  1. Ok time to come clean,This patient came to us about 10 months ago.Revved up and wanting to get in the chair at the earliest opportunity. We agreed that surgery was an option but Dr Farjo felt that meds were a viable consideration due to his age, degree of loss and family history. The plan was to evaluate and move forward from there.Regaine foam and Finasteride were the choice. We'll done to the eagle eyed on here but step forward my friend Si from BHR, This was a very good spot from you and for your prize i have just made a donation to Douglas McMIllan on your behalf.Well done to all of you and thank you. 7. 5303 FU’s This 36 years-old patient had a diffuse hair loss pattern. He had been on med’s but gave up. We advised to re start finasteride and planned a restoration in 2 steps. A 3301 graft surgery was carried out, inserting in all the areas (6660 hairs; 2.0 hair per graft; 0.8 mm punch: 48 microns of hairs; 764FU1/ 1762FU2/ 728FU3/47FU4). One year later we added 2002 grafts to increase the density, mainly in the crown (4668 hairs; 2.33 hair per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 236UF1; 964UF2; 705UF3; 96UF4; 1UF5). VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE:

  9. This 16 years-old patient come to repair a scar in his right eyebrow after the extraction of a congenitus nevus. We inserted 119 grafts that we extracted behind the ear (0.7 mm punch; 31 FU1; 86 FU2; 2 FU3). VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE:
  10. Repair case This is a 39 year old patient who had two previous surgeries with a less than optimum outcome. This was a difficult repair case because from his older treatment he developed multiple cyst’s and his recipient area was in very poor condition. This could lead to poor graft survival but the patient knew this before proceeding. In the first procedure we inserted 3303 grafts evenly in all areas (7143 hairs/2.16 hair per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 50 a 60 microns of hair; 567FU1/ 1681FU2/ 1004FU3/ 45FU4). After one year we carried out another procedure with 3051 grafts (7331 hairs; 2.4 hair per graft; 0.9 mm punch; 312FU1/ 1371FU2/ 1203FU3/ 157FU4/ 8FU5). A year later we did a 3rd procedure, with the extraction of 2404 grafts (5700 hairs; 2.37 hair per graft; 0.9 mm punch; 298FU1/ 1089FU2/ 855FU3/ 151FU4/ 11FU5). [/
  11. This 31 years old patient, with background of atopic dermatitis, come to us to close his temporal recession. He had a Slight thinning of his hair in the frontal and crown areas, so he started with finasteride 6 months before the procedure. We carried out a 1551 graft surgery with 0.75 mm punch. There was a good outcome with good coverage of his temples and the meds helped to enhance his hair quality. VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE:
  12. 5752 FUE (3051+2701) 5 months after initial treatment. This is an advanced Alopecia case and the initial plan was to do two procedures and review. In this case we want to show the evolution after 5 month prior to his second procedure. This patient will have a 3rd procedure (around 2000 FUE) to increase the general density as soon as we evaluate the outcome of his 2 first procedures. First procedure: 3051 FUE 5 months: 2nd procedure: 2701 FUE
  13. I think the term life changing springs to mind for me here. Sometimes we never really appreciate how good life is. Mick
  14. 3202 FUE + 2202 FUE, 5 months after initial surgery. This patient is delighted with his progress at this early stage. He is in his early 40's with stable loss and just returned for a 2nd procedure to the crown.
  15. This 39 years old patient came to our clinic in 2007 with advanced alopecia and without med’s. We advised to start with finasteride to stabilize his hairloss and we planned a first procedure to cover the frontal and middle area. We inserted 2601 (0.75 and 0.8 mm punch). 2 years after (2009), we carried out the second procedure to increase the density of the grafted area: 1881 grafts (0.75 mm punch).
  16. Thanks for the comments, Mickey it was around 100 or so and done on the 2nd procedure. His priority was to put everything up top as he never intends to cut his hair short. Now though he does have an option to do this if he so wishes. Mick
  17. This 34 years old patient had previous strip surgery with a poor result and abnormal closure of the temples and temporal points. He is using finasteride. We did a first repair to restore the naturalness of the frontal hair line: 2246 grafts (0.75 mm punch), we extracted and re inserted the follicles in both corners, and finished with alexandrite laser beam treatment to remove the rest of the hair. Three years later he decided to restore the crown, increase the density in middle scalp and touch up of the scar. We carried out a 1451 procedure (3125 hairs, 2.15 hair per graft, 55 microns of hair, 0.85 mm punch; 217FU1; 411FU2; 406FU3; 17FU4).
  18. This is a 37 years-old patient with advanced and non-stable alopecia at his first appointment, so he started with finasteride 1 month before his first procedure. We did a 2601 grafts procedure with the focus in his frontal and medium third. (0.75 mm punch). At the 5th month we can see the result of med’s on his crown. The final outcome due to the combination of both treatments (medical and surgical). After 15 month we decided to carry out his 2nd procedure to increase his general hair density: 2051 grafts (4402 hairs; 2.14 hair per graft; 55 microns of hair; 0.8 mm punch; 354 FU1/1083 FU2/574 FU3/40 FU4). Dr. Lorenzo This is a 33 year old patient who had been using Finasteride for one year prior to treatment We carried out a first procedure of 2701 grafts to restore the frontal area (and 400 graft for the crown): 6186 hairs; 2.29 hair per graft; 53 microns of hair thickness; 0.75-0.8 mm punch; 410 FU1/1268 FU2/854 FU3/167 FU4/ 2 FU5). Happy with the final outcome, after one year we decided to increase the general density and touch-up the frontal hairline: 1601 grafts (3824 hairs, 2.38 hair per graft; 0.85 mm punch; 178 FU1; 718 FU2/614 FU3/87 FU4/4 FU5). 20. This patient was 42 years old when he first visited for his consultation. He was already using finasteride and minoxidil,We proposed a two surgery strategy covering all areas from the beginning. We started with a 3601 grafts procedure (50 microns of hair; 0.75-0.80 mm punch). At 18 months we carried out his second procedure to increase his general density: 2051 grafts (4145 hairs, 2.02 hair per graft; 0.8 mm punch; 389 FU1/1243 FU2/406 FU3/13 FU4). Shaved donor area before the second procedure is showed. VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE
  21. This patient first came for a consultation when he was 35 years of age.At this time because his loss was not stable we advised to consider medications. He came back aged 38 with more loss but had only recently started on Finasteride. We carried out a 3101 grafts procedure mainly to cover the frontal area and reinforce the crown (6791 hairs, 2.18 hair per graft; 50 a 57 microns of hair; 0.85 mm punch; 452FU1/1666FU2/927FU3/54FU4/2FU5). At 5 months we can see the effects of med’s on the patient’s hair. So again,a good result due to the combination of both treatments (medical and surgical). VIDEO VIMEO: VIDEO YOUTUBE
