; 394FU1/ 1613FU2 /562FU3/ 31FU4/ 1FU5). Mick
  13. This patient is in his 30's and on Finasteride. He has had 2 procedures over a 5 year period and very happy with the outcome. The first procedure in 2008 gave him 2201 FUE and the second in 2013 yielded 2101 FUE Mick
  14. This patient is in his mid 30's and using Minoxidil. He had excellent donor characteristicS and we were able to carry out a large single procedure over two days of 4004 grafts. The breakdown was as follows (9733 hairs; 2.43 hairs/graft; 55 a 60 microns of hair; 0.8 mm punch; 325 FU1/ 1921 FU2/ 1482 FU3/ 260 FU4/ 16 FU5). Mick
  15. 6324 FUE. Dr. Lorenzo. Injertocapilar-Farjo. This patient is in his mid 30's and been on Finasteride for four years This case was never really straightforward simply because the patient had very poor quality donor hair and fine in texture (48 microns ) Two procedures were undertaken of 3223 FUE which yielded 7,322 hairs 2.28 hairs per graft and a 0.8mm punch was used. One year later a second procedure was carried out with 3101 FUE which gave us 6838 hairs 2.2 hairs per graft.with the 0.8mm punch Mick
  16. Things are coming in nicely, I had a chat on Skype last night with one of Dr Lorenzo's other patients from Australia who had treatment in September,I found it hard to recognise him.He has had excellent early stage growth and i have asked him to send over some pictures. Mick
  17. Here we have a female patient in her 50's with pretty extensive frontal thinning. As in a lot of similar cases we had less than ideal donor but with a smallish session and the help of highlights; we see a much improved situation. The additional shots were patient submitted but I will add a full set at the earliest opportunity. Mick
  18. This patient is in his late 40's with pretty stable loss over the last 15 years. He had always tried to adopt a "mod" style hair cut but found this increasingly difficult to do from the age of 30. We have been talking over the last 2-3 years and just recently he decided that the time was right to do something about it. 2328 FUT 417 1 Hair 1300 2 " 554 3-4 " Mick
